I had a cheese steak with raw onions, mayo and hot peppers and my boyfriend had the infamous buffalo chicken cheese steak. We both agreed both were very good and I liked how they used red onions instead of white but it was too dry and didn't have much cheese. Went to you Buana location friday the 30th of Jan. Heart set on prime rib. Told if I wanted special price had to wait till 4 pm to receive.worst I have ever had dry an reheated. Said something about it to bar maid said I did not know what I was talking about.and then became rude at that point I left paid for 3 bites. Manager was there never speaking a word regarding the meal. Extremely overpriced, mediocre fare. We had 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks for $30. Sandwiches are big but come with no sides. I had a cheeseburger which was a preformed frozen patty with only cheese. I've been eating here for years since it first opened in their little shack days. The best cheese steaks around the tri-state area! Why bother driving to Philly when the best is right here. Their steaks and also much larger than you will ever get from the big Philly names. Never greasy steaks like some competitors. I always order Wiz-wit and 100% satisfied every single time. Almost always get a pizza slice while I'm waiting, which is also good, but I'm there for the CS. Through the years, I've tried so many different cheese steaks in NJ, PA, DE, NY and other states and haven't found anyone that beats Steak Out. I found one about 10 years ago that was close in Newark, DE when I lived in that area, but after they sold their business about 6 years ago, it's never been the same. Service is always fast and friendly. This new (not really new now) location is so much better than the original, and yet they have been able to maintain their quality since day one. I had been told by a couple friends this place is great. Well I went there yesterday for lunch with a friend. The cheesesteak had almost no cheese on it, plus I couldn't taste a hint of salt and pepper. After getting our sandwiches, we were told to grab our chips. My friend got fries, which were limp and soggy. The most stand out thing was watching, I assume, was the manager talking to a guy about the help wanted sign. I felt horrible for that guy trying to get a job, the manager loudly asked several times if he was on drugs. If he didn't want the guy to work there, I'm sure he could've been nicer. It's probably my least favorite shop around. There is no delivery and that just makes things hard. The steaks a large, but not tender, and almost TOO large. Too much meat no cheese, and I ask for "extra, extra" cheese on mine. The pizza is ok, and the fries are good, but overall there are better places in the area. The parking lot is shared with chick-fil-a, lowes, dollar tree, pets mart, and a nail salon, it has one way in and one way out, it gets very busy, so just be careful pulling in and out. read more

Not sure what all the hype is about with this place. While large, their cheesesteaks are tasteless and they give you almost no cheese. It's pretty much a steak sandwich. Their pizza is good from what I remember, but meals like their chicken strips have no breaking and are tasteless strips of grilled chicken. We've been here a couple of times after swim meets at GCIT. The kids love it. Even the parents we've introduced have been impressed compared to what we get in CC Philly. After reading some awesome reviews for "Steak Out" we decided to live dangerously and give it a try. AMAZING! It's pretty tough to hit the cheesesteak trifecta...great roll, double spatula chopped style beef, and just the right amount of cheese. Well, they hit them all. Our rolls were soft but not too bready. When we heard that familiar chopping sound in the kitchen, we knew the steak would be awesome. It was amazing, juicy without dripping down our faces or soggy-ing up our rolls and just the right amount of cheese. What I assume was the owner rang us up, he was so nice!!! In fact our experience today is what made me want to write my first reviews on Yelp because everyone should go there!!! The owner mentioned they had been around for 30 years (this is their new location). How have we been missing this??? We will definitely be back. Even our fries were awesome, crispy and perfectly salted. We loved the decor, we just loved everything. Definitely a gem that everyone should experience! I placed my first order with Steak out tonight. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and it was phenomenal. I used to always get a similar salad in Philly and this salad was so similar. I was shocked. It was fresh and they gave a ton of food. The people working inside were really nice too. The only thing I didn't like seeing was one of the women working was smoking a cigarette inside (even though they kept the front door open). This spot has always been my "go-to" for hoagies. Unfortunately today (12/21/20) our order was very disappointing. I ordered three hoagies for my family that drove 2+ hours to be with us during the holidays (first time since COVID) and the food was not what we expected. We ordered two Turkey and Swiss hoagies. When the order was picked up and eaten we found that it was HONEY turkey, and extremely sweet. My family was not able to eat this order and so I called to explain, and Steak Out said this was always the same turkey they have always had and would not issue a credit. They said to bring the sandwiches back for a replacement. This was not possible as Steak Out was 20 minutes away from my house (I already drove 20 minutes there and back) and our guests were very hungry after a long drive. I just spent $80 for nothing, and had to spend $80 more at another restaurant due to time constraints. If Steak Out could have issued a credit for another visit I would have been happy... but they wasted over $160, and three hours of my day. Normally when ordering a turkey and cheese hoagie you would not expect a sweet variety, and I would think they should let the consumer know. I would not order from them again, their customer service is very cold and unfriendly. read more
