There is a public dock available just a couple hundred yards away from Tulip's. When we got there at about 11:30 on a Sunday the wait for a table was about 25 to 30 minutes. Plenty of room on the lawn out front to wait and even some outdoor games to play. We were called and seated at about 25 minutes; we had requested a table on the patio so my niece's dog could come along. Tulip's is located in a large Victorian house with a wrap around patio all overlooking the lake, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a summer brunch. Our server was great, friendly and helpful; orders are taken on a tablet and sent wirelessly to the kitchen. The menu has one side of breakfast items and the second side of lunch items. The food is slightly upscale without being overly fussy. There are some vegetarian items and others that can be made vegetarian by just leaving off the meat items. I ended up ordering the classic french toast, others at the table ordered sandwiches, corned beef hash, and omelets. Despite the restaurant being busy the food came out in about 10-15 minutes, all of the food being delivered by several servers; our server did check in to make sure that everything was delivered and that we were enjoying out food. Everyone enjoyed their food, portions were good, the food was well presented. My french toast was very good, carmalized on the outside custardy on the inside, slightly sweet and savory. It was presented with whipped butter and syrup. A nicely done classic and a great brunch. I would highly recommend Tulip's, a great place for breakfast and lunch. It seems like Chautauqua and Mayville have already figured it out and they are busy and doing well.

My wife had the French toast, which she had had the day before, her friend had eggs, toast, and bacon, and I had the brunch madame. Let me warn you, if you order this, you will be a bit surprised when it arrives at your table. It is massive. But beyond being massive, it was perfectly toasty and cheesy on top with layers of ham and Bechemel inside, and it sat in a pool of glistening hollandaise sauce. Our server, Misty, laughed when I told her that it should come with a disclaimer, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten for breakfast. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes and a perfectly soft poached egg nestled on top. To top it all off, the coffee was divine. Misty told us it was from Erie Street coffee and they sell it at the restaurant. Note that if you're going to go here, they close at 2:30. But it's definitely worth the trip and we will definitely be back.

Their matcha is not pre sweetened which I prefer! My husband was a fan of their Americano and went back twice on this trip for coffee. Plenty of seating inside but is a quaint space. Their cookies are soft and flavorful - very good! Others in our group ordered scones and raved about them. They have a wide variety of options in the case including half loaves of bread. We almost always stop in when we're in the area!

The girl working there was so friendly! I saw a lady at the counter with a custom lotus energy drink and just said "I'll take whatever she just had!" It was absolutely 100% AMAZING! While out biking with my cousin and uncle, we spotted the Scoop. Can't remember if it was here when…read morewe last visited accelerometers a couple years ago, but it looks new or at least updated. We decided to stop and check it out. It's a cute shed-shaped building with the unique characteristic of being a chalkboard! I haven't seen this at any other restaurant. The bottom half is coated in a chalk friendly blackboard paint, and sidewalk chalk sits on the counter allowing you to draw on the ground or even the ice cream shop while you wait. There is also a nice seating area off tot eh side with lights overhead. The hard ice cream is thankfully Perry's like many others in the region, but the flavor list isn't too long. However it does have some flavors I haven't seen at many other places, like Grasshopper Pie (which I got and love), pineapple orange, and peach! They also offer sundaes and drinks. Despite being off the main business road for Lakewood, I can see this being a popular spot due to its proximity to the new Chautauqua Harbor Hotel and Lucille Ball Park.
