What a great space to get kids energy out! Met up with some of my TLG mamas and their kiddos to have a little playdate here and I honestly didn't know what to expect, so we went with doing the day pass ($18 per person ages 1+) yes it's pricey, but I also can see how much these kids can do! You can probably guess that we upgraded to the family of 4 year pass ($180, but used our day pass cost to include into that membership). Thinking ahead here, when it will get stupid hot later in the summer time, great way to take the kids to burn their energy and not get stir house crazy being inside all day - great way to break up the day from all the screaming and jumping around. The exhibits: wow, SO much variety! It's basically 2 stories, downstairs is the main floor area, and options! When you first enter, there's giant toy puzzles shaped as gears, then another room that takes you to a full on pretend city arena where there's little tykes cars for these kids to drive around in this pretend city, a HEB store front, airplane simulation, trolley, car wash, vet office, etc. so fun for these kids! Then another room where there's instruments like a giant piano and other fun things for kids to explore. Outside, there are 2 areas, one is a bubble play area to explore ways to play with bubbles in SO many different ways. Another outside area, playground with a giant slide, water play area with boats and things that you can imagine with water. For over stimulated kiddos, there's a room downstairs that's called a "calming room" where it's much quieter than out in the open if you need time to decompress from the chaos. Upstairs, there's a pretend to play with tools and right next to it and where you can assemble flowers. Now food wise, there's a Café Bakery Lorraine downstairs which include their macaroons, sandwiches, snack platter, crossiants, etc. It's a little pricey, but at least it's good! You are allowed to bring snacks, water inside, but not outside food like actual meals. Parking: it's free and first come first served out in the front area. Overall, we'll be back since we're now members! Excited to keep taking the kids here as there is so much to do here! read more

This museum serves as a venue for evening parties, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. They constantly create excessive noise when they have music as part of those events. This noise can be heard an entire block away -- as a loud rhythmic thumping noise. They are inconsiderate in the way that they continue to do this, even after complaints have been made. There should be someone who is answerable to the neighborhood nearby. This is outrageous. They are not entitled to causing disturbances like this. This is not acceptable. read more

One of the best interactive museums so far. It's a big place of bunch of fun for kids and the parents. We came here se come time, first time we weren't able to complete the second floor and outdoor playground. There are a lot of things to play with and learn about. Staff is very friendly and helpful, amenities are new and well maintained, they offer quick bite and some drinks in the cafeteria, bathrooms are very clean. We would love to go back again. read more

So cute and fun for small kids! $18 admission for adults and kids. They have several galleries and play areas, indoor and outdoor. Especially with the hot summers, this is a fantastic place to take kids to play and learn about physics and science. Free parking in their lot. They host different events; would love to go! Annual membership for 2 people is $120, and add $30 per person added, but the membership comes with a lot of benefits, including a discount to their Cafe Lorraine and gift shop. Kids had a wonderful time at the DoSeum. It was on my daughter's to-do list but both kids really enjoyed it. What I like about it is that it's got indoor and outdoor fun. This place balances between the tech and the touch...leaning heavily on the touch. It has indoor and outdoor. Also, you can't count the number of times that I ran into various parents and friends here. It's a great place to get the kids together. Unfortunately we arrived late and didn't have much time to explore everything but what we did see & do was so much fun. I think i enjoyed it more than the kids lol. We love the Doseum!!! I just got a membership for this pay year, since my toddler was 18 months and it's been a great escape from the house. Is it worth it for $18/per person for a day trip? Depends on what $18 is for you but probably not for me. But $150 for a family (of three) unlimited visits.. is worth it! In the summer when it's too hot to do anything but we're getting stir crazy at home, we had to the Doseum for a couple hours to break up the day. I love the quiet spaces that are nice for the little kids. The outdoor play spaces are well thought out, with the large overhead fans providing a gentle breeze. The rotating exhibits are fun. They have events every month as well as art and workshop spaces that are regularly open certain days of the week. The target demographic does seem on the younger side, like toddlers to 5th grade-ish. So we'll be coming back for a while read more

We used to have a membership at the doseum in Canada and decided to give it a shot here in San Antonio. So happy we did! This place is amazing for children's imagination, creatively, and free play. We haven't made it upstairs yet but the first floor offers so many exploration rooms. They have little town, which allows the kids to shop at heb, whataburger, fly a plane, ride mini cars, go through a car wash, ride a trolley, and more all at their level and height. There is a "calm room" with sensory items and a quiet dark space to read books to simply take a breath. Tons of outdoor play areas, playgrounds, bubble fun, climbing apparatus, tree houses, the fun is endless!!! Check out some of our images. My son is 2 and a non verbal lvl 3 autistic. He absolutely loves this place. His favorite part is not the sensory/calming room. Oooh no no no he loves the baby room. I only let him in there when their r no other kids since he is a pretty big boy. But his favorite toys are baby toys. BEWARE: DON'T COME ON A SUNDAY AROUND 1:00 IN THE SUMMER. We were excited to come to this children's museum but once we tried to find a parking spot and literally were TRAPPED in the stupidly designed parking lot for 30 minutes trying to get back OUT... we had enough. This place was SLAMMED. There was only one entrance in and out of the parking lot. So many dead ends. People were stopped waiting for a spot blocking everyone else. It was a sh*t show. There was no way we were going to venture inside if it was that packed outside. Saved us $90, $180 if you count my sister's family too. read more

I was a little iffy on going here with somewhat mixed reviews but the grandkids loved their time there today. It was clean and all of the many activities were functional. We spent about 2.5 hours there. My grand kids are 4 and 7 and seemed a good age for most of the things there. I especially liked the Inside Out area. read more

We took our grandkids, ages 11 and 7, to the Doseum during a family trip to San Antonio. It was a nice experience, but activities are definitely tailored for younger kids, maybe 2-8. The older one was bored, the younger one had more fun but was still too old for some of the activities. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a small waterpark and large wooden climbing tower, which both kids enjoyed. Overall it was nice, but we expected a lot more for 18.00/person. We went to every exhibit and the kids were done within 2 hours. I should note we are from Indiana, which has the largest children's museum in the country so we are a bit spoiled. read more

Where to begin?? We LOVE The DoSeum!! We spent 5 hours here and our 5 year old was so upset when we had to leave. There is tons for kids to do from permanent exhibits to seasonal fun like "ice skating" during our December visit. I would say ages 4-10 will love this the most, although there are a few things for tiny tots to do and 10-12 year olds might find it enjoyable, as well. The parking is free and there is lots of it. We also really enjoyed the gift shop. There were so many science books and activities to choose from, we ended up buying a couple of books and one game, even though we don't usually buy souveniers. The admission price is so affordable and coming from California, we are used to paying much more for far inferior experiences. The staff are constantly walking the floor, answering questions, keeping exhibits in order/stocked, and generally maintaining the museum. We loved the museum so much, 3 days later we followed up our initial visit by attending their "Noon" Year Countdown and THAT was amazing, as well. There was face painting, crafts, a huge snack spread (including local gelato) and each child was given a conductor hat, bandana, and train whistle to take part in the theme. There was a DJ blasting celebratory music and a "noon" year countdown complete with balloon and confetti drop. This museum goes all out, thinks of every detail, and really shows a love and enjoyment of childlike wonder and learning! We are their biggest fans! If you're in the San Antonio area, I HIGHLY recommend a visit to The DoSeum. Plan to be here 5+ hours. read more

Excellent place for the kiddos to play at and use their imagination. Little Town is the popular spot here and I appreciate that they limit the amount of people who can go inside. Even with them limiting the kiddos it can get crazy in the HEB store section. My little one always talks about this place since she had so much fun. This year she spent more time in the different exhibits and exploring the different things they offer. They have an awesome outdoor area that has bamboo and a treehouse. There is a section for water play and playing with bubbles. Appreciate that they offer a nursing mother's room. I was totally going to fall asleep in there. The walls are painted green inside and there is relaxing music playing. You can find the mother's room inside the Little Doers Den. Awesome that they include this for the moms. read more

Visiting from out of town and needed to entertain my kids (5&3) for a few hours. We came here during a holiday week so it was surprisingly busy for a Friday morning. We arrived around 10 am but didn't have trouble finding parking (which was FREE btw). The museum itself was very fun. We started with the little town area which had a grocery store, a plane, a mini trolley, a car, a bank, a food truck and much more. This part of the museum seems to have an occupancy limit so watch the line as we did have to wait a bit to get in. The other exhibits we enjoyed were imagine it and sensation studios. There was a sock rink that was very fun for the kids to slide around in front of imagine it. I'm not sure if this is available year round but I would recommend having a pair of socks for your little one in case it is. Overall this was a fun place to visit and you can easily spend 2-3 hours here. read more

We decided to have some Christmas Eve fun at The DoSeum with our kids and it was a great choice! There's so much to do from becoming a detective and solving mysteries to drawing creative ideas, exploring the open play area, cutting wood with a saw, using an excavator, and even interacting with a robot that mimics your movements. My kids' favorite was the section where pipes pumped balls around. It was so engaging to watch! I'd say it's ideal for kids between 5 and 10 years old, as some activities might be a bit tricky for younger ones to figure out. Overall, it's a fantastic hands-on museum with fun activities for everyone. If you're planning a birthday party, they also have private rooms which is a nice option. read more

In SA for the weekend, the DoSeum was recommended by a friend as a fun day to spend with the little one. What a great children's museum! This place is packed with different rooms and spaces that keep the little ones busy and excited, all day (thank god). Whatever activity your kid gravitates to - be it dressing up in different scenarios at Little Town (shopping, construction, airplane crew, etc), role playing at the Spy Academy, shooting balls at the Force Course, or just playing outside on with the water works and the big climb in the Great Outdoors - there's plenty to keep them busy and its fun for the adults too. We had an awesome time as a family and the DoSeum is a great way to spend a day - especially when the weather isn't cooperating. The DoSeum will be on our list again for the next SA trip. read more

Great children's museum! There are plenty of activities here for kids to enjoy. There were some non working activities but a ton of other things to do. My son loved the outdoor activities the most but he loves anything with water. I was a little disappointed with the water bubble section as there was not enough soap to create the bubbles. He also enjoyed little town which had a grocery store, cars, airplane, excavator and much more. He also enjoyed the spy kids area. It would be nice if they had some sort of indoor playground especially for the super hot days. Overall, it's a great museum, some of the better children's museum that I've been to. I am fairly new to San Antonio and have been looking for things to do. I came across an advertisement for The DoSeum, and decided to take my 4 year old grandson. The museum is ok at best, but he enjoyed himself, so that was all that mattered at the time. Once we entered the first thing he noticed was gift shop and wanted to go in right away, I convinced him to look around the museum first and promised we would visit the gift shop on the way out. Before leaving we went to the shop, now mind you when we entered the museum there were people shopping in the shop, I didn't see an employee standing at the door of the shop nor walking the floors, even while walking the museum, we passed the gift shop several times while going to see exhibits, he wanted to go in every time we passed but I told him we would on the way out. There was never an employee standing by the door or walking the floor. Now we are preparing to leave, once again no employee in sight, but as soon as me and my grandson entered the shop and walked pass the counter suddenly two white male employees appeared from the back of the store, the younger one went to the register and the older one went and stood by the entrance of the shop, now I've been on this earth for a lot of years and I know racial profiling when I see it. These two white males were no where in sight while all the other non-black patriots were shopping and I noticed that as soon as I walked in, but only seconds after I entered with my 4 year old grandson did these two for lack of a better description because I am so upset (POS's) came from the back, watched me as I walked around that tiny little gift shop and the older one went and stood by the door, as if I was going to steal that cheap overpriced . The only reason I made a purchase was because my grandson who is innocent and obvious to racism wanted to go so bad and I wasn't going to disappoint him, but you old, disgusting, racist poor excuse for a human, should be ashamed of yourself. It's 2026 and you are still ignorant. This happened to me today 3/19/26 at 2:12p.m. I will never take him there again and subject him to that type of treatment. And those employees need to be terminated. If you have biases towards a certain group of people, you should never be allowed to be employed in public spaces. read more

The DoSeum has activities that include pretending to shop at H‑E‑B digging with a Caterpillar Skid Steer Loader and exploring space and much more. FRIENDS, I can NOT believe it took us 6 months to visit this place. The hesitation came from thinking "ew, downtown, that sounds like a messy situation w/ a toddler. Who has time to find parking and walk longer distances than necessary?!" WRONG, DoSeum has its own private lot, and it's not some small shack where you take your little ones to burn off all their energy either. This place had me wishing I was young enough to do these activities again! This place was Disneyland in the eyes of my 2 year old. With many different sections, it was a bit difficult to steer her into where we wanted to go. I found it best to just let her wander to whichever activity caught her eye. I'm not too sure how well this place would take to someone in their pre-teen years, but for children 9 and below, this is as close to heaven on earth as you can get. Outside of the activities, the service up front was incredible. The girls were ever so helpful in answering ALLLLLL my questions (and this mama had quite a few). A nice children museum. There is plenty of different activities to play here. I'd say a majority is for older kids. Around kindergarten and up though. There is a small town for toddlers but there is a separate line to get in there. Unfortunately it wasn't moving quick and we were on toddler time so we couldn't experience it. It looks amazing though. Has a small grocery and airport, I bet our daughter would love it but she was not going to wait in the line. She really enjoyed the bubbles exhibit outside but it was Texas heat so it was a little too hot for summer time out there. Overall the museum was quite warm inside especially if you add chasing a toddler around. A few of the exhibits were closed during our visit which was a bummer. The parking is a bit tight and not that many places. When we first arrived there was a line out the door to get in and no parking. We went to have lunch down the road and returned back. The parking was scarce still but there wasn't a line out the door. I'd give it another try perhaps in the winter time or when my daughter is a bit older. read more

The DoSeum is one of our daughter's favorite places to visit. She spends a lot of time in each area, and it's always worth the trip there. I love that it's a safe place for families to go to and that the people are always so kind to the kids. I also feel comfortable knowing that my newborn will have an area for me to nurse him in the next time we visit. My kids love going here! It is so much fun. The age range would be 13 and below, but even as an adult, I had fun playing and exploring with the kids. They have a gift shop, play grocery center, spy center, sensation center (sound & light), reading center, outdoor playground, outdoor water play, outdoor bubbles, and cafe on the first floor. The second floor has a geography center, STEM center (VR/Robots), and air tunnels. We spend a few hours there and ate at the cafe. The food was hot and fresh but a bit on the pricy side but to be expected. Once you pay for admission, you can leave and come back and there are other food establishments close by as an option as well. The restrooms were clean everything was well maintained. Some places that have a high traffic of children get run down and tired but this place was wonderful. Each center we visit was very interactive and memorable for the family. Ridiculous. I'm not paying $18 bucks for myself to watch the kids play! Heck no! So stupid I hate when places do that!

We drove down from Austin specifically for the Gabby's Dollhouse event. When we purchased museum tickets over a week in advance, there was no mention of needing to reserve anything for the event. Just to check with staff about waitlists the day of. We did not receive notice of the change/ need for reservations and did not learn there was a requirement (and that all the available times were at capacity) until we drove 1.5 hours to attend. Thank goodness another patron overhead our confusion and told us about the new requirements before we stood in the meet and greet line for 20+ minutes. We do not live in San Antonio and are not following Doseum social media or San Antonio event pages, so there was no way for us to know of the change unless we stalked their website. We saw the Gabby character in passing, but my toddler didn't seem to understand why she couldn't meet her like I had stupidly mentioned in the days leading up to the visit. We put our tickets to use and spent around 2 hours in the museum. Toddler really enjoyed the various activities, but we have similar hands-on children-centered stuff closer to home. Some don't require parents/adults to pay full price to watch their children play. I was also under the impression there would be Gabby-specific activities, but there weren't any that I could find. I don't think I'd make the trip again. read more
