First, I want to say how truly appreciative I am of SeaWorld for offering this opportunity and allowing our family to enjoy the park with complimentary tickets. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and it meant a lot to us. We visited during the last week of July, and if you know anything about San Antonio summers, you know the heat can be brutal. Unfortunately, we happened to visit during a heat wave, so the combination of high temperatures and humidity was intense. We had my mother with us, who is handicapped, along with two younger children who are not used to that kind of heat, so we weren't able to stay as long as we originally planned. The biggest highlight of SeaWorld for us was definitely the animal attractions. We really enjoyed seeing the crocodiles, tortoises, flamingos, beluga whales, dolphins, and orcas. Those experiences were what made the visit worthwhile, and my kids absolutely loved seeing the animals. We especially appreciated the covered and indoor areas because they gave us a chance to escape the heat while still enjoying the park. The beluga whale show was a great break from the temperatures, and the orca show was another memorable experience. One thing I was surprised by (although I know many theme parks are similar) was the pricing for food and beverages. We stopped at Harbor Market because we wanted a break from the heat, some air-conditioning, and a chance to sit down and eat. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning seemed to be struggling when we walked in, so it wasn't quite the cool break we were hoping for. SeaWorld is a cashless park, so if you bring cash, you have to use a kiosk to transfer it onto a card. The kiosk does charge a fee for the transfer, which I believe was around $3.95. The food prices were definitely higher than expected. They do offer an all-day dining deal that works across SeaWorld and Aquatica for $59.99 per person, but for a family, that adds up very quickly. Especially considering the food options are pretty basic things like burgers, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, and similar theme park-style meals. They do have some Asian-inspired options like orange chicken and sweet-and-sour chicken, but overall the food was nothing that stood out. The beverage system was also interesting. With a meal, you receive one drink, but the cup is activated through a QR code at the fountain machines. Once you use it, you can't simply refill it again, which was surprising. I understand that parks may have had issues with people abusing unlimited refills, but it was still frustrating not to have the option for a refill, especially in the middle of a summer heat wave when staying hydrated is important. The Harbor Market food area itself could also use some attention. The floors were sticky, and the tables and seating areas could have used a better cleaning. I understand theme parks are busy and maintaining large dining areas is challenging, but keeping those areas clean would really improve the overall experience. The gift shops were what you would expect at a theme park cute souvenirs but definitely overpriced. We did stop and get Rita's lemonade, which was a nice treat and helped us cool down. The ride lines were another thing to consider. If you're planning on riding the roller coasters or other attractions, expect some longer wait times and plan your day accordingly. They also have a splash pad/water area where kids (and adults) can cool off, which was a nice feature, especially during the summer heat. Overall, I would give SeaWorld San Antonio about a 7/10. I don't dislike it, but I wouldn't say it was a perfect experience either. The animal attractions were truly the best part and are what gave the park its higher rating for us. My kids loved seeing the animals, and we are very grateful we had the opportunity to visit through the Veteran Appreciation program. I would definitely recommend visiting during a cooler time of year if possible because the Texas summer heat can really impact your experience.

I've visited SeaWorld and Aquatica San Antonio for years, but this trip will likely be my last…read more What used to feel like a family-focused destination now feels like nothing more than a money grab. Let's start with parking--$45 just to park per day is outrageous before you've even walked through the gate. The ride experience was incredibly frustrating. We stood in line for over 30 minutes with absolutely no movement other than people giving up and leaving. Only after we had already wasted that time did employees finally announce that the ride was broken. A simple announcement at the entrance to the queue would have saved everyone a lot of time and frustration. Aquatica was just as disappointing. They wanted $60 for a locker for only three hours because all of the smaller $30 lockers were already full. We refused to pay that much just to store our belongings. The lazy river was another letdown because there were no tubes available. Guests were hanging onto them indefinitely, and there were no employees making sure tubes were being shared so everyone had an opportunity to enjoy the attraction. Finding a place to sit was nearly impossible. People claimed chairs by leaving towels and personal belongings on them, then disappeared for hours while other families walked around searching for somewhere to sit. There didn't appear to be any employees enforcing a chair policy or addressing obvious chair hogging. Even getting into the park was poorly managed. There were only two employees collecting admission for four lanes of backed-up traffic, creating long, unnecessary delays before we even entered the park. To make matters worse, the park does not accept Louisiana's LA Wallet or other state-issued digital driver's licenses, despite many states now recognizing digital IDs as valid identification. It created an unnecessary inconvenience. The one bright spot of the day was the evening entertainment. The concert was excellent, and the fireworks were great. The drone show was impressive as well, but if you're seated in Bayside Stadium, a large portion of it is blocked by the stadium roof. Simply moving the drone performance a little farther out, I believe, would allow everyone in the stadium to enjoy the entire show. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing amusement park experiences I've ever had. Between the excessive fees, poor operations, lack of crowd management, and constant frustrations, the value simply isn't there anymore. I'll be spending my vacation dollars elsewhere from now on. This was, without question, the worst trip I've ever had to SeaWorld and Aquatica San Antonio.

Before the end of general admission hours, my sister and I were able to purchase the last 2 trays of fish to the feed the stingrays before Aquatica ran out by early evening :) ! We absolutely loved Aqua Glow because the majority of visitors from the daytime have gone home, and it's a lot easier to really enjoy the water rides and the pools without dealing with the crowds :) ! We could go on rides multiple times without waiting in long lines, and enjoy the pools without constantly bumping into other people :D ! And when the fluorescent lights come on, the entire water park is truly awesome and amazing to admire all lit up :D ! While we were standing in line for Sting Ray Falls (which for us, was a really short line), we had such a spectacular view of the Sea World fireworks :D ! You can walk barefoot throughout the park if you want to. But I personally think it's much better to have water shoes or sturdy waterproof sandals because not all pavements are smooth. However, you just have to keep in mind that you can't wear flip flops or certain shoes on the water rides, and may have to hold onto them (which is a hassle) or you can rent a locker and lock them up. Most of the small and jumbo lockers were taken. But fortunately, we were still able to rent a large locker (which is obviously bigger than a small locker, but smaller than a jumbo) for $42, and access it multiple times until the end of our rental. If time permits before Aqua Glow finishes on Sept 5, we would absolutely love to come again :D !!

I was surprised to learn that parking is a whopping $40 for standard parking & Covered parking is $70! My littles and I walked over to the front gate where the security guards were checking the guests bags, which I appreciated. There was a security guard, whose name I will not post, but I will post his initials GV. He was rudely shouting at the guests to move forward or "get out of the way because you're blocking the line" and "move it lose it people".... In my opinion, Seaworld is very much for younger children (despite them offering a few roller coasters). This type of attitude toward guests should not be allowed, and it should certainly not be the first thing people hear when entering the gates... I was there with my two toddlers. I certainly don't want someone yelling at me to "hurry up or get out of the way." That not something you tell a mom who is trying her best, or any family that just paid $40 for parking + $79 per single daily pass, at MINIMUM . I think he should be talked to and reminded he's not a bouncer, but rather a security guard at a kid/family friendly establishment. We arrived early, so we didn't have to wait long to get in, nor did we have an issue finding a seat. Surprisingly, there were plenty of seats available from open till we left, about 2pm. I was appalled at the price of popcorn (+$11) and the taste was terrible. It was HIGHLY BUTTERED AND SALTED. They sold me on the bucket because it's $5 for refills, but that's still a very high cost for popcorn. Next time I will ask them to make fresh stuff with little to no additives. As it is, it's A terrible snack for kids who are out in the sun all day. The water and ice were free, but you have to find a designated stations for it, which can be difficult for any person, especially those with littles. I think it should be more readily available for guests. I appreciated that the park offered different sections to appeal to the population. There were not many tubes at the lazy river and we sometimes had to wait a while before getting one. I would love for their floats to have bottoms so the littles can sit and enjoy. I, also, appreciated that the lifeguards were available in abundance and seemingly took their job seriously, as I didn't see them playing around or talking and such. I loved the family restrooms and the cleanliness of the restrooms because I understand it can be a challenge in Waterparks. Overall, I would go again and recommend it, but I would caution against the excessive unnecessary costs (parking & snacks/drinks). Overall, my score is based on the security guard at the entrance, and the extremely high cost of everything... which I suppose is expected at a waterpark. I did not get photos because I wanted to respect the privacy of the attendees.

According to the designers, the soaring curves mimic the action of a large ray swimming in the ocean. Multiple curves and dips are combined with airtime pops. As the train works its way over to the Rio Grande rapids ride it passes over a section of the channel before heading back toward the station. Following a few more turns and airtime hills the train returns to the station. The ride time from station release to brake varies but is approximately 1:40-1:50."

With adaptive five-point harnesses and trained, compassionate staff, guests with limited mobility can soar through the air safely and confidently. The playgrounds are thoughtfully designed for accessibility without losing any of the excitement. Smooth, wide pathways, sensory-friendly areas, and equipment that accommodates kids of all abilities mean everyone can play together, not apart. We purchased our tickets online to attend the July 4th celebration, but nowhere on the website did it mention that viewing the fireworks required an additional $17 admission. It also failed to mention that the fireworks wouldn't begin until 11:00 p.m. When we tried to get answers, no one seemed to have accurate information. Employees directed us to Customer Service, while Customer Service referred us back to employees. Unfortunately, no one was able to provide clear details, leaving many guests confused and frustrated. The experience was made even more frustrating because supervisors blamed the marketing department instead of taking ownership or providing solutions. It was clear they had very little knowledge of the actual park experience, event details, or what guests had been promised. Rather than helping resolve concerns, they shifted responsibility, leaving customers feeling ignored and unsupported. Guests shouldn't have to navigate conflicting information or excuses when they simply want accurate answers and good customer service. What made the situation even more disappointing was seeing so many people turned away. In previous years, guests were able to walk in and enjoy the fireworks, but this year's additional charge caught many by surprise and resulted in a lot of unhappy customers. The one bright spot was the fireworks themselves. The 360-degree view from inside the park was absolutely spectacular and made for an incredible show. While the fireworks were well worth seeing, the lack of communication and poor customer service significantly took away from what should have been a memorable Fourth of July experience. #SixFlagsFiestaTexas #MySixFlags

The major, and I mean major things was it was not crowded! Which was a huge relief for spring break and the crowds we dealt with every where else we went. The second MAJOR plus! The food was actually really good! You don't hear that much about amusement parks! If the family says they would eat it served anywhere else, then it's good! I recommend the family pack with food! Ok so value wise, you can look at it in two ways. The perks could outweigh the seeming thought of overpaying. It's waaaaaay cheaper than seaworld, or six flags. I can see it being worth more value if the water park section was opened. For right now, the fact the kiddos and even the misses could ride all day, and no long lines, make this a win for us. There are no token to buy, just all day wristbands. Yes the video games for the most part are dated. It's also not a huge park. There are four major rides outside. My family said the rollercoaster was a lot more violent and faster than they thought it would be. They were split whether they liked it or not. They also all loved the go kart attraction. We almost missed a small section in the inside towards the back. They had a bungee trampoline, a small rock wall, and a flight simulator! The family all enjoyed the flight simulator! It made for lots of laughs. They did have a playground and ball area for the smaller kids which we did not explore. Again, this is not a major theme park, but more like a light version with less crowds! We are coming back! The only negatives for us, the distance from where we live, the dated video game rides, and the water park being closed. It's not crazy cheap, but not crazy expensive. Hope that makes sense. It's almost like it was worth it to us because we were already driving back into town. That's pretty much it...

By "developed", I mean that lighting and a path has been installed to make traversing it A LOT easier than when it was discovered. By "path", I mean smooth, textured, non-slip, paved sidewalks from one end of the tour to the other--complete with stainless steel handrails along almost every step of it. The effort it took to make a cave system this accessible is beyond commendable. At one end of one of the tours there is a long uphill slope to get out of the cavern, but you don't have to walk--they have a roller/conveyor belt that you stand on and ride to the top. The erosion-carved rocky "rooms" of the cave system defy description. They are up to 100 feet tall, 100 feet wide, and over 200 feet long, and are filled with otherworldly mineral formations that have been actively "growing" for millions of years. Photos don't do this justice. When you see it in person, it's just breathtaking. Adult-only tours would be an occasional welcome option, as a less-than-silent baby/toddler ruins the silence that the below-ground space allows. Parking is abundant, but it is not free. Even out in the spacious Texas Hill Country they decided that $10 per car was appropriate. I hate paying to park (anywhere), and in a rural setting like this, it just feels like such a shameless money-grab! I wish they'd just charge more for the tours and let us feel like parking is "free". More intensive, deeper tours for small groups that require higher effort into undeveloped parts of the caverns are offered on a limited basis. This sounds like something worth returning for.
