This place is great. Ron, the owner, is super friendly and will help you find whatever it is you are looking for. The rest of the staff are just as wonderful. They helped me find some harder-to-find bricks for a MOC. I've sold some sets here and got a better price than the other places you can sell to. They have lots of awesome sets displayed. Great experience all-around. read more

The first time I met Ron he told me a story about putting his face between his mother's extremely large breasts as an 18-year old man when he said goodbye to her at an airport on his way to Japan. I should have taken my child out of the camp at that very moment. Then even though I did not consent, he used my child's photos on two different media platforms on two different days with multiple pictures. The employee told me they never check consent forms. Ron only apologized when I made him, and after he sent me veiled threatening texts when I said I would get a lawyer if needed. He also texted my personal cell phone after I moved our communications to email. My son, who attends school and has attended multiple summer camps as a star student, reported being picked on all week and did not want to go. Finally, he had a huge outburst on the last day of camp when bullied (I was told it was the other student's first day, as if that was an excuse). I was asked to pick him up less than an hour after dropping him off. Even though I was told throughout the week by three different employees that everything was going fine with my son in class (when I reported he was being picked on). Suddenly, after I told Ron I would get a lawyer re. the illegal posting of my son's image, Ron told me that my son's behavior had been unacceptable all week and that he would show videos of my child to CPS if needed (not sure what that has to do with Ron's posting of my son's photos and clearly written as a veiled threat, but I would have liked him to do so they could see my child being picked all week on in his care). He also told me he would give me a partial refund if I signed a release of claims against him and his employees. I wonder why he has them on-hand? I am only not suing him because it is not worth my time or money but I'll happily post if he tries to deny it. Send your child to this camp at your own risk and moms, stay away from him, I've never had a camp-owner talk to me about putting his face in his mom's breasts before and can't understand why a man would say that to a new female customer. read more

What an amazing spot for parties! My son was invited to one of his best friend's birthday party here and it was such a good time. The front room had such an awesome selection of sets, I was fascinated just walking in and looking at everything they had to offer, and once we went to the back party room, the host (Mr. Ron) was so engaging and friendly! The best part I think was that it was a good time for everyone - even the parents were able to participate. (I made my best attempt at building, and ended up with a T Rex holding some broccoli). There was also tasty pizza provided from the restaurant next door, Sofia's. The kids had such a good time, and there was never a dull moment. I highly recommend this party spot! read more

Super friendly staff. Owner Ron gave us special attention and offered to help us find whatever we needed. Their display of rare and older Lego sets makes me want to buy the whole store. You won't regret coming again and again. My son and I are already planning our next trip back read more

1. A great hobby shop with some truly rare Lego sets to buy or even just look at. 2. I came here for my niece's birthday party and we played a series of great games. It was a lot of fun for the kids and for some unintentionally competitive adults. Some good, super wholesome fun! Would recommend. read more

San Antonio Plastic Bricks - Jurassic Park lego set - Toy Stores Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

A dear friend and long time patron of San Antonio Plastic Bricks first directed me to give this place a try. On his birthday, we went and built our own mini figures to look like us. The owner, Ron, was extremely helpful in finding pieces to build our ideal figures. We had a blast and appreciated how knowledgeable and helpful he was! In addition, he is always willing to look for and order pieces. If you want it, Ron can find it. We have been back many times due to his impressive inventory and willingness to order pieces he doesn't happen to have in stock at that moment. If you want a LEGO experience that is relaxed, extremely helpful, and fun for all ages then visit Plastic Brick! read more

Update: we had the $299 8th birthday party this week and it was totally worth it and Ron is amazing teaching kids! We joked he's like a Lego Super Manny! Lol. We had about 10 kiddos, and we were able to keep them safe following CDC precautions. At This price point we provided our own pizza and cupcakes however if you get one of the bigger packages they're longer and include everything. Ours was 1.5 hours. Highly recommend! 5 stars! My son LOVED the party. read more

We attended a bday party here and it fully revived our kids' interest in legos. Highly recommend

Let me start with the fact that my son is obsessed with Legos. This was our go to place when he was little. This review is a little bit more than that... I am an only parent, not a single parent... My son is a six year Cub Scout and Boy Scout, and currently a patrol leader of Troop 59 -Alamo Heights So...(go down this road with me) I got a phone call tonight that my major client is coming in tomorrow and I had no idea what to do with my son. I called, and we had this amazing conversation about how he could come in and help not only be there but help and help others with their Legos. This is what I love so much about this company. Yes they are there for every building need -you need for your kids-but I have learned they are there for your kids. Tomorrow is Lake's "first job" He is so excited. He said mom "I can be there to clean all the Legos and sort and do whatever they need" What's so great about this place... Is there they teach your children how to build Legos, but they also teach them how to become unbelievable people and they are so supportive. Lake's is a registered ambassador for Legos. NY4123! I am so incredibly proud of him and just to know this company- that supports our kids and their individual needs and potential! so grateful for such a great company!!! read more

This was an amazing find with all sorts of legos from every genre - fantasy, scifi, and modern. While it may not be as comprehensive as a full-on lego shop, it has enough selection for any wide-eyed kid looking to try out a new (very expensive) hobby. What I loved about this establishment was the owner. She was super helpful when I called about collecting pieces required for a team building exercise. When I arrived, she went above and beyond to make sure that I pick the most cost-effective items for my needs. I do recommend that if you're not a big fan of boxarts, to consider buying the used lego sets and then just disassemble them yourselves for a much cheaper price! read more

Stopped in on a whim, and so glad we did! Although we didn't purchase very much, they really took a lot of time helping us find the pieces my son was looking for to make his Sigfig (I think that's what it was called ), and never made us feel rushed or like we were a bother! The owner, Ron, and his wife were in the store and they were very friendly. While we were there, other customers came in to pick up orders or shop around, and we were never made to feel like we needed to get out, or hurry up. I'm really sorry I can't think of the name of the gentleman who mainly helped us. He had a beard and a headband, and had a crazy knowledge/photographic memory of every brick in the store, and what set it originally came from! I just want to remember where my keys and my glasses are! Great shopping experience, and we'll be back! Thank you! read more

This was the best experience! Honestly we had no expectations because we found SA plastic Bricks by googling party ideas for kids. We got the explorer package and it was the most stress free and fun birthday party I could have asked for! Pizza, Cake, and gift bags were provided. Adults and kids alike had a blast! Ron was so amazing and entertaining. All our guests made comments of what a good idea it was and how much fun they had. Thank you for the best experience! I have no doubt we will return even just for legos! read more

WOW!! What a blessing! Our Youth Group (Ignite Community Church) had a team building event at SAPB today. Ron and his team went over and beyond to make our experience memorable. We started off at Sofia's Pizzeria a few shops down and Alan the owner was their To craft our delicious pizzas! Then we were told to head to SAPB and meet Ron and his team. Our group ( 6th grade-seniors/ plus adult leaders had such a great time! Ron made learning fun and engaging for all of us. Thank you read more

If I could give them a 10, I would! Went for our granddaughter's birthday party and it was, without a doubt, far and away ahead of ANY other birthday party I've been to - this was the best. All the kids had a great time and ALL the adults, too. Mr. Ron has this down - the activities involved everyone and we all had fun and learned some things, too. Highly recommend this place for parties - and the do parties for adult groups, too. They're moving to a space 3 times larger later in February, 2022, so wait until the new space. If you can't, though, you'll still have a great event! read more

We had my sons birthday with Ron and his team. A-MA-ZING!!! Ron is dynamic and engaging for children and adults alike. All details of the party were handled beautifully. All we had to do was show up and have a great time. Lots of cool stuff to see in his store too. read more

Fantastic service, knowledgeable, and friendly. They even have parties and after school/ school holiday clubs.

We had our son's first actual birthday party (he's 5) here today and it was such a great experience. Everyone joining together in such a fun and warm atmosphere was just incredible. Ron was so great with everyone, especially the kiddos. He made everyone feel so welcome. We brought our own cake, but they took care of everything else. Bonus points too, the birthday boy got to pick out his present there! Definitely will be going back. Thank you for such a great time! read more

San Antonio Plastic Bricks - Birthday boy having a blast! - Toy Stores Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

I found this place through Groupon, and we visited in the beginning of the Summer. The owner, Ron, was so welcoming and talked the the boys about every LEGO they picked up! He gave me a flyer for the upcoming summer camps and I signed the boys up for the Minecraft all day camp. When I came that day to pick them up after camp, Jaxon (my oldest) begged me to have his birthday party there. I signed him up right away. We had the party yesterday and it was so much fun. I continued to get text messages last night from people who attended telling me how unique and engaging the party was. Everyone is included in the fun- even the adults who were excited to play too! I am hoping my youngest wants his party here in December. read more

Great place, friendly owner, lots of cool stuff to look at! This is one of my boys' favorite places ever.

If planning a child's bday party and want to break out of the mold, you really have to give this a second look. Even if you have never picked up a Lego in your life, everyone will have a good time. This was the first child's party i have been to where the adults actually participated in the fun and games. Normally we stand around awkwardly watching the kids (and our watches). Not here. The owner acts as an MC of sorts: it's not intrusive, tedious or corny, I promise. Extremely entertaining. Lots of laughs. He even helps pass out the food. You will have a new appreciation of Legos after this. read more

This store is conveniently located on McCollough Ave. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the store but you have to walk all the way around to get to the front door, which is the only accessible door to the store. Inside, the store is full of LEGO sets and minifigures (the little plastic LEGO citizens). It's a child(and adult fan of LEGO's(AFOL) dream. They have old and new sets for sale with a bit of a markup. In the rear of the store is a meeting room where they can host birthday parties and LEGO camps for children. The room is nicely decorated with mosaics and a black Millenium Falcon from Star Wars. The store is a bit small and it feels cramped. I feel like I might bump into something and knock something down. They have a few models that were custom designed as well as peg board hooks of minifigures from just about every theme. You just may find that hard to find one you have been looking for here. Lastly, I'd like to point out the grab sandbox. They have a bunch of random pieces you can buy. Sort of like a fill up your own grab bag. This is a one of a kind LEGO store that isn't owned by LEGO, but their specialty is to sell you sets and figures that you missed. This is a family owned store and their job isn't to compete with the big boxed stores or with the LEGO store itself, but to mostly sell what's not available first. They will occasionally sell current sets(that may be previously been opened/built). read more

Can't wait to get holiday items here! Best selection and creative team building workshops! Thank

I had the opportunity to come here for the first time, not because I had a strong desire to play with legos, but because my son was invited to a birthday party. I'll admit, I wasn't thrilled to be spending my Saturday afternoon watching children play, however to my surprise, I ended up having a wonderful time! Ron is great with the kids and does a phenomenal job at getting the whole group involved. He even does adult gatherings and it's bring your own beverage! I look forward to spending more Saturdays here, next time I'll leave the kids at home so I can have more play time! read more

This place isn't just for kids. It is also a wonderful place for adults also. You'll find so many Authentic Lego's and the deals are out of this world. We went to this place yesterday as a couple of my friends raved about it. Our kiddos loved it and the owner actually took two dollars off as we are buying a set for one of the kiddos who earned it for good grades. We will definitely be back! read more

Awesome experience! The store owner, Ron, was very helpful and friendly. We also saw him be very kind to other children customers. The store's bulk bin had a ton of pieces, and if you couldn't find what you were looking for, they would bring out bins from the back room with pieces that were separated by shape. We really enjoyed spending time at the store and chatting with Ron. We'll definitely go back next time we're in the area. read more

What a great find! Mr. Ron was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and patient with me and my 4 year old son. This was my son's first real LEGO experience and he loved it! We can't wait to go back. Also a much more affordable way to buy Legos especially for a little one who is learning about them for the first time. I highly recommend this place and we will be returning soon! Thanks for all of your help Ron. You truly have a gift and I'm so glad you are sharing it with San Antonio! read more

An up and coming San Antonio landmark. Seriously one of the best little retail niche shops around. Ron and Jenn are great people. Always friendly and always so informative when it comes to all things Lego and others. This store is great for both the beginner or the avid collector, from young to old. I could easily spend a couple hours here and not get bored. Im a huge fan. If you havent been you absolutely need to visit. read more

We had a blast celebrating our son's 9th Birthday at SAPB! Everyone, parents alike, had amazing time building and laughing with Ron! Ron is the real deal, he has a genuine love of Legos and putting smiles on his customers' faces! Our son enjoyed his birthday and every parent who brought their kiddo could not get enough of the store and Ron's energy!!! Ron creates an environment where everyone builds Legos, but also learns about team work and that everyone's ideas are valid and useful! He truly cares about teaching kids that their voice matters and that their intelligence and imaginations are their greatest weapons. We would definitely recommend SAPB to all our friends and family and will be back!!! read more

The owner is the friendliest person I've ever met, extremely polite and trying very hard to have a positive impact on the city

Great little Lego store in the Olmos park area. They buy, sell and trade Legos. Today was our first trip in and Ron helped us.
