Visit this steak n shake often. Great food great customer service always friendly. The food always comes just as ordered the shakes are great and the prices awesome. For a quick Hot and filling meal I always get the double burger with fries and cheese sauce on the side. And of course a milkshake it can't be beat for the price. As with most steak n shakes being as they're open 24 hours a day the dining area could use a deep clean but that just may be part of the ambience/ diner theme. read more

Hate to beat a dead horse.. Slow service. It's annoying to watch twenty cars go through the drive thru while I wait for a simple burger and fries. I understand the need for fast service for the drive thru but not at the expense of a lobby diner. Too many restaurants in the plaza to choose from that have better service. read more

Excellent for what seems like a fast food place with waitresses, which I found odd but okay. I thought everything tasted great and what great prices. I love the thin fries!! I'm not much of a shake person but wish I was because they look wonderful. Worst thing was trying to decide which burger to try!! Definitely will be back when I crave a burger and fries!! I went to this location last night because they have a pretty good deal for breakfast after 12:00. I have been to this location many times as it is close by my home. The small staff (overnight staff) was helpful as always and pleasant. there were no customers at 3:00 a.m. just a number of teenagers who apparently were friends of the staff as they sat around and talked ( no food) for my entire visit. I had no problem with this as it was late at night and they were not loud at all. I sat at the counter as I like to watch my food being cooked. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the grills were. I understand that the grills stay on 24 hours a day but there is no excuse for not keeping them clean. I ordered the pancakes and they were cooked on top of a greasy, dirty flat top with bits of old hamburgers. They tasted like pancakes with over cooked and burnt hamburger meat. As a matter of fact they had some old hamburger bits in them and they became very difficult to eat. I looked around and was shocked at how dirty the floor was with hamburger buns under the equipment, food on the floor and generally unsweept. I can only imagine was the rest of the kitchen area looks like. If I were the owner, I would be trying to not have my head explode. I can't even give this a rating other than 1 and that is even a stretch. read more

6p on Wednesday 10/29/14. Went through the drive thru and was impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of the order taker. Pulled up to the window and the woman was smiling and not the normal take your money and send you on your way type, but actually read our order back and was very polite and checked to make sure the order was correct before handing it to us. Took the food home and everything was there. The burgers were spot on and the chili was piping hot. Funny to say, but this is the best experience I have had at a Steak and Shake, or any fast food restaurant for that matter. From start to finish, they were on during this visit. Thanks! read more

So I went into this Steak 'n Shake location yesterday for dinner with my son and daughter and I just wanted to tell everyone how great of a time we had. First off we walked right in and we were greeted by the friendliest smile and welcome from Wayland who seemed to be very busy but he took the time to seat us right away, not even 2 minutes had passed before we were greeted by our server Collin, this young man was full of life and brought a smile to our faces just by his presence and energy. He was great with my children and very patient. He had an answer for every question we had asked about the menu. Our food came out relatively quick and was absolutely delicious. This is not just a fast food establishment. This is a well ran business with great employees who work so well together. 5 out 5 stars and I will be returning here frequently! read more

God awful. Waited 3-5 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. Waited 10 more minutes to place my order, had to ask a manager if someone was going to take my order. Ordered Royale SB with fries, she came back 2 minutes later and asked if I wanted hash browns??? Food showed up, fries were cold, burger warm but not hot. Server says "oh, you need napkins and utensils, I'll get those" as she set down the plate... She NEVER came back! As in EVER. Didn't see her the rest of the visit! Had to get up and go to the restroom to wash my hands because I had no way to wipe them off. Restroom was disgustingly filthy, smelled like it had been cleaned with urine. I left a .54 tip because I didn't want to wait for change. I asked for a manager, she came out and offered to pay for my meal. I should have taken her up on it but I declined, told her she needs to attend to the place ASAP and that I would definitely not be back. I did not get the impression she had real control of the place so I doubt she can. Stay away from this dump. read more

Alright so we decided to try their breakfast. Big surprise. They nailed it. I got the sausage eggs and cheese tacos. Very good. I wanted to get a burrito but they didn't have any that I seen. The tacos made up for it. Almost authentic tacos. Only thing that would have mad them better would have been some salsa. The wife got their breakfast bowl. The prices were very reasonable and food was really hot. We went thru the drive thru and didn't really have much of a wait. We will be sure to stop again. read more

I went threw the drive thru last night and everything was wrong with my order, the shake I ordered didn't taste right or good, Steak 'n Shake changed their chilly on the menu ever since they got the 4 for 4, ( that's the main reason why I go there) the crackers they put into little cups now which is not sanitary. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We arrived and sat down, but we were waiting on a friend to eat. Ordered our drinks and told the waitress to wait until our friend arrived. We talked and all of the sudden my gf tells me to look up on the corner of a window, I looked up just too see the window dripping of termites! Very sad how cheap this store seems only order 2 items and have to wait over 3 minutes just to get the price of my order because you have 1 person working register and cooking food. I used to like this Steak 'n Shake, but we went today and it was very disappointing. First, the place is FILTHY (floors, booth, seats, chairs,women's bathroom).Both of us got our food on plates that had crusty mustard on them. Server said it was from when they put the mustard on the burgers, but this was dried (hard) mustard. Food was good, but the place was just too dirty. They still had a good crowd, so maybe the other people didn't pay attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant like we did. I'm glad I didn't see the inside of the kitchen or beverage area. I've noticed that it's hard to get your server back to the table once they've put the check down too. Deep clean, please! read more

I probably won't ever go here again. After telling the lady I didn't want onions on my sand-which, I waited 10-12 mins in the drive thru, note I was the only person in the drive thru at the time, then a line began to form of cars behind me. I get my sandwich drive 15 mins home open up my sandwich and there's little chopped up onion all over the inside ruining my whole sandwich, note again I tried to call them and make a complaint. No complaints on the food...It's always up to par....However the manager Stacy at the location we were at was rude, A gentleman walked in the same time as us and sat at the bar while my husband and I were seated at a both. Other patrons came in after us and were served within a timely fashion. We waited 20 min before any one even thought to ask us if we wanted water let alone ready to order. the man at the bar waited 30-35 min..when he asked for a manager she was loud and rude, embarrassing him the patron. He walked out. We however ended up ordering and stayed for our meal. So dis appointed in service. And there were many servers, just no service.....with so many places to choose from to eat in the area we were in, next time we will choose more wisely. read more

This place is a nightmare. We went inside to place an order. It took the girl behind the counter a while to get it right with the coupons adn then she ran away quickly to take her break. The five of us waited by the front of the counter. The Hostess even came over and asked if we were waiting for a table. We said no. No one behind the counter was working, they were just standing around. Finally, after 15 minutes someone from the back came up and gave us out shakes and said to have a good day. We waited a couple of minutes more and still no food. No one ever even looked our way. I finally yelled to the workers, who were ignoring me, that I did not get my food yet. One came up and said they would see what was happening. After a few minutes they said the food was coming. They brought out some of the order, but the onion rings were missing. Someone went to make onion rings. The Hostess came over to tell us that we probably wanted to ask for new shakes since ours were melted from waiting so long. We asked for new shakes and got an attitude from Manager Derek Moretti. He had an attitude about it, but yelled to the crew to make 5 new shakes right away. Not one person in the crew helped him and he went to make them himself. The onion rings come out to us, but they are cold because they have been sitting around. Now all the food is cold. It's another 10 minutes before the shakes are made and the manager actually hid from us while he made them. After 35 minutes of waiting, we had enough. We asked for our money back and he had the nerve to ask why. When we said now our food was cold because it took so long to remake the shakes, he said the WE asked for the shakes to be remade. We said that we had to have the shakes remade because they melted because it took so long to make our order. He didn't want to give us the money back. We yelled that we better get our money back and he said he would call the sheriff. We said to go ahead, that he stole from us because we paid but did not get served. He told us to SHUT UP! Never in my life has a manager ever said that to me when I complained. He also started criticizing my parenting skills saying that I was setting a bad example in front of my kids. I said that I was teaching them to advocate for themselves and not be taken advantage of. He could not figure out how to give us our money back, so he just reaches in and grabs $40 and hands it to us. Another manager Michael was standing next to him just shaking his head and mouthing to him to be quiet. Derek Moretti is a rude and incompetent manager and it is evident in the way he runs his store. As for us, we went to McDonald's and were welcomed with a smile and had a delicious meal. Never again, Steak and Shake!!! Shame on you!!! read more
