scheduled a tile cleaning. the provider that showed up had a trainee with him. the lead person gave me a price and proceeded with the cleaning. I asked about cleaning a tile shower and was informed the do not clean tile showers. The person was argumentative and told me several times that someone had painted the grout in places which is not true. We had the tile installed 16 years ago and we live there and know the history of our tile. We had temoved most of the furniture prior to their arriva. I had one couch that I asked if the put some doem to perfect the feet from getting wet and he said no you don't need to wotry. After a they finished and left i realized several porcelain tiles are scratched from a wire brush the used. I would not use steamy consented again or recommend to anyone read more

Scam company. Didn't deliver a receipt. Up sale was a lie. Claimed to clean 3 extra rooms for an added 200 dollars and upon attempt to take them up on it, claimed it was only a small accident cleaning that was sold. Doesn't Care about Pets | 40 Minutes Late Our cleaner showed up 40 minutes late to the appointment. I immediately make it known that I need to make sure my cat is locked away so she doesn't run out while the doors are opened. Our cleaner acknowledged what I had said but started anyways, leaving the front door wide open despite not having any equipment running through it. I close it due to it not having a necessity to be open, then about 2 - 5 minutes later the door is wide open once again. I make it known AGAIN that I do not have my cat locked up and I need to put her away. But as he already started with loud equipment, she had run off to go hide. Thankfully I found her eventually, but the lack of care and consideration despite having full knowledge an animal was present and needed to be put away makes me not recommend this company in the slightest. read more

I was told by the person who came to do my carpets that Steamy Concepts would never return because I couldn't pay over $700 for a deep scrub. He said he'd report it and Steamy Concepts would refuse to come back. I'm a single mom with a sick child, and much of my money goes toward medical care. I explained I could only afford what I could, paying over $300 to clean them as best as possible. I felt completely judged and treated like a bad person just because I couldn't pay more. It was a terrible experience, and I won't be using their services again. Also, I will not be recommending their services to anyone. read more

We just had Steamy Concepts come out to shampoo 3 rooms- we took advantage of the pay for two rooms get one free. Immediately the gentleman that showed up for the service said that we would need a deep clean and that they also offer sanitation etc. I told him no thank you we were just wanting the shampoo that we scheduled with Matt. He told me that's not how it works. That they show up and "assess the rooms and then they tell me what I need" the quote went from $109.00 to $400-$799.00. We again said no thank you just a shampoo. The carpets just look wet after he was done- he said that because we didn't pay for the "special solution" or a rotary clean he wasn't able to get any of the spots up and that because we didn't pay for the extra products it doesn't look good and he would have preferred to not do it at all. I have a shampooer and do a better job by myself- I was thrilled to hire someone so I didn't have to do it and it was a waste of time and money. I do not recommend this company. They immediately try to up-charge/up-sell you and are aggressive when you decline. My husband stepped in and that's the only reason the upselling and telling me "We tell you what you need not the person who books your appointment off of a promotion." stopped. We were left with our carpets looking exactly how they did when he got there, only wet. read more

Hidden fees. They quoted a price for my drier vent cleaning. After the job was done, they added on $19 for an Environmental Service Fee. I have had my drier vent cleaned multiple times with other companies, and this extra fee has not been added. If this is a mandatory fee, it should be included in their quote, and not an after-the-fact hidden fee. This is unethical in my book. (Of which I told them this afterwards, and there was no response.) I am giving 2 stars as the booking process was pleasant and the guy showing up and doing the cleaning was friendly and seemed to do a nice job. read more

I'm very disappointed with Steamy Concepts. When I booked, I was quoted $150 for three rooms and $50 for pet cleaning, which seemed fair. But when the technician arrived, he told me the total would be $1,000. When I mentioned the original quote, he insisted that pet cleaning alone was $250. When we said we couldn't afford $1,000, he offered to "work with us" and dropped it to $750--still far above what we were quoted and what we could afford. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. We ended up asking what he could do for an area with some bad dog stains, and he quoted $189, which we agreed to. While he did clean that area, the experience of misleading pricing and sudden huge markups was extremely frustrating. If you value honest, upfront pricing, I would not recommend this company. read more

They might know how to clean a carpet, but I wouldn't know. They asked for a 4-hour (8:00 AM - Noon) morning window to show up and promised to call me within 30 minutes of arrival. After sitting around for hours, by 11:15, I hadn't heard from them. I called just to make sure that they were going to make it. The guy was pleasant and said he would check with the tech and call me right back. He did not. I waited 20 minutes and called back. Got another guy. H e put me on hold. He came back saying he spoke with the first guy (the one who didn't call me back as promised), who told him it would "Probably be about an hour." Annoyed, I told him I had been waiting for a call, and now they were "probably" going to show up in the middle of the lunch hour. I said that if they could make sure to come after 1:00, I could go have lunch and come back. He offered to put me in the afternoon window, 1 PM - 5 PM. I canceled. YMMV, but I will find someone else with better communication skills and respect for their customers' time. I have better things to do than sit around all day hoping someone shows up. UPDATE: I received a call from the owner, concerned about the problem. He was very genuinely apologetic and offered to come out right away, etc. I explained that I had already scheduled another cleaner, but I appreciated his follow-up. At no point during booking was I told there would be any extra fees or exclusions. But when the technician arrived, they claimed the price would actually be $300 because my tile had "texture" and it would be "more work." Nowhere on the coupon or during my phone conversation was this mentioned. It felt like a bait-and-switch, plain and simple. I refused the service and won't be using them in the future. I am completing this review for my Mom, who didn't want to download yet another app on her phone, but she forced me to write a review since she thoroughly appreciated the professionalism of this company. (YES... she really is calling me everyday until I complete this review and send her proof that I completed the review on her behalf! ) Steamy Concepts completed the cleaning of the carpets in a 2 bedroom townhouse in Sun City, in a professional and respectful manner. While only one bedroom had carpets, the living room and dining area were also carpeted. Daniel arrived to the appointment on time and the company sent a reminder text a few days prior to the appointment as well as another reminder the morning of the appointment. The reminder text also confirmed the address of the home. The cleaning of the carpets were efficient and the carpets looked better than when she moved into the home. She was provided a receipt via e-mail upon completion, as she needed this as proof as part of her move out checklist for the property manager. Two things that really stood out, was their patience and professionalism. They explained the process of their services very well to my Mom and it was appreciated. If you have a need to have your carpets cleaned, please consider using this business. Daniel was the serviceman that morning and he was extremely pleasant. A total 'bait & switch'.....they cannot clean your carpets for the price they quote, everything extra, I was expectingt $100 plus $15 environmental fee, tech gave me 3 options: $600 and going up to $1200 !! Customer service is always most important to me. Whomever answers the phone is really respectful and knowledgeable. The technician Ivan was really nice and efficient; you can tell it's a physically taxing job. Their prices are moderately steep and of course there's always the "extra packages" that they want you to upgrade to which makes you feel like the already $255 cleaning I was getting isn't going to be great- but my carpets were only 2 years old upstairs and in relatively good condition from a "no- shoes-in house-rule" so the basic cleaning was suffice and turned out nicely. Negotiate pricing with the technician onsite. In accurate and ridiculous pricing tactics for tile cleaning.... "rectangular tile costs more than square tile because it has more grout lines"... "well this is how everyone does it". Anticipated under $400 for services advertised... one option of price quote was over $1200. The technician who came out was awesome and did a great job. The cleaning was good and timely. That's not where the issue starts. After the tech left we noticed a snag in our carpet in our master bedroom. My wife called the company and a guy came out, he took pictures and then called his supervisor. The supervisor then called my wife and was rude, didn't listen to what my wife said, just kept talking over her and saying there is no way they did this damage. He kept saying "listen" "listen". He kept telling her we clean 80 caprets a day and if our machines do this we'd be out of business. You know what every once in awhile something gets messed up. We get it just take ownership. This is not a company I would recommend EVER to anyone. We've had our carpets cleaned before and never had an issue. Inconsiderate of customers time and unreliable .... We had a 4 hour window, 8-12pm waited and waited and no one called to tell us the employee went home sick AFTER he tried to get us to cancel. We had steamy concepts out to clean our dryer vent. After the "cleaned " it the dryer wasn't drying clothes or producing lint. Had them come out again and the problem still exists. I called another company and they are using a camera to check the duct. They found huge amount of lint causing the problem. They said it looks like. 10 years accumulation. This company is a joke. He made that tedious task look easy! He sanitized and scrubbed the grout, and scrubbed some old stains off the white tile .. I called on the $99 special, along with $15 dollars a linear foot on upholstery. Technician came, and said that extra products were needed, and quoted me up to $1500, with the minimum quote being $800, where I was expecting to pay maybe $350 with the sofas. Absolute bait and switch, telling me he couldn't use their "normal" products on my carpet. Apparently dog pee triples the cost of carpet cleaning, and white couches means nearly double the cost per linear foot. I ultimately had to, since were having guests, but didn't get the upholstery done. I absolutely will not be using this place again. Mr. Tyron cleaned the carpets at the business I previously worked for and he got it done fast. Everything looked great! This company can remove those premature dates from palm trees. I had 2 other quotes and each one looked at it and told me right away that i was looking at permanent damage but not for Steamy Concepts! The only thing that could slightly seen (only if you was really trying to look for it) was WD40 that got on the carpet from a squeaking office chair and then a rust spot from a filing cabinet foot. I was really impressed and then we also got a microseal option that works better than any scotch guard. I believe through my own research that this was the only company that offered the microseal. Again, one of my worst experiences with the company. My initial quote from the technician was reasonable booked for the following Saturday Saturday. The technician came in and acted like he did not want to work. He then tried to quote me, which I have read from the previous reviews, the same amount $1200 seems to be the going rip off rate he said there's a sealant that it would have to be stripped which there's no sealant. I actually went to Home Depot purchase cleaning products cleaned my whole floor myself for $140 the shine is gone. The shine is from Windex. Wow is an understatement! Oscar was our technician and he did such an amazing job! He was honest and upfront about what we should get and understood our budget without fighting us on it. I will only use him going forward with my carpet cleaning needs. We have three animals, and animals make mistakes, so we got the 25 dollar extra pet treatment. He did warn us it was going to smell when the steam hit it but the smell has almost completely vanished a little over 12 hours later. So just be prepared for that! This is the 2nd time I have used Steamy Concepts. I used another carpet company for 30 + years. I had foot surgery and they put iodine on the area that was operated on. Even though I wore a leg type sleeve to keep water out while I took a shower the iodine came through the sleeve. I walked on my beige carpet before I realized what had happened. The iodine soaked into the beige carpet. I had the other carpet company come and try to get the stain out. You could still see the area was not clean. Called up Steamy Concepts late in the day after we got keys to our new home. Realized late that the prior owners hadn't left things up to our standards, and we needed a quick carpet shampoo before bringing our furniture in. After a quick hold, the gentleman in the office let me know they could have someone there first thing the next morning. Woke up and went over to the property, and Dion showed up with a smile ready to help out with the situation. Within about 45 minutes, he'd taken care of 4 bedrooms and the hallways, and it looked great! Turned the fans on and it was dry by the time we got back that afternoon.
