If you're in town, you can just bring your kids to LEGOLAND. Kids really enjoy spending time there on their own. The price could be a little cheaper for the entertainment provided. Anyway, it's all for the kids -- if they enjoy it, that's enough for the parents.

I don't think the price is worth the experience but I do think it's a cool concept that included a small ride. I wish it was a little bit more interactive with more planned activities for building things. This seems to be a place for smaller kids like toddlers rather than young kids (8+). Some other displays were not working (buttons) and I feel like the $7.00 activity pack was a waste of money. The actual demos were pretty cool. I also appreciate it the fact that they provide complementary or discounted parking.

It was really small but it was lots of fun my baby boy loved it and keeps asking to go back so we most likely will.

Totally fun time at Lego Discovery Center today. We bought tickets ahead of time online. We were able to book a time of our liking and arrived with plenty of time to enjoy the space and all the Legos we wanted. It's not The first attraction is a ride, where you have to shoot your way through to find and save a baby dragon. Then you will head through Lego Master Kevin's 1.5million piece rendition of the city. It is a really amazing likeness of your favorite Downtown location. We also opted for the $8 activity book, which gives the Discovery Center rooms a purpose. The kids can complete tasks and stamp their progress. If you get hungry there's an in house cafe that serves sandwiches and Starbucks. There is another ride called Merlin's Adventure, teo playgrounds (one for little kids and and one for little kids). Every other hour there's a Lego Expert led Creative Workshop. Violet was super patient with my kiddos. They would regularly ask her about the Legos around the Discovery Center. She was awesome and taught us names for the weird shapes like BURP and SNOT. The one thing we missed was the 4D Lego Experience, but the kids were stoked about coming back...so, for next time. It was a fun time for Lego builders if all ages. We would go again.

Do you have little ones? Toddlers, maybe young kids ages 5-9? This place may be the outing you need in order to burn off their energy but also challenge their creative minds. Located inside of the Rivercenter Mall Shops (along Riverwalk), it's easy to find if you are parking in the garage. Parking costs $15 for up to 4 hours, which I think is sufficient time for this discovery center. The SeaLife Aquarium is right next to Legoland and combo tickets can be purchased for quite a nice discount. I wouldn't recommend taking kiddos less than 1 to Legoland discovery center because I'm really unsure of what they could do. Inside, there are a few rides which was kinda cool because of how limited the space seemed. They have a car building station, a few places where kiddos can sit and adults can watch their imagination unfold, and even an indoor playground (one for older kiddos and one for toddlers). There is a plethora of figurines which leave you in AWE because of how detailed they are. You could purchase an annual pass if you have the type of kid who would do this thing daily, but for us, we will have to wait a while. Oooo and for us adults, there is a coffee shop inside! So don't fret if your child doesn't want to leave.

Kept the kids entertained for several hours. The combo ticket w SeaLife is worth it IMO. Some cool things but a tad underwhelming. The 4d movie was terrible, not sure why it's advertised as 4D and the Dreams movie they just started playing wasn't great (no story at all, very little dialogue). Some water sprays which was fun for the kids tho. Good way to spend the morning in San Antonio to escape this scorching heat.

We decided to make an afternoon at Legoland discovery on our recent San Antonio trip. It is in the the shopping mall situated on the riverwalk and although a bit of a trek, it was still in walking distance, even for our 4 year old. They do have a pretty cool setup here where I think there is enough variability where this place has just about everything for all ages of kids. You can choose to partake in the activity pack which will allow your little one to track their progress at all the stops, a bit of a treasure hunt. Your first stop is a bit of an amusement park ride - where you shoot at lego targets, similar to interactive rides at entertainment parks. After the first ride you get to walk through the display area to see a lego San Antonio, Alamo and flowing Riverwalk and all. Once in the main area - they have 8-10 other stations that all have a theme as well as a different level of complexity, really cool! It kept our little one busy and was entertaining for us adults as well. All in all, it was a great way to spend a hot summer afternoon and we are excited to check out the discover center up our way when our little one needs his next lego fix.

This was our second time to visit Legoland. It's really best for kids under 12. What surprised me about this place is that it's not actually a theme park, which is what I had expected. It's more like an indoor play place. It's located inside River Center Mall which has access to the Riverwalk, so that's nice. It's really not the kind of place you could spend all day at unless you're really trying to. There are two rides and a Virtual Reality ride you can purchase for an extra charge. There is an indoor play scape that the kids really love, and a cafe that I would honestly skip unless you're starving. We ate right before we came and planned to eat lunch here, which we did, but it was pretty disappointing, mostly snack bar food and kid food although there is coffee, and there are plenty of options for little kids and some allergen conscious food options, so I appreciated that. The 4d movie could probably use some repairs, the fans just blew the entire time which made it cold, and the water jets only sprayed certain seats and dropped between scenes so depending on where you sit you could come out completely dry or drenched. I think they might be suffering the same staffing shortages as many businesses because it was kind of a mess, there was no soap in any of the bathrooms and overflowing trash cans, and the only employees I saw were stationed at rides or attractions, so there wasn't really anyone to talk to if you had questions or issues. I will say miniland was really cool, and my kids really enjoyed Legol overall.

Went with my friends to take their kids to this Discovery Center and I must say it's a tad confusing for those if its their first time. Upon arrival it's a bit chaotic as they try to push you to purchase their bundles to enjoy LEGOLAND and Sea Life. Once you pay and take the elevators up you'll be ushered into a line to take group photos (don't worry you can pay $$$ to get a copy as you leave for the day) and then you're ushered into another line. I kinda wish there was signage to inform you the very first ride was optional and that you can actually move forward without it. The way the layout is set leads you to think it's a must. The main area is what the kids go crazy for as that's where you can build models and enjoy the discovery center. I did enjoy the lego replica of the city though which had a daytime and nighttime feature.

    Matt G.

Wouldn't recommend. 100 bucks for 3 people to really just go look at Lego sculptures, which is only 1 room. They have time slots to go in but NO organization on how long people from previous time slots can go in. So even though your time slot may be 15 people, there is 100+ more waiting for you upstairs and you aren't able to do anything. Too many people. Not worth the money unless your time slot #1. Don't do it. Save your money unless they reorganize their processes.

I was quite surprised at how much there really is to do here. I was a bit skeptical based on the other reviews I'd seen and thought this could be a bust but I needed to entertain two kids (2&4) with something to do. There was a really cool exhibit to start the experience where you could see Lego San Antonio. There were neat little references to the city and some parts were even interactive and the legos would move around. After the exhibit area was the interactive section. There was a car building and racing section, some duplo legos to play with, a Lego friends section, and a Lego dots to make decorative pieces for the wall. We also got to experience the rides and the movie. The movie was a 4d experience. It was a bit wetter than I had expected but the kids enjoyed it. The rides were a shooting experience with laser guns and a merry go round style spinning ride. The shooting one was fun and we did it a few times! Before we left we got to participate in a workshop where the kids could learn to make an item in an instructor led activity. It was about 20 minutes long and we made an ornament. We thought you might be able to keep what you made but this was not the case. All in all, its only about 1-2 hours of activity but the kids throughly enjoyed themselves and I think we did everything we possibly could during that time. P.s. if you like legos, across from the Alamo is a Lego build of the Alamo with the battle taking place.

    Complete mess

For $35pp this place is a disappointment. Specifically bc of the lazy and apathetic employees and management. The area to build a car was completely short on wheels. It took 30 minutes for an employee to bring more. Every area of the place is filthy and no one is helping to clean up - and I say this after watching these areas for 2 hours during our visit. For the $220 we spent for our family of 5 to visit here, we will not return, nor recommend it.

I've been to the main legoland in California and the mini legoland in a Boston shopping ctr. This is a mini shopping ctr one. In fact, it's inside Riverpark /river walk mall. I recommend paring in the Commerce street garage ($15-20 for 4-5 hrs parking) and going to floor A. It's right by those doors next to Sealife. If you buy the combo ticket, you must visit legoland first before the aquarium. It's not an option to choose which you want to see first. Anyway, it's small with a small cafe with latte and snacks. Smaller than the Boston legoland. There are 2 rides included and a 4d movie which thru should but did t give anyone glasses to wear. They do spray viewers with water so just a heads up. There's a 3rd rude that requires extra fee. The play gym area requires socks. You can buy them at the cafe for $1. Overall kids were entertained for about 2 hrs. Souvenir pics are $35. There's a gift shop too. I liked it.

I've been to this particular Six Flags location over 25 times over my lifetime, and it has a great mix of rides for everyone. In my opinion, there are better Six Flags theme parks like Six Flags over Texas in Arlington and Six Flags Great America in Chicago, but this one in San Antonio is pretty good. It comes with several high thrill ride options like Iron Rattler (my favorite), Superman Krypton Coaster, and Wonder Woman. It also has lots of tamer rides for all ages. The food options are also pretty good, especially Johnny Rockets (those burgers and fries are amazing). As for crowds, it's hit or miss. Just know that on weekends around Halloween, Fright Night gets pretty packed. Same for Christmas at the Park. I once waited in line for over 2 hours to ride Iron Rattler. Less busy times like early May before the real summer kicks off, wait times are all less than 30 minutes even for the popular rides. There is also a water park directly connected inside the park so that's super convenient. In Dallas the water park is completely separate. As for pricing it's gone up over the years (even parking is $40 now whereas it was $20 not too long ago), but compared to the high end theme parks like Disney and Universal, Six Flags is very affordable. Enjoy!

Six Flags Over Texas is easily one of the more visually unique parks in the chain …read more The setting really stands out - it's built against a quarry wall, which gives it a cool backdrop you don't see at most theme parks. I also loved the consistent Hispanic/fiesta-style theming throughout the park. It adds a fun, vibrant energy that makes the whole place feel lively and different. Getting into the park was surprisingly smooth and fast, which is always a great way to start the day. Once inside, the atmosphere is super energetic with lots going on, but be ready for crowds - especially on busy days. A couple things to plan for: parking is pretty expensive ($39 for general and $55 for premier), so keep that in mind when budgeting your trip. Also, the Texas heat is no joke, so definitely come prepared with water, sunscreen, and maybe a game plan to stay cool. Overall, it's a fun, high-energy park with a unique look and vibe. If you can handle the heat and crowds, it's a great place to spend the day.

While some of that debate may still exist, I was pleasantly surprised by how much there actually is to do & how fun & engaging the scheduled shows are. SeaWorld ended up being an absolute blast for me & my family! There was so much going on that it was hard to know where to begin. We went to the beluga & Pacific white-sided dolphin experience, then the sea lion talk where we watched the sea lions dance & do tricks, which was really fun. One of the highlights was the Imagine Ocean puppet experience. It was a glow in the dark, super immersive, & honestly magical experience for me & my kids. We also went to the orca encounter, which was such a delight. They have splash zones & it was hilarious watching the killer whales jump & flip in the air while the crowd got unexpectedly soaked at certain moments of the show. Also be aware, if you plan on sitting in the "splash zones" during the whale, dolphin, or sea lion shows, I suggest wearing a bathing suit under your clothes & bringing a small towel because you will get soaked depending how close you are sitting in the front. However, the splash zones are clearly labeled on the seat backs so you will know whether you are considered within range of getting wet to determine whether that's a good fit for you. We sat in the splash zone on our first orca experience but farthest back of the splash zone & still got a good soak, but the folks down at the front were drenched in water. When it's a hot day that sounds refreshing, today when we went it got quite windy & cold toward the evening so we opted to steer clear of any & all splash zones. They have a huge playground area for kids, which I'd estimate is great for children under about age 12, plus a separate playground for the younger little ones. There is a wide variety of food options like ice cream, burgers, cupcakes, & carbonated drinks. I would describe the food as pretty mediocre, & it is definitely expensive. You are allowed to bring water bottles into the park but no outside food or drinks. We brought my daughter's sippy cup with milk & a backpack & no one questioned it. I definitely recommend bringing a backpack so you have somewhere to keep your belongings, although the park does offer lockers near the entrance if you do opt to store your stuff. I also suggest downloading the SeaWorld app. It's super helpful & easy to use as it gives you up to the minute daily schedules of what events & shows are happening by the hour. There was also a plethora of rollercoaster rides for those who enjoy a thrill! Even though we did not ride any of the roller coasters this visit, it was still fun watching people climb up the massive tracks before the big drop & hearing everyone scream with excitement as they flew past. The way the park is laid out puts you pretty close to many of the rides, so you get a great view of them even if you are not riding. If you think you will go to SeaWorld at least twice a year, I would suggest going with the annual pass. More bang for your buck. A single day pass starts at $50 & goes up from there depending if you add a dining experience to your day pass. Right now during spring break you can get the basic adult annual pass for $99, which includes access to their aquatic park. Kids under 5 are currently offered free annual park passes. We grabbed two for our kids. The free kid passes do not include the aquatic section like the adult pass does, but you can add that for roughly $39.99 per child before taxes, which is still very reasonable. With the basic annual pass you do not have to pay for parking, & there are higher membership tiers that include dining & merchandise discounts that may be worth the cost depending on how much you plan to eat inside the park because the cost of food & drinks add up quickly. For example, we bought one electrolyte drink like a Powerade & it was about $9. A small Dippin' Dots ice cream cup came out to almost $15 after tax & tip. Something else to know is that every time you check out at a register there is a tipping option. I usually tip because I worked in the service industry before so I have a soft spot, but I can understand how it might feel excessive when every single purchase asks for a tip, even when someone is just ringing you up for a drink. My advice is to eat before you arrive so you are not relying too heavily on park food. Also definitely bring your water bottle. Overall it was an amazing experience, especially for the kids. They were thrilled by the whale, dolphin, & sea lion shows. It was entertaining for the adults too. We laughed a lot & had a great day. Giving SeaWorld 4 stars because the cost of food & drinks is egregiously expensive when you take into account tipping for every purchase. Costs add up quickly even with having a pass. That said, we will definitely be back.

GREAT EXPERIENCE & PRICE WITH GROUPON! I decided to go racing here with friends for my birthday!…read moreSomething told me to check Groupon. Sure enough there was a Groupon for $48 for 2 races for 2 people and memberships for both or 4 races for 1 person and a membership for that person. My babe and I used both races during this single visit. Each race consisted of 14 laps around the track. The race cars go super fast (40-50mph). The first race was nerve wrecking because as a newbie you're getting used to the car, track and speed. However, the second race I was Danika Patrick, lol. I went from 7th place to 2nd place and this was my first time at K1 Speed! Overall had a great time celebrating my birthday. The facility is nice and clean! They have arcade games and lounges, table to relax at during down time after your race. The staff were very friendly! At the end I realized I could have received a free race on my birthday but I had already left the facility. I contacted them promptly and the added a race credit to my account for the next day! Great Customer Service!

Basic customer service was missing, which really took away from the whole vibe of the place. When you're spending your time and money, you expect at least a decent experience, but this just didn't deliver. Personally, I would avoid this place unless they seriously improve how they treat customers.

We bought my 5 yo daughter an unlimited rides wrist band for $14, and she tried all 7 of the rides!…read more She enjoyed the Ferris wheel and rode it multiple times! The carousel was also super fun and the only ride where parents are allowed on (and for free with your child). I like the carousel has a more of a galloping motion instead of a straight up and down motion. We came on the weekend after Christmas in the early afternoon and spent about 1.5 hours here. They dont have attendants at each ride but it's easy to get their attention if they aren't at a ride that you want to go on. It's not busy by any means, but there were a few kids on most rides with her. No Lines which is important for an impatient kid! Overall, great for the 3-6yo age range! Brings back all the nostalgia too of when I was a kid and went on these rides! Happy 100 anniversary Kiddie Park!

It's been around since the 1920's and my friend whose daughter's birthday we went to said her AND her Mom had been there before! 2 generations! That was fascinating to me! Apparently they moved it from its original location and now it's next to the zoo and u think it's actually owned by the zoo. It has a very very vintage feel almost spooky lol but it was a very fun experience! My daughter had a blast and I will definitely be bringing her back! One last thing, parking is a challenge! We parked in the zoo free parking next to the brackenridge park and it was so crowded and busy! We eventually found parking. I still highly recommend!

So much fun! This…read moreis a great waterpark for parents of babies and toddlers. Often times, there are not many fun options for smaller children. My 5 year old had a wonderful time, exploring all the options she had. I was so excited seeing how much fun she had running from pool to pool. It was a rainy day, so there was plenty of parking and we walked up to the ticket check in. It was nice that there was a dedicated lined for strollers. We purchased the meal plan which made it worth it for 7+ hours with a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids). There were plenty of dining options and the food was pretty food considering it's a theme park. There were very specific rules stated by some of the attendants on the slides. My cousin was told once he reached the top of the slide that he was not permitted to because there was a zipper on his swim trunks. This was confusing because I did not see on the FAQ's that zippers were not allowed on swim trunks. Besides that, we had no snags in our day. It was raining on and off throughout the day, which was nice because there was an overcast, with was nice because it was not too hot. Overall it was a very fun day. If I lived in San Antonio, I would definitely purchase the season pass because it's very reasonably priced.

I bought an annual pass that will give free parking and +1 free ticket every time I go! That's a steal. Parking gets filled but there are plenty! The area is so large, so plan to walk so much! They have great lockers which are easy to handle and glad they have keypad locks. I really didn't anticipate the quality of the rides to be this good since this is my first time to Aquatica. My favorites were : Sting Ray falls Wallahalla Wave Hooroo run My favorite was sting ray since you go beneath the sting rays but that's only towards the end of the ride but the ride itself was so much fun where you sit in a donut with a group and go through a slide! Wallahalla wave was my next best, a family could go in a tube and enjoy this. It goes down and then it comes to the top with speed and goes down again with gravity!
