Friends invited us to meet at this location. After tonight's visit, it's no surprise that this Steak & Shake is rated so low. Our visit was plagued with forgotten drinks, forgotten milkshakes, forgotten food, and foreign items in food. We weren't given kids menus. The kids that did order kids food didn't get the paper cars & hats that they enjoy. It took 45 min to get milkshakes, food came about 10 min later. Simple things like napkins, straws & water had to be asked for multiple times. Food was cold. So much oil on the bottom of plates that fingers looked as if they had been dipped in oil. Ick. That's all I can think of when I come here. Ick. Three of us visited here the Sunday after St. Patrick's day to help settle our wine and green beer induced hangovers with the greasy diner food. The food helps.... but wow! Horrible experience. The floors were absolutely NASTY! They were supposed to be white, but were covered in dirt. A little girl fell on the floor while coming back from the bathroom and I cringed when her mother didn't wipe her hands off before placing her back in front of her food. Sometimes you read bad reviews and you think, can it really be that bad? Well this place does live up to all of the negative reviews. It boils down to bad management of this establishment. We weren't greeted when we came in. There were 4 tables that were empty but had not been bussed. Nor were they bussed the entire time we were at the restaurant. The shakes that we all had were made with ice cream that had freezer burn and had been crystallized. The fries and onion rings were made with old oil in the fryer. All in all, if you live in this area or just passing through, I'm sorry, but you should try another option. The restaurant was nasty when we arrived and it took them a while to clean it. It took them a while to seat us and get our food and milkshakes to us. The waitress was the only good part about the whole thing (and Brittany gets 5 stars for being good). My parents and I had to listen to one of Brittany's coworkers be a whiny brat and a trouble maker the whole time. It was so bad that even my mom complained loudly enough for the waitress in question to hear my mom state that the waitress "needed to go whine in the back, where customers can't hear the waitress whining about table coverage and people doing their jobs." I agree with my mom -- the waitress needed to go in the back and complain -- we did NOT "need" to hear about the waitress' malfunction on table coverage. I love coming here in the evening!! It can get pretty packed but georgette is by far the best waitress I've ever had! She's super cool and does a great job of checking up on you to make sure you have enough to drink, and see if you need anything else. I've become a regular customer because of her and the rest of the evening crew. I've come a few times during the day but after having georgette as my regular waitress for so long the service almost feels subpar. She basically spoils us whenever we go. I think she might even rush our orders sometimes if she feels the kitchen is being a bit slower than usual. All in all the food is great and the service is amazing! I waited at least 10 minutes to be seated and then at least 20 or more minutes before someone took my order. Even with the extremely slow service I decided at the end of my meal to order a shake on my way out as a to-go order. This took another 10 or more minutes to produce a simple shake at a place where that is a key part of their menu. They didn't seem to be understaffed but just inefficient in how they managed the service of the customers. I can't imagine how much worse it would be if I hit the lunch or dinner rush. Originally thought they were being rude and waited. After about 10 minutes of being overlooked and seeing more people leave my patience was up. The first time we visited this place we waited over 30 mins from the time we ordered until we decided to just leave because we never once saw our server in those 30 mins. The second time 8/10/18 @ 10pm after spending two hours in the EE getting our son stitches we decided to go through the drive-thru and give them a second chance. I want to give it a -2 but that's not an option. I gave it a 2 for 2 reasons. The burgers were delicious and our server Danika was amazing! Things that kept me from rating this experience higher is the floors were disgusting, sticky and littered. My fries were cold as soon as Danika set my plate down. My 11 year old cheese was hanging almost completely off her burger and her bun was soggy. A party of young patrons were sitting beside us talking extremely loud and using so much foul language it would make a sailor blush!! Poor Danika was running around like a mad woman while the other servers looked as tho they were talking a Sunday stroll in the park, including the manager.
