A year ago we got to the point where we had to do something with our gravel driveway. There was an…read moreold maple tree that had to come out in part because of the roots or making the driveway difficult to negotiate. We made the decision to excavate the stump and go with a concrete driveway and for that purpose I contacted a concrete company that had a good name. That person was fine except that I didn't have the impression that he was listening that carefully to me. When the estimate came back it included something that was considerably different from what I asked for. The second company I called was Quality Concrete and Masonry. Bryan Halder came out and my experience with him was entirely different. He is very personable and he is a good listener. He engaged with me so that I could see that he understood what I wanted. When he came back with a quote, not only was it exactly what I wanted, it was also $1000 under the other company. Quality Concrete and Masonry did a wonderful job and we were so pleased with them that I contacted Brian when I decided to use pressed concrete for our patio instead of the tiles that we were thinking of. Again, his quote was reasonable. They came out on time. They were professional and also friendly. They again did a great job and we had absolutely no regrets that we had them do both jobs for us. I have attached some photographs. Our backyard is still a work in progress but in the driveway and patio are near perfect. There's no question that we will call on Brian for any future concrete needs. I recommend him to anybody without reservation.

There were a couple rips in the material, the taping on the seams between sheets zigzagged; and this is on the factory cut edge that's perfectly straight. They used the spray foam to adhere the tarp to the cinderblocks. Some spots have huge spray foam globs that sank and pushed the material out creating air gaps. The only way that can happen is there is a critical shortage of fasteners holding the material up, I've seen less than 10 on the whole job so far. There are spots where the spray foam looks like melted cheese, its disgusting. The entire area has a layer of dirt and hundreds of spray foam turds along the walls. The two 'doors' they put on for $1000 were 2x4 and pvc board with 2 screws, absolutely unacceptable. When I called to talk to the crew they said they had swept out the area, I laughed and hung up on those liars. There is numerous work material trash left under there including a 2 tank spray foam setup. They also spray foamed 2 interior walls that were not part of the work plan and didn't need it. I had the supervisor come out to take a look and he pointed out more things wrong and said this needed to get made right. Guess someone forgot to write something down because when the next crew came to make repairs, they didn't have the materials they needed cause it wasn't written on the work service order thing. It's a month later and I still haven't received any before or after photos from them of their work but boy am I glad I went down there and took my own. I know it can be grueling work, but for something that is supposed to bring peace of mind about your home, this has been a nightmare. If you need go with anyone else

And I knew this would cause problems trying to sell, so I called great lakes waterproofing and they got me on the schedule on short notice. The office was very pleasant to deal with, and the crew that came out to do the work was extremely helpful. They are very knowledgeable and very polite and professional. I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends and family! A+ rating in my book!! Happy and water free customer :)

Danger Will Robinson, DANGER!!!! I'd give NO Stars if I could. And I'm shocked that Angies has them…read morerated at a 3.5 out 5. Think long and hard before using this company under its new management. They were an excellent company back in the day, but when you need help now, forget it. New management makes excuses and does not respond to emails from results their own inhouse inspector brought to the company's attention after his visit to my home. Have a drain system with Bentonite injections, a membrane and gravel system that has settled and membrane has pulled away from exterior walls, so no longer allows the PVC drain to catch rain runoff. Result is a waterlogged lower level of my home. They say a down spout is the cause but again their own inspector saw issues with their originally installed drainage system. And it worked for about 10 years with that down spout. Again, I highly recommend you LOOK ELSEWHERE for waterproofing solutions. My next reach out is to Angie's to give them the same info as to lack of attention from this company.
