Virginia helped me pick out the perfect gift sets for my mom and mother-in-law that fit each of their likes and personalities so well. Beautiful store, with an incredible array of goods ( at all price points) for all ages ( and the fur babies in your life) from talented DMV artisans. Even more special is the wonderful, friendly customer service which will make you question why you ever shop online. Given my years in retail sales, I was beyond pleased to see that the connection between sellers & prospective customers is still going strong & is obviously important to the artists & owners. This is a cute gift shop that has lots of unique local art and other creations. It's definitely a great place to kill some time if you arrive too early for a happy hour, like I did. I had about 20 minutes to kill before meeting up with my friends, and I got so wrapped up in my browsing that I was almost late. I ended up buying a cute coaster, but if I had more time to make decisions, I would've given them all my money. read more

Super cute and fun gift items. Pleasant customer service (was that a welcome with a smile upon entry? praise the heavens my eyes do not deceive me!). No creepy or offensive salesperson stalking you. Yay! Come here if you want DC themed gift items that neither scream tchotchke or openly identify you as either a tourist or person with poor taste. Definitely worth a revisit when I return especially to check out their candles and jewelry selection (many of which are made by local artisans so it's a great place to support small businesses). read more

Steadfast Supply supplies a steadfast array of unique gifts, from jewelry and candles to note cards and animal-themed pillows, clothing, and tea towels. I have purchased a few items for our new Navy Yard apartment. As someone who still likes to write notes by hand and send funny greeting cards, I can always find what I like here. My all time favorite store to pop into when I'm hanging out around Navy Yard. I love that DC is opening so many new places such as Steadfast, that offer a one stop shop for a large variety of small businesses and local artists. I love the little shop at Ballston Mall in Arlington. Yes, it's little - but they have stocked this little shop with wonderful, interesting, locally sourced finds. I often pop in during my walks in the neighborhood, and during my last trip I found so many good things to buy I couldn't carry them all home - I called my husband to the rescue. The customer service is great - always there to answer questions and help but never pushy. I've also ordered online with the same high quality of customer service. read more

I regularly visit Steadfast to see what's new. I think this is my favorite of the places like this in DC, like "Made in DC," which feature local artists and artisans. The people who work at Steadfast are always super friendly. I have bought jewelry for myself, cute clothes and a height chart for my child, gifts for friends for their housewarming, and a "chocolate city" T-shirt. Nothing here is cheap, but creative and original designs are worth it. read more

You can find Ethiopian chocolate, Appalachian woodworking, and candles from Baltimore. Lastly, the employees are approachable and warm without being intrusive. Over the past three weeks I have ordered three customized gift boxes through Steadfast Supply. One for a full time mom working remote with a toddler at home, one for a NICU doctor who just found out she is pregnant, and one for an emergency room nurse who has a four year old and a one year old. For each box, Virginia and I worked together to find gifts that would bring joy to each individual woman that fit her style and personality. It was such an easy process and Virginia worked tirelessly to help me craft these gifts with love and attention to details. She sent videos of each product so I knew exactly what I was getting and took the time to really think about my friends and help me curate a gift selection that was truly personalized for them. Steadfast Supply is one of my favorite DC shops and I am so grateful I can support local business and artists by purchasing their custom gift boxes!
