I still love the milkshakes. This was a much thicker shake than last time and I am thrilled they still have paper straws. Yes I got Oreo again, I am a creature of habit and I regret nothing. They got me the milkshake right away when I went through dribe-thru. I did not go inside so I can't comment on that. How can I beat half price happy hour?

Don't, just don't do it! I'm telling you now if you do you'll regret it. Like ordering from a kiosk? Well then maybe this place is for you! Like waiting an extended period of time for your food? Well then you'll love this place! Are you into unsanitary table conditions? Come on in ! As for us we will NOT be coming back here.

It's not skyline but still pretty good!

Slow slow slow and did I mention slow? If you have an hour for lunch don't come here. The people are pretty nice, food is great Steak 'N Shake, place is clean but yeah, 20 minutes for a milkshake? Nope. Also, when I ate there I got a Diet Coke to drink and when I went to leave asked for a refill but asked for Iced Tea and they absolutely would *NOT* do it. They said I'd have to buy a new drink. Wha?? I'm 48 years old and have never ever ever been told I'd have to pay for a new drink to get something different than my original. Whatever. Very strange!

Tile floors are so dirty. Can't imagine what kitchen looks like.

This place is going downhill fast. Often see people turn around & leave. We've done that too because service is so slow. Too bad because it could be a great place. Guessing it's the management. Food is reasonably good as well as the price. The baked beans were dry. Just wish it was a lot cleaner. That's not that hard to do.

Now for the drive thru, of course it's gonna take awhile, because they are running around taking care of people inside, and making all those shakes by hand.

Within 20 minutes we received our text and were seated. The ambiance was fun and relaxing to the seating to the music, all a good vibe. Our waiter, Preston, was amazing. From start to finish he brought the energy and recommended a few things! White Sangria was amazing. Make sure to get the biscuits and you'll need more because they are . We shared the street corn nachos and you'll have to try the freshest jalapeños on them, by far the best nachos ever! I kept with the theme and did the Al pastor tacos but with grilled chicken plus queso and chips on the side! Stuffed and amazed at how quick yet fresh and delicious everything was. Every single person kept saying how great their meal was. Danielle, the manager even stopped by to make sure everyone was taken care of! After an amazing meal like that we had to try the desserts, the butter cake and banana were both great but definitely think if you only get one, the butter cake is where it's at. I will absolutely make sure to plan a visit here on my next trip.

As always, asked for recommendations from our server. Shout out to Jett because everything he recommended I loved! Favorite part of the meal was the short rib and carrot hummus and the cheddar scallion biscuits. I liked it so much I actually thought of ordering some to go. Menu has so many options to choose from, it caters to many types of palettes. My bevy, the Blackberry Cooler, was refreshing. My friend got the non alcoholic version and said it was too tart. Only disappointment of the night was they ran out of the brown butter cake. The banana caramel cake was still a good substitution. Plenty of parking but do recommend to make a reservation to avoid long wait times. Cant wait to come back and enjoy a happy hour.

Not everyone's thing but it's definitely MY thing. Staff is friendly and moves quickly if you can find a seat. This place fills up. Truely an American treasure.

Holy Bologna! A Waldo Wonder at G & R Tavern"…read more Let me tell you about the day I took a bite out of fame -- fried bologna fame, that is. Nestled in the tiny town of Waldo, Ohio (yes, it is real, and no, we did not lose him), sits a local legend: G & R Tavern. If you have never heard of it, allow me to enlighten you -- and if you have, then you already know what kind of glorious, greasy magic I am talking about. Now, I came for one reason: the iconic fried bologna sandwich. This is not your sad, thin, floppy lunchroom bologna -- no sir. This is a thick-cut slab of love, griddled to golden perfection, with just enough char to let you know it means business. Slapped onto a soft bun with cheese and pickles, it is a blue-collar burger's funky cousin -- and I was here for it. On the side? Beer-battered onion rings that crunched like a symphony and made me seriously consider writing them a love letter. They were crispy, golden, and dangerously addictive -- I could have eaten a basket the size of Waldo. My wife, being a bologna skeptic (bless her heart), played it safe with a burger and fries. And I gotta say, for a place known for its bologna, the burger held its own. Juicy, well-seasoned, and stacked just right. The fries were hot, crispy, and ready to be stolen off her plate -- which, yes, I did. Now, let us talk about the decor -- because walking into G & R is like stepping into your great-aunt's basement rec room circa 1973. Think of wood paneling, lace curtains, neon beer signs, and maybe a deer head or two wondering how it all came to this. It is cozy, kitschy, and charming in that "we're not trying to impress you, we're just being ourselves" kind of way. And honestly? I loved it. But fair warning to the modern folks: this place is proudly, unapologetically cash only. No credit cards, no Apple Pay, no crypto, no tapping your phone and hoping for the best. It is old-school -- like Bologna. So come prepared with those greenbacks, or you might be washing dishes in the back next to someone's Uncle Larry. In a world of Instagrammable cafes and overpriced avocado toast, G & R Tavern is a refreshingly humble, meat-loving time machine. Come hungry, bring cash, and leave with a belly full of bologna and a heart full of small-town Ohio charm. Until next time... I am Brian, remember to Take the Trip -- your Next Adventure is waiting.

This is a very bright lighted and well taken care of establishment with nice clean bathrooms as well. We received decent service, and received our food in a timely manner. We started with the Burnt Ends Poutine, which is a shareable sized loaded French fries with Smoked Brisket, Cheese Curds, Beef Gravy and perfectly pickle red onion on top. For 15$ I Never had fries this way but it certainly didn't disappoint and was very interesting. Everyone decided on burgers. Two of us got the French onion burger and two of us got the All American Burger. The French onion burger consisted of very very caramelized onions, three different cheeses, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and a toasted bun with butter accompanied by french fries. The caramelized onions were so creamy and tasty. It really brought the whole burger together. The All-American Burger consisted of grilled onions, American cheese, a special sauce, bacon, lettuce, tomato on a buttered toasted bun with fries. The burgers were pretty big in patty size and we all finished our food with no problems. I'm glad we came here instead of spending over 100$ on 3 meals at the zoo!!

I ordered the Manhattan and husband ordered a bourbon neat; the Manhattan was classically tasty, but the bourbon was a very small pour (though the prices are very reasonable). Kiddo had the lavender lemonade which was tasty. Husband and I both ordered the chicken fingers, he with the pimento Mac and cheese, and I ordered the jalapeño cornbread. Kiddo had eaten already but we ordered her the biscuits. The chicken was fantastic- seasoned well and not overcooked. It was served with tasty vinegary greens (wish I had more!) and thin-sliced watermelon. The Mac and cheese was good but light on the pimento; we enjoyed the Old Bay seasoned Ritz cracker crumble. The jalapeño cornbread was lacking heat but tasted good. I tried the biscuits and could eat the orange marmalade-ish jelly forever, though our kid didn't care for it. We came back the following week and this time tried the catfish and grits. The catfish was seasoned perfectly and very good; the grits were average, needing more seasoning and some cheese. It was busier this time but still great service. I enjoyed a Negroni and husband had a whiskey (better pour this time). Overall we've been impressed by the menu, service, and price. We'll be back and Hope this business can keep it up to offer some local variety in Marysville.
