We had been to Herbs & Rye a few times in the past just for cocktails and I can't recommend enough the bar service. Excellent quality ingredients and knowledgeable mixologists who are happy to customize any drink to your taste. The restaurant interior is a cool speakeasy vibe. It's bustling but in a good way. For dinner we had a party of three and we started with the French onion soup, the wedge salad and the beef sliders. The soup was very bland - it was in dire need of salt and the cheese was not flavorful at all (maybe a mozzarella or some other melty application?) It needs to be a greuyere or something else with a kick. The salad also was in need of seasoning. The ingredients were good quality but the dish was overall bland. The sliders were ok - the horseradish sauce was a welcome bit of flavor. For entrees we shared the blue cheese pork chop, the filet and the cacio y pepe pasta with sides of creamed corn and sweet potato tots. I ordered the pork chop medium and unfortunately it was served well done (and as a result very dry). The flavors were ok but the garlic mashed potatoes on the side were also extremely die. The filet and pasta were fine - north to write home about. The sweet potato tots were probably (and sadly) the highlight of the meal. Clearly homemade and very fresh and tasty. The creamed corn was way too loose and as a result lacked flavor. We finished with the dessert platter which presented each of the menu desserts but in a smaller portion. The only item I cared for was the apple bread pudding. The rest of the items weren't prepared properly. Because this is an independent locals place we really wanted to love it but I just can't recommend it for a dinner. Cocktails yes; food no. On the bright side the service is excellent. Our server Victor took great care of us and the food runners and bussers are awesome. Dinner for three came to $239 before tax and tip which included three glasses of wine and one cocktail. If the food preparation was just a little bit better it'd be one of the best values in Vegas.

When I went to book for my husband's birthday I realized that it takes about 6 months to get a reservation, which was just in time to celebrate my birthday in September. Let me tell you, this was worth the 6-month wait to experience this dining. I even mentioned it to Kevin one of our dining team last night that I was hesitant with my expectations because of everything I heard and didn't want to be disappointed, but our service was amazing. The ambiance is very old-school Vegas. Music playing in the background, but a low rumble of people chatting while dining. Carlos was the lead of our dining team and was very kind & explained some of his favorites on the menu. Everything we had was delicious. Including my crispy Diet Coke with lime. But the star of the show was the NY Steak. Literal perfection. Melted like butter that I thought it was a different cut of steak. I typically don't add accoutrements to my steak (this steak did not need anything and was perfect as is) but we did order the prime butter and peppercorn sauce for fun. Both were amazing. We finished the meal with dessert, Bananas Foster (and they brought me a hazelnut bar cake for my birthday) which the table-side presentation of the Bananas Foster was a fun way to end the evening. We will be back and we were able to book our next reservation before leaving. Thank you to Carlos, Kevin, and the rest of our dining team for such an amazing dining experience.

Plus, this location isn't cash only, so I can either use my credit card or charge it to my room! I've been here several times now and each time, I do the $49.95 Power Lunch. I've tried the lobster roll, steak (+$30 supplement), crab cake sandwich, and burger. My favorites would be the steak and crab cake sandwich. Their menu offerings could change, so I was sad that the crab cake sandwich was no longer available on my most recent trip. The lobster roll is good too, but they started offering it with a cost upcharge, so that fell off my list pretty quickly. Burger was dry and didn't have much in it (just bread, meat, and onions), so that's a skip for me. Definitely do not pass on the steak though! As for the other parts of the three course meal, the sizzling bacon is a must for the appetizer. Someone at our table picked the Caesar salad instead and that looked so sad next to the thick, crispy bacon. Even if you are not a bacon fan, give Peter Luger's bacon a try. It is pretty life-changing. Don't forget to add the Peter Luger sauce and consider making a little mini sandwich with the table bread. As for the sides, we usually get the creamed spinach and fried potatoes and have no issues there. The power lunch ends with a sundae. The whipped cream gets overwhelming for me, so I now ask to remove it, so it's easier to get to the ice cream and fudge sauce and toppings. The whipped cream does take a lot of room (on the sundae and in your stomach), and since I am usually stuffed by dessert, it was quite easy to say no to it. The chocolate coins they give you with the check is also quite nice. =) Find Peter Luger right by Bacchanal Buffet. Get your reservations on Open Table for them points.

He spent a lot of time explaining the menu and answering questions. He never seemed to be in a rush and was on top of it. There were others constantly filling water, removing plates, etc. The service alone was impeccable. We loved the mushroom fries. The basil aioli it came with was fantastic. We also tried the Brussels sprouts, which were more like a salad, fresh with lemon and pistachio. The creamy garlic mashed potatoes were also fantastic. My wife and I both tried the Spencer cut steak. It was grilled to perfection. Great char and came out the way I ordered it. Juicy and not fatty, an excellent cut. I really enjoyed the sorbet as well. I was so full, but it was a welcomed, refreshing conclusion to our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was classy. The food and service amazing. Can't wait to return here when in town next. Thank you Marcos and team!

My husband had dined at the Henderson location a couple of years ago and had such an amazing…read moreexperience, he wanted to go to the Trivoli location for our anniversary dinner. The first floor of the restaurant was very cool! You could see the cuts of meat in the refrigerators and there is also a bar on the left of the entrance. There was a beautiful chandelier by the staircase as well. The upstairs dining area was very plain however. Bare walls, industrial type of standard light fixtures. The server recommended the skirt steak which we ordered MR. Also ordered the ribeye, portobello mushrooms fries and the steak tartare to start. I've never seen a steak tartare come out brown as it shows in the photo. I was so hungry, so I tried some, assuming the kitchen wouldn't send out bad raw meat. It tasted ok but the more I kept eating the weirder I felt about the color. We asked the manager if this was a common occurrence as my experience with steak tartare had never been this way. She said that it shouldn't come out brown and said she'd take it off the menu. She then later came back to explain that the lime juice that's in the marinade oxidizes the raw beef so that's why it's brown... which is an acceptable answer I suppose? It just felt weird bc I couldn't find any photos of browned steak tartare on google when looking up the restaurant menu. The steaks we ordered MR came out. The ribeye was cooked decently but the skirt steak was more on the rare side so we had to send it back for an oven heat up for 1 more minute. I enjoyed the skirt steak but it was too sweet to enjoy the whole thing. Cooking it in the oven for another minute made it even sweeter. It tasted like over sweetened Korean galbi in steak form. I'd say the portobello fries was my favorite dish and decided to take the rest to go to pick at in the hotel. After dinner we were given the dessert menu which didn't really call out to me, but since we told the server it was our anniversary, they gave us complimentary sorbet which was very nice. I liked the sorbet quite a lot but I was pretty full so didn't get to enjoy much of it. The gesture was kind though. At the end, the steak tartare was not taken off our receipt so we had to ask for that to be taken off since the manager told us she'd do that. The server gladly obliged. I want to say, that there was a female employee - maybe a busser, who worked really hard to be attentive with our waters and clearing our plates. I wish I got her name! I believe she was Latina with a ponytail if that helps at all working Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend at 6PM. All in all, the experience was not as great as my husband's first time at the Henderson location - he said the cuts were so much bigger before and the ambience of the Henderson location was more fine dining-esque. But the economy is tough lately so I figured the quality could've easily gone down. Because the price points were very reasonable, I thought it was up to par with what we paid. Probably won't go back unfortunately but it was great to try it out. The plaza it is in is called Trivoli(?) and I thought it was a cute spot with a lot of shops. Although everything was closed by 8, we walked around to digest a little and enjoyed the evening.

The staff could not care less about providing any form of quality customer service. Every request I had when ignored every question I asked was met with distain the person that worked my table. Quite literally acted like it was his last day, working the worst job of his life and that he could not wait to get out of there. As far as the food is concerned, it's all standard steakhouse items so nothing jumped out as being exceedingly good or noticeably unique, but with that being said the temperature on my steak would not what I requested and when I asked for it to be sent back, they refused. So, just summarize, the service was worse than anything I'd encountered anywhere. I've had better service at a diner at two in the morning then I did at this restaurant and the food was un impressive and improperly prepared. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else because I guarantee eating here will only be a black mark on your trip.
