What an amazing spot for parties! My son was invited to one of his best friend's birthday party here and it was such a good time. The front room had such an awesome selection of sets, I was fascinated just walking in and looking at everything they had to offer, and once we went to the back party room, the host (Mr. Ron) was so engaging and friendly! The best part I think was that it was a good time for everyone - even the parents were able to participate. (I made my best attempt at building, and ended up with a T Rex holding some broccoli). Update: we had the $299 8th birthday party this week and it was totally worth it and Ron is amazing teaching kids! We joked he's like a Lego Super Manny! Lol. We had about 10 kiddos, and we were able to keep them safe following CDC precautions. At This price point we provided our own pizza and cupcakes however if you get one of the bigger packages they're longer and include everything. Ours was 1.5 hours. Highly recommend! 5 stars! Let me start with the fact that my son is obsessed with Legos. This was our go to place when he was little. This review is a little bit more than that... I am an only parent, not a single parent... My son is a six year Cub Scout and Boy Scout, and currently a patrol leader of Troop 59 -Alamo Heights So...(go down this road with me) I got a phone call tonight that my major client is coming in tomorrow and I had no idea what to do with my son. I called, and we had this amazing conversation about how he could come in and help not only be there but help and help others with their Legos. This is what I love so much about this company. Yes they are there for every building need -you need for your kids-but I have learned they are there for your kids. Tomorrow is Lake's "first job" He is so excited. He said mom "I can be there to clean all the Legos and sort and do whatever they need" What's so great about this place... Is there they teach your children how to build Legos, but they also teach them how to become unbelievable people and they are so supportive. Lake's is a registered ambassador for Legos. NY4123! This was an amazing find with all sorts of legos from every genre - fantasy, scifi, and modern. While it may not be as comprehensive as a full-on lego shop, it has enough selection for any wide-eyed kid looking to try out a new (very expensive) hobby. What I loved about this establishment was the owner. She was super helpful when I called about collecting pieces required for a team building exercise. When I arrived, she went above and beyond to make sure that I pick the most cost-effective items for my needs. I do recommend that if you're not a big fan of boxarts, to consider buying the used lego sets and then just disassemble them yourselves for a much cheaper price! read more

Stopped in on a whim, and so glad we did! Although we didn't purchase very much, they really took a lot of time helping us find the pieces my son was looking for to make his Sigfig (I think that's what it was called ), and never made us feel rushed or like we were a bother! The owner, Ron, and his wife were in the store and they were very friendly. While we were there, other customers came in to pick up orders or shop around, and we were never made to feel like we needed to get out, or hurry up. I'm really sorry I can't think of the name of the gentleman who mainly helped us. He had a beard and a headband, and had a crazy knowledge/photographic memory of every brick in the store, and what set it originally came from! This was the best experience! Honestly we had no expectations because we found SA plastic Bricks by googling party ideas for kids. We got the explorer package and it was the most stress free and fun birthday party I could have asked for! Pizza, Cake, and gift bags were provided. Adults and kids alike had a blast! If I could give them a 10, I would! Went for our granddaughter's birthday party and it was, without a doubt, far and away ahead of ANY other birthday party I've been to - this was the best. All the kids had a great time and ALL the adults, too. Mr. Ron has this down - the activities involved everyone and we all had fun and learned some things, too. Highly recommend this place for parties - and the do parties for adult groups, too. They're moving to a space 3 times larger later in February, 2022, so wait until the new space. I found this place through Groupon, and we visited in the beginning of the Summer. The owner, Ron, was so welcoming and talked the the boys about every LEGO they picked up! He gave me a flyer for the upcoming summer camps and I signed the boys up for the Minecraft all day camp. When I came that day to pick them up after camp, Jaxon (my oldest) begged me to have his birthday party there. I signed him up right away. We had the party yesterday and it was so much fun. I continued to get text messages last night from people who attended telling me how unique and engaging the party was. Everyone is included in the fun- even the adults who were excited to play too! If planning a child's bday party and want to break out of the mold, you really have to give this a second look. Even if you have never picked up a Lego in your life, everyone will have a good time. This was the first child's party i have been to where the adults actually participated in the fun and games. Normally we stand around awkwardly watching the kids (and our watches). Not here. The owner acts as an MC of sorts: it's not intrusive, tedious or corny, I promise. Extremely entertaining. Lots of laughs. He even helps pass out the food. This store is conveniently located on McCollough Ave. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the store but you have to walk all the way around to get to the front door, which is the only accessible door to the store. Inside, the store is full of LEGO sets and minifigures (the little plastic LEGO citizens). It's a child(and adult fan of LEGO's(AFOL) dream. They have old and new sets for sale with a bit of a markup. In the rear of the store is a meeting room where they can host birthday parties and LEGO camps for children. The room is nicely decorated with mosaics and a black Millenium Falcon from Star Wars. The store is a bit small and it feels cramped. I feel like I might bump into something and knock something down. They have a few models that were custom designed as well as peg board hooks of minifigures from just about every theme. You just may find that hard to find one you have been looking for here. Lastly, I'd like to point out the grab sandbox. They have a bunch of random pieces you can buy. Sort of like a fill up your own grab bag. This is a one of a kind LEGO store that isn't owned by LEGO, but their specialty is to sell you sets and figures that you missed. This is a family owned store and their job isn't to compete with the big boxed stores or with the LEGO store itself, but to mostly sell what's not available first. They will occasionally sell current sets(that may be previously been opened/built). read more

I had the opportunity to come here for the first time, not because I had a strong desire to play with legos, but because my son was invited to a birthday party. I'll admit, I wasn't thrilled to be spending my Saturday afternoon watching children play, however to my surprise, I ended up having a wonderful time! Ron is great with the kids and does a phenomenal job at getting the whole group involved. He even does adult gatherings and it's bring your own beverage! The store's bulk bin had a ton of pieces, and if you couldn't find what you were looking for, they would bring out bins from the back room with pieces that were separated by shape. This is by far the best place to get LEGO in town so far, beating out even the LEGO Store in come cases. They don't have many of the newer sets but they shine by having a bunch of the older ones as well as sorted bricks for those specific builds you need to complete. I get a bunch of loose bricks here all the time and never leave disappointed. The boxed and loose sets on display are of a great deal and they have a wall filled with minifigs to pick from.
