My empty hand lacking my sandwich.

Just the thing I want after working all week is for them to forget my sandwich. Very irritating. The window person spent a whole 2 minutes looking in the bag to see if I had everything obviously didn't know how to count to 4. I bought dinner for my whole family but didn't get the one single thing I wanted. Thanks.

They used to say, "where's the beef", now we all ask..."where's the help"?

It's sad to see iconic restaurants like Steak & Shake become just like a Burger King. We tried this reopened store and they no longer have wait staff. Gone are the China plates and bowls. Gone are the large glass CocaCola glasses. Now you order at computer kiosk (I hate these!). Then your order is brought to counter or your table. Self service on drinks. A good waitress or waiter could make decent money on tips in the day. Sorry but I'm not a fan of the current times where workers make more staying home drawing check. Ehhh. Steak & Shake no longer right, when no workers are in sight. Food just so, so. Sad!

The staff was very pleasant, and they came up the kiosk to talk to everyone that was putting an order in.

The French onion soup was amazing! As close as I recall the original Famous Barr restaurant soup was years ago. The salad was ok. Don't know why they chose to purée the butternut squash after roasting it, but that I think would've been better having the roasted bite with the beats. But the southern fried chicken sandwich was delicious. Highly recommend. And the Service was great.

The server was very knowledgeable about all things on the menu presented us with the off menu specials for the night information over everything offered with it. It was wonderful. The chicken was prepared nicely. It was grilled it was delicious. I was expecting maybe a little bit more flavor to the chicken which could've helped with the pasta, but the pasta was very bland. Other than that, I loved everything and I will be back to try other things on the menu

However, there are some standard issues. Service is spotty at best often leaning toward flat out rude. The side salad is awful, but the cessation delicious. The potato soup is terrible and flavorless and there have been few times this has not been the case. Today however, I ordered my usual and genuinely enjoyed it. My dining partner ordered a BLT and potato soup. The person who dropped off the food was flat out rude and didn't want to be bothered. Our waiter, John S was terrible. It was brought to his attention that the soup was ice cold and the BLT was on toasted bread when specifically it had been requested that it not be. It took less than two minutes for him to "fix" it which meant nuking the soup and loading it with cheese which hadn't been in the original bowl and it had too much cheese and as always was gross. The BLT he took the top bread off and replaced the top with non toasted bread and left the bottom toasted. It was not made correctly and he knew it. An entire bowl of soup was left and not once did he ask if we'd like to take it to go, or offer drink refills. He was terrible! The ambience of the place is always nice but the greeters are equally unfriendly on most occasions. It's a shame because their main menu of steaks is delicious but I don't go as often as I used to because staff does not know how to perform even mildly courteous customer service. This visit was substandard in many ways and we left very unhappy with the service received and one person still hungry. For a nice restaurant that charges what they do, I would think they would want to perform better.

He made sure we were well taken care of the whole time. Despite this being in essentially a rich persons strip mall the ambience inside was wonderful. Beautiful decor, wonderful atmosphere. The food was very very good. Love farm to table and this place delivers that with elegance. I highly recommend this place for a nice night out. The prices reflect the quality you get. The 38$ pork chop I ordered was excellent and a lot of food! They handled a group of 12 very well. And from experience I know not a lot of places can pull it off but this place did with grace. I was looking to "book" a private dining room in a restaurant that I thought might be good. I called Prasino's, but couldn't speak with anyone because their Customer Service is geared to choosing numbers on my phone keypad. Okay, I followed the rules-- left my name and contact information and sat back to wait for a call. It has now been over 48 hours and there has been no call; no message. I've now booked with another local restaurant. A place that has humans who will speak with a person when he or she calls. I suppose they must have all the business they need? Mu business would have only provided between 5 and $10,000 but hey-- I guess that's not worth returning a call. In any case, I don't recommend Prasino's. I suppose they just don't care.

As they should on NYE. Still, we never felt rushed. In fact, our waiter, Todd, was very attentive and even slowed down another server who was going to bring us our salads (a house and a caesar with anchovies) before we had a chance to finish our appetizer (a savory and spicy jambalaya arancini). Good catch on his part. We both had a glass of prosecco to start and then split a bottle of French pinot noir (Domaine de Valmoissine) to go with our entrees (steak tip pasta and steak frites). My wife loved the pasta dish (fresh pappardelle with steak tips, demiglace cream sauce and shiitake mushrooms) and my steak was perfectly prepared medium-rare with crisp and flavorful garlic fries and a side of green beans and shiitake mushrooms. It's the kind of meal and service we've come to expect at Timothy's. We look forward to the spring and some new menu items with the change of seasonal foods.

I gave the shrimp ceviche a try as well--the flavor was on point, however the avocado had seen better days. The shrimp was still a little gray as well. It was a very generous portion though, for one tostada--definitely not complaining! ;) I'm excited to eat my way through this menu--so, so happy to see more authentic cuisines in the Saint Charles area.
