Prime time for the lunch rush. My golden rule? You have to nail the classic cheese first. If the foundation isn't right, nothing else matters. I grabbed a cheese slice and a stunning Grandma slice, making sure to ask for them "well-done." They nailed the bake. The cheese slice was thin and authentic, transportive enough to make me feel like I was in Italy rather than my cold car. With a perfect "crunch-to-soft" ratio, MOEZ earns a hard 4.5/5.

Staff was quite friendly on pick-up. I ordered a basic pepperoni pizza, basically my "yardstick" for a new pizza shop experience. The pizza was good and has a "New York" style crust that serves well for folding a slice. Sauce and cheese were tasty but not especially noteworthy. But hey, I don't want to be snooty about a neighborhood pizza shop. I'd certainly consider Ciervo's again AND the shop interior looked spotlessly clean in the short time I was inside. Definitely recommend for a basic pizza stop.

This is a rectangular pie with three slices of each. The price seemed a little steep, but it's pretty common these days to pay $15 a person for a meal. The counter man informed us it would be 30 minutes. I appreciated the head-up, but we had no where to go...and it meant the pizza was being made fresh! It was actually done in about 20 minutes. Gorgeous to look at, and loaded down with toppings. There was no skimping here. The edges of the pie were crispy without being crunchy, and the dough underneath was soft but still could stand up to the weight of the toppings. Somewhat reminiscent of a Detroit-style pizza, but leaner and, IMO, tastier. We are half the pie, trying each type and packed the rest for home. I expect it will reheat well. Total with drinks was around $30. You could feed a family of four on this pie. Excellent!
