Overall cleanliness of the store is awful and the biggest change with taking away all of the front facing service from the dining room leaves you feeling unimportant as a customer.

40 minutes for wrong food that was cold after 3 tries at the drive thru. Had to look really hard for the second small burger. They need smaller rolls because the hamburgers are not anywhere near in size. Also need smaller containers for fries and rings since they look half full. Be sure and double check your order before leaving parking lot or you'll pay for things you might not have gotten. They got a second star because we'd been driving for hours and they had food available after 11 pm that was close by.

If I could give this negative stars I would. We quickly made a choice before going tree hunting that we would grab a quick burger, what a terrible choice. There was one waiter that was struggling to survive all on his own. I felt bad for him, he was in good spirits and trying hard but he was hung out to dry by management. The restaurant was dirty and unkept. You can see behind the employee area where the iced tea and side is. There was garbage on the ground, water or something gross all over the ground. It was grimy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. Bathrooms were even worse, I don't want to even get into that. The food took forever to come out but half of our order was sitting in the window for pick up for about 10 minutes. As you can imagine that makes it cold. 3 tables got up and left while we were waiting. It's a real shame. Never again.

We got there right when it opened. It had not been cleaned from the night before. The trash cans where full, empty toilet paper rolls on the floor, and mold growing in the toilets. 26 minutes after ordering on the computer, we still didn't have food. RUN FAR AWAY!

The food is wonderful but the workers... not so much. I received my food and it was cold. There was maybe 3 cars in line and a lot staff. I asked to get it remade it took them 10 mins to remake it. There was a like of horse-playing inside the restaurant very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend coming here... no Wonder they have 2 stars.

It's Steak and Shake. You should know what you're getting here. It's been years since I've been to one, but what I love is it never changes. Layout, decor, uniforms and the same menu. They don't try to be something they're not. Sure. Some new toppings for burgers or milkshakes may be added, but It's still largely fries, burgers and shakes. And they've added some fancier burgers for those that don't like the thin patties they serve. One of my guilty pleasures is a Frisco melt. Something about thin burger patties with melted gooey cheese and thousand island sauce wedged between two buttery pieces of grilled sourdough bread takes me to a happy place. Yeah I got that. It's been my go to for years. I got Cajun seasoning added to my fries and that was good. Yes. The fries are skinny, but still tasty. And knowing I can't finish a whole shake I drank almost half of my husband's chocolate covered strawberry milkshake which I originally told him I would take two sips out of. It was just that good. Our service was great. We were seated instantly. Our server was friendly, checked on us a lot and very attentive. And at the beginning of our visit when I ordered my drink, she looked at me and told me I was beautiful. Having no makeup on and a long day, it was good to hear. It was a very casual relaxing meal. I've seen a lot of negative reviews for this location, but we enjoyed it and would come back.

It was a bit chilly so we sat inside even though the outside patio was heated. It was a good choice because it was a little breezy. We shared the okra as an appetizer, it was as good as I remembered! They had a special which we both decided was good, surf & turf with NY strip and lobster tail. I also brought a bottle of Freixnet Cordon Negra which was so good! We were a bit disappointed that the steak we ordered as medium rare, came out rare on both our entrees. Overall it was a memorable evening and just what I had hoped for a special occasion!

The setting alone makes this place special -- the river view is stunning and I can imagine it's even better at sunset. Our reservation was for 7:00 pm, so we missed the sunset, but the nighttime view was still great for a date night atmosphere. I started with the she-crab soup and I'm very glad I did -- it was absolutely delicious and a perfect way to start the meal. My girlfriend ordered the meatballs as her appetizer. They were good, but not a knock-out. After tasting them myself, I'd agree they didn't quite stand out compared to the rest of the meal. For our main course, we both chose the surf and turf and this is where everything really hit. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and very flavorful, and the shrimp served over roasted garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. The shrimp were labeled "blackened" -- they may have been lightly blackened, but either way they tasted great. We both thoroughly enjoyed the entrée. We also ordered a shareable bowl of roasted garlic mashed potatoes, which ended up being a bit disappointing only because we didn't realize our main course already came with a generous portion of the same potatoes. Had we known, we would've ordered something different. That said, our waitress Lisa handled it perfectly -- she agreed she should've mentioned it and had management remove the extra order from the bill. That level of service was very much appreciated and says a lot about the staff and management. We finished the evening with the milk chocolate mousse, served in a decorative edible chocolate/white chocolate bowl -- a really nice presentation and a sweet ending to the night. We paired our meal with a Moscato d'Asti (Codero) which complemented the dinner nicely. Overall, a romantic setting, strong entrées, great service recovery, and a memorable Valentine's dinner. A couple minor misses on appetizers and communication about sides, but nothing that would keep us from coming back. The Pump House is definitely a great choice for a special occasion or date night.

We were a little confused as to how to enter the restaurant, but I chalk that up to being tired. The space is wide open and airy, with large windows and skylights. The restaurant was nice and clean, save for something that was splashed on the wall in our booth - but it's a restaurant. There's going to be little picky things here and there and I'm sure it was wiped down by the end of the day! Our hostess was also our server and she was so knowledgeable about the menu. I took her suggestions at every turn and did not regret it. We started off with the Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts app and let me tell you - I could've eaten that as my entire meal. They are SO delicious and I'll be dreaming of them until I can return to Rock Hill. Holy cow, they were good - crispy on the outside, loaded with flavor and just enough spice to give the sweetness a little bite. So good. My husband had the country fried steak and he said it was very good. Not the best he's ever had, he said, but good enough. He wished there'd been more steak and less crust, but the flavor was right on. They were out of the salt and pepper flounder, so I changed my order to the ranch chicken. Ummmm....excuse me. Who says not to order chicken breasts at restaurants? The portion size is SO generous and the chicken is SO DELICIOUS that I, the girl who rarely bothers to take leftovers, boxed up what was left and brought it back to my hotel and ate it as a midnight snack. The grilled zucchini served on the side of it was delicious. If I ever get back, I'll ask if I can skip the potatoes in favor of more of that zucchini! We didn't really have room for dessert, but when we heard about the warm banana pudding, we were curious. DO NOT SKIP THIS DESSERT. If you're a banana pudding fan, this will blow your mind. Absolutely incredible! It's both warm and cool at the same time, caramelized bananas and a torched meringue topping were bowl-licking delicious. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We started things off with the Louisiana Shrimp Toast and the Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts--both packed with so much flavor and the perfect way to kick off dinner. For my entrée, I went with the Parmesan Ranch Chicken served with the most perfect mashed potatoes--comfort food at its finest. My husband ordered the Salt and Pepper Fried Tilapia with grits, topped with the most delicious tomato stew that had us both sneaking bites from each other's plates. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we already know we'll be back... because I still need a slice of that peach cheesecake! If you're in Rock Hill and looking for your next dinner spot, this one is definitely worth the visit!

It was a little dark though it was more quiet than the sunlit front. I ordered the Old Town Cobb and my husband ordered the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf and a Caesar salad. The focaccia croutons in the salad were out of this world delicious and different. Their flavor of the croutons burst in our mouth. The meatloaf's presentation was superb. Hubby said he would order meatloaf again. I had a bite and it was crispy and smoky tasting. My husband ordered 2 beers and the bill was under $50 which we thought was a good value. Pros: water served in glass tumblers. Menu is very creative. Food is really delicious. Location. Plenty of other spots to grab a coffee, tea or hot chocolate while walking around Main Street after eating. Cons: tomatoes under ripe in Cobb salad. Caesar salad dressing was more sweet than anticipated. Depending when you come, parking will be challenging if a person is unable to walk. Parking is generally plentiful around downtown Rock Hill within a short walk. Verdict: Both dishes were good. Would come back and would order them again.

On the menu for today I chose the Blue plate Special ($23) OG, bacon wrapped meatloaf, swirl potatoes, veggie du jour, stewed, collards, steakhouse, vinaigrette, cilantro Crema. The dish was Tender medallions of meatloaf, wrapped in savory bacon. Topped with a steakhouse vinaigrette, tangy, and savory, which had an amazing flavor by itself, I just wish it added more to the main. Which was slightly bland. Unfortunately, this cilantro Crema had no hints of cilantro. The actual star of the show is the collard greens. The Collard greens has a subtle kick, which is amazing and flavorful, and gives that little extra punch. Hand slammed fries ($5) Parmesan - rosemary dusted, roasted tomato malt vinaigrette. Tasty especially with their house made ketchup, but unfortunately, the fries were a little on the soggy side. And a Blake's cider (5). crisp and refreshing. Perfect for a southern Carolina afternoon. Overall, food was delicious, but could use just a hint of attentions to flavor. I would definitely recommend you give Kounter a try. During the middle of the week I decided to try a newer restaurant I hadn't been too for my birthday…read moredinner! I had been hearing good things about Firebirds in Fort Mill and as this was my special birthday meal I felt this might be the place to go. We arrived a little after 4 on a Wednesday evening. You can see from my pictures that the decor was very warm and cozy. There were tables, booths and combo bench/tables. Also there was a large bar you could sit at and enjoy the atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly and was very attentive to our table. She answered our questions we had like about the Ranch Rings. Turns out it's just a side of ranch you can did the rings in. She also offered us some bread for the table which we never turn down. It was warm and the whipped butter was soft and easy to spread! The Rings were amazing! Very crispy and fully cooked. You didn't get that onion pulling out of the coating that I hate. And there was so many of them that three of us split this very easily! For my dinner I was going all in with the Surf N Turf. A 9oz bacon wrapped filet with a half pound lobster tail! I also got the seasoned steak fries for my side. Again the waitress was great asking what extras I needed with my meal, i.e. ketchup, melted butter, steak sauce etc. For the most part my meal was excellent. The fries were crisp on the outside but had a good fluffy potato on the inside. The lobster was presented outside the tail and was easy to remove and then slice up to be dipped in the butter. The bacon around the filet was fully cooked and not rubbery at all! But it looked like they had cut into the filet to check the temp. I did as for it to me Medium and it was probably a touch over but there was some pink inside so it was ok. Overall it was good but I didn't have that eyes rolling back in your head OMG YUM moment. My parents both decided to try their three course meal. You get a starter, an entree and a dessert for a reasonable price. Both my parents chose the mixed greens salad for their starter. They both enjoyed it and was surprised by the size of it expecting to get smaller portions with this three course meal deal. Again they were surprised when their entrée's arrived. A full rack of ribs and a large grilled sirloin steak was presented to them. Dad very much enjoyed his parmesan mashed potatoes before attacking the ribs. Mom asked for her steak to be medium well but it looked well done instead but it was fine for her. Unfortunately her mashed potatoes arrived cold. Our waitress was on it and brought a side of piping hot mashed potatoes for her very quickly. For dessert mom got the bread pudding which came with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and side of caramel sauce. Dad got the creme Brulee petite cheesecakes. I swiped the ice cream from mom as she didn't want it and poured some of what tasted like house made caramel sauce over it. It was delicious! By the time we were leaving over 90 minutes later the restaurant was getting quite full. The food and service was all very good. It's not the type of place I'm gonna come to every week but for those special nights out when you want a cozy place to relax and have a good meal, this is the spot!
