This is a fantastic and creative food spot! A stranger recommended this spot when we were in the area looking for a spot to grab a late lunch. The blueberry Sangria was delicious. The addition of whole blueberries in the glass was a nice touch. The chips and guac were good as were the tacos. I appreciate that the corn tortillas came in sets of two. We sat at the bar on a Friday night around 9pm and it was surprisingly very empty. Food: disclaimer, we only came for drinks and dessert. - Yuengling on tap: 8/10 can never go wrong with Asian beer - Seasonal gingerbread churros: 8/10 churros were delish but I wish they served it with icecream instead of cream cheese (it was good, but didnt need to be icecream glop sized) - GF pecan brownie: 6.5/10 more like fudge than brownie, or undercooked brownie? Not complaining! But definitely very rich. No pecan taste. Would return to try apps and entrees! Haven't been here for years and was expecting it to be just as good as I last remembered it. Came here for a taco Tuesday, which they have great deals on their tacos and margs. A little disappointed on their margaritas as it tasted like it was pre-batched and not fresh. Service was good for a busy Tuesday taco night. Started with the chips and salsa, and the first batch of the chips were super oily and soggy. We had to get a new batch which there were still some super oily pieces. I love this place and on Thursdays they do two dollars off their burritos. I love their steak burrito. They have good tacos. Every time I go. Their service is always good. They have outside seating as well. You could bring your dog out there. I've had a spicy watermelon margarita that was phenomenal there. This was our second visit to Zim Zari. The first time we were there, they said they had numerous new types of tacos. Apparently this made some of the times difficult to anticipate, and some of our tacos came out cold. Many places would have simply apologized and not even really paid attention. Not so here. The Manager, Lindsay, was very kind and sent us a coupon to come back. On this visit (4/22/25,) not only was everything right - everything was PERFECT. We are not known for being easy customers (the boys are particularly finicky about their preferences,) but our server, Julia, took down all their orders and made the night amazing. The ambiance is very Californication, with a hip surfer vibe and busy atmosphere. The menu is broad, with immediate favorites like Mongolian beef tacos, as well as surprisingly delicious original options, like the Mexican Street Corn DIP. I was skeptical about that type of twist on a very popular dish, but they pulled it off flawlessly. Its clean, convenient and based on the crowd, an obvious local favorite. This is a top-notch option for couples, families and as a neighborhood hangout. It's aggressively priced (dinner for five was only $90!) and obviously uses premium ingredients. Great local spot in this shopping center! Enjoyed a quick lunch that was light but still left me feeling good. The Buffalo eggrolls I wish could've been more filling and seasoned better. The margaritas were super watered down, tasted very juicy and I could barely taste the tequila. The wok'd bowl was pretty tasty and seasoned well and the burrito was a nice touch as well. I just love everything about this place. The service, the food, the atmosphere, the beer. The quality hasn't diminished since my last visit many years ago. It's not really that expensive either. Lexi B was quick to arrive to take our drink and appetizer orders. The southwest egg roll was tasty. It came with a delicious ranch dipping sauce. The shrimp taco was very tasty, the fish taco had only a small fish stick size piece of fish, but good flavor. The surf and turf good flavor but needs some type of aolie, I wish I had kept the ranch from the appetizer. The chicken tinga taco was delicious. Love to go to Zim UNTIL NOW!! Have been going for years at least 1-2 time a month . About 6 months months ago they tried to change the menus and sent out samples of the new menu and asked the consumer (I am on the email list so I was one) what they thought of the changes, and I guess it didn't go over well because they did not change it. Fast forward to today 1-10-26 (one week I guess after they changed there menu)we went to eat there and when we arrived they said it would be 15-20 mins and the bar area tables were not open seating anymore. But there were 9 table and booths open in the restaurant of 30 total tables and booths. We only need 2 seats there were 2-4 tops in the bar area open and at least 7 seats at the bar. Then we ordered food and noticed the two tables beside us were complaining about their food or service. So when our food came out ...... well guess what our food was different then what we had ordered because the menus had changed my Mongolian beef tacos now had broccoli on them ( after the same taco for 5 years they now add broccoli). And my wife her taco salad did not have the chicken on it and the shell bowl was burnt to a crisp ( I had noticed the 2 people at the bars salads were the same burnt as well. The first manager came out and started off nice and then got snippy with me about things change and that's what change is. She then went and got the GM and he said looks like I was mad and couldn't change anything but he could make my tacos over without the broccoli but they had made changes to the menu. Also now I guess you get 2 tacos and no side with them for the same price 2 tacos and a side. And burnt salad tortilla bowls without chicken. The manager said the he was there since June (6 months ago when they wanted to change the menu) and that's when all the changes seemed to start to turn this restaurant upside down and are now alienating its regular clientele by changing the menu. Don't know what happened to the old manager but this new one is changing everything for the worst!! read more

Consider this one a must-try! Food was all very good. We tried the buffalo chicken eggrolls (2 full eggrolls, cut in half) which we really liked and they came out quickly. Next, we tried several tacos since it happened to be Taco Tuesday and we could try several kinds a la carte. My husband tried to Mongolian beef ,Jerk chicken and Surf and Turf. He LOVED the Mongolian beef, enjoyed the jerk chicken, and felt that the surf and turf was good but could be better if it had a sauce of some sort (I had this one too and agreed with him). In addition to those, I tried the Bacon Cheeseburger and Chicken tinga tacos and really enjoyed them both. Dessert was on another level though. We had the seasonal somoa churros which were crazy good. My husband also had the butterscotch creme brulee and loved that too. Our server and hostess was great, no issues at all there. They inquired about whether or not we had eaten there before and since we hadn't, a manager stopped by to ask about our experience, which we always appreciate. The ambiance was cool and my husband and I both commented that it had a really cool vibe inside. Very similar to Craft Street Kitchen (we learned that this restaurant is owned by the same people) which we have visited before and always really enjoy. They also mentioned that a new restaurant will be opening soon called Agave Social and we plan to try that one too. We will definitely be returning. We were very happy with the overall experience and the menu had lots of options that we're excited to try next time.
