Food is always fresh and hot!! The new Beef Tallow is amazing and makes everything taste better!!! Store was clean! Still have to order from a kiosk which can be difficult for some.... Plus this Scan your Barcode to get your drink and refills is probably one of the most ridiculous things I have encountered. I miss the good Cherry Syrup for a Cherry Coke. But still a good Burger and Fries!!! read more

I always order in app. and I always wait for at least 10 minutes no matter how far in advance I order. Now keep in mind I order when I leave Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, which is 15 minutes away from this location, but that is irrelevant since this location has a tendency to wait for multiple orders to be prepared before passing out orders. I still stop here weekly since its still delicious. read more

Steak ’n Shake - Fast Food Near Me - St. Louis, Missouri

I placed a simple order at this Steak 'n Shake location: cheese sauce, fries, chili, a Sprite, and a garlic double burger combo with honey mustard. The order was incorrect -- the cheese sauce, one of the easiest items on the menu, was missing entirely. This was very disappointing. The customer service experience was also unsatisfactory. After calling my name over the loudspeaker, the staff member set the bag on the counter and walked away before I even reached the counter. There was no acknowledgment, no greeting, and no "thank you." To make matters worse, the receipt was placed inside the bag, so I had to dig through the food just to confirm the order was actually mine. Overall, the interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and careless. Please address these issues with the staff at this location to ensure better service and order accuracy moving forward. read more

I had been craving a Frisco melt for some time and knew I had to stop in and get one from Steak 'n Shake. The food is always good! The only service I really experienced was from the employees who called my name to let me know my food was ready. It is a self-serve ordering station. It was clean, but the layout has changed since I was in a Steak 'n Shake last. It's much more modern in decor and color choices, rather than a retro diner aesthetic. My only issue was with the corporation rather than with the individual workers. You are only allowed one refill per drink. It likely saves money, but it is still a bit irritating as a consumer. read more

Tastes good but if you are gonna only offer one size maybe full it up all the way? And

Looks like Steak n' Shake has moved to a kiosk ordering fast casual model. I was craving Sn'S because most in STL area are closed. I think this self serve model works. Food came out quickly (in fact faster than the waitress/waiter model) and tasted just as good as always. I would return to this location for sure. read more

Really good prices. Hard to beat a DOUBLE cheeseburger MEAL for $3.99. The taste of their Steakburger is umami and distinctly char-like. Like Culver's : o } Not wild about the fries: too thin- I guess you either love 'em or ya' hate 'em. Funny, the same applies to Steak 'n Shake Service. read more

Did an order here through the app and the order came quickly but was completely wrong, having toppings I didn't want on my burger and toppings I did want missing from my burger. I called to complain and when the lady who answered said she was the mgr was told what had happened, she said I must have ordered it wrong.... When I used my saved favorite order. I asked for her mgr and she refused to give me his # and refused to issue a refund. DO NOT EAT HERE. Terrible customer service all around. read more

This Steak 'n Shake never misses. Workers are always super friendly & the food is always fresh and quick. I usually never run into a line at this location either. read more

We have only been in the area a couple of years. This location struggled but the last two visits they are on their game and history of delicious food continues. So happy we struggled with you. Thank You read more

Paper straws!? Get outta here. Hippies. Lol... But for real stop it. Also why sell a seasoning salt if you don't even use it or offer it to your guests. Just weird. Oh and do I have to beg for ketchup? Food was hot but had to get up to ask for my onions. I know I ordered them because I had to order it myself with the kiosk. Self checkout is everywhere. Ugh... read more

Who doesn't love steak and shake? Right? However, at this location they have the greasiest floors I've ever came across. Like ice skating! Lol! clean it up guys. Cmon. read more

I've been here twice. The first time I walked in and was very rudely informed I couldn't order in the restaurant. I get that covid is serious, and frankly I applaud Steak 'n Shake taking this seriously, but there are nice ways to tell people the rules and ways that are dickhead. I received the latter. Today I went back, having preordered, and stood there for more than 5 minutes before my presence was recognized. During that time 5 people we're working directly in front of me. Eventually the grillman stopped what he was doing to help me. Give that man a raise and fire the manager. read more

This is the SLOWEST Steak n Shake! Unfortunately it's the closest one to me. Every single time it takes 30-45 minutes in the drive-thru. I have ordered ahead and I always have to go in and then wait at least 20 mins after it's supposed to be ready!!! read more

Went here for a TON of food because I'm pregnant and all the baby wants are only things they can provide. I expected horrible customer service and for there to be long lines since almost every location is shut down but NO. I went through the drive thru and was helped by the most patient worker. She double checked our entire order to make sure we had everything we paid $25 for. Everything was there and nothing was missing or poorly made. We enjoyed our feast of a meal and everything tasted absolutely amazin read more

Again very slow... I have been sitting in the drive through line for 35 minutes and still have 2 cars to go to get to the pick up window... This is the worst by far... service received here and still the order is wrong and no apology....sad...sad...sad read more

Wow talk about a messed up order. Wrong burger, missing burger, no cheese for fries, no ramano cheese for chili, chili so watered down it's a thin soup. But we got a plethora of ketchup, we didn't ask for. Last visit to this place. read more

Horrible service. I wanted lettuce and tomatoes on my Frisco melt and they repeated it back to me. But when I got home, it was not on there.

Not a bad place. The family enjoys it. The food normally takes awhile to get though.

This is seriously the best steak and shake that I know of. My husband and I have always been very happy with all of our orders. It has the best 3-way chili compared to the other restaurants we've been too. We normally go through the drive-thru but sitting in is just as good. I definitely recommend this steak and shake! read more

I'm not a huge fan of Steak n Shake but when you need a good dessert this is the place to go. We went after a Blues game, which is what we tend to do here since they are open all night and got some shakes to celebrate the win. Very yummy! We have this location and another close to us and we choose this one because its cleaner, bigger and the service is better. read more

The price was good. Milkshakes are excellent and the hamburgers are greasy. Having said that it is a good meal at a good price. Not excellent but good. Servers were good even though the restaurant was busy. Service was slow but food was hot when it came out. i would eat here again. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would! This is by far the worst restaurant I've ever been to in my life! The service is horrible!!! Dirty tables, rude servers, long wait while restaurant is dead... the list goes on! I blame management 100%!! I work for a cooperate restaurant and I honestly never complain! But in this case, I can't help it. I will never ever ever return. read more

Waited in the drive thru for a whole hour. No apology was given and our food was cold. No refund was offered. Complete shit.

Five stars for fastfood is unheard of, I know. But this was literally a perfect experience. Got a Steakburger and a Biscuit sandwich, both were served hot, freshly cooked and delicious. Service was polite and professional. This store could be a model for the whole industry. read more

Simply AWFUL service. When we were sat down, we waited over ten minutes for our waiter. Milk shakes took forever to come to us too. In 30 minutes of sitting all we got were our waters. This is not the first time this place has been this slow, they seem to take their time and not be in any rush to help any customers. My wife said, "It has been a long time since we been here", the crappy service is the reason why!!!!! read more

This Steak and Shake is by far, the best in the area. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is always served hot and the orders are correct. Many of the others never come back to refill the beverage; this one does. They have one special waiter named JAX who is just terrific. He is so friendly and polite. He makes my day and I am always glad that I stopped to eat at Steak and Shake when he is my waiter. read more

Ehh-- Its Steak n' Shake--- what really is there more to say? My 5 year old son had chosen Steak N Shake for his dinner of choice since I was going to be dragging him around Walmart for a few items.. We walked in and were immediately seated- My son was given a "toy" and the waitress gave him a couple extra things of stickers. Our waitress was very attentive, and nice, and even though it took a while for his banana shake to come out- everything was very good...and our total bill was under $10--- We cant even go to McDonalds without our bill being under $10- I just ordered a simple double cheeseburger with fries and he ordered the mini corndogs with applesauce. She had brought the applesauce out first since his shake hadnt come out- and for that I was appreciative- she also brought him a to-go cup for his shake--- I dont know, i really dont like to write reviews on places like this- but my experience was enjoyable- and thought i would share :) I always appreciate good service, and good food of course! read more
