Great view of the Current River. Bed was comfortable and room location was pretty quiet, surprisingly. Only downsides were the A/C was noisy and the faux wood floors were being cleaned with some product that made them kinda sticky. We liked the Kuerig coffee maker in the room along with the nice size fridge. Check in experience was good too with friendly staff. We made reservations with a phone call and all went to expectation. Their restaurant onsite is The Blue Heron and it was good as well. Overall we had a good experience and will likely stay again.

For addicts, booze and pot close by. Cons: typical noisy blowy HVac wall units, no house phone in rooms, no luggage help, walk to Rose Cliff Lodge for ice, no cooking or fires allowed anywhere, max. 2-story walk ups depending on room (no elevators), pricey, noise from big rigs on Hwy 60 bridge (less noise in River Center), no house computer, no playground/River here a bit fast for younger kids to play in. The biggest problem with this otherwise quality property was (officially anyway) a "no cancellation/refund/credit" policy. They don't charge your card until you check in, so it is unclear how rigidly enforced this policy is (+ there's a $15 cancel fee per room/day). We got flooded out over July 2025 weekend (Park Service closes the river if it gets over 6 feet - follow this on NOAA website/river level Van Buren MO). We elected to stay regardless (kids are more flexible and inventive than adults!) The Landing is highly dependent on the weather and have a limited season, so they really can't insure your stay. Still, they should have an official credit option for a future stay credit. In Van Buren: "The" Mexican restaurant serves huge good portions. The steaks at the Landing's Blue Heron come out mooing - you may need to have them touched up. Best breakfast is at the Ranch House. No nightlife. In area: Big Spring is spectacular, floating is worth the price, but best in a canoe unless you like cold butt (there's an enormous cave upstream from Van Buren), little funky animal park is pricey but fun for kids. For floating, IMHO the best stretch of the Current is Aker's Ferry to Round Spring, and do it in drought after July 4 for clear water and to minimize deer flies and horse flies.

The staff comes by each evening before closing to make sure you don't need any ice or wood for evening and will even deliver. The bus drivers are super knowledgeable and make the experience awesome! They are helpful and make sure you have all you need for an awesome day on the river! The little store has all the basics you may have forgot for floating and some cute KCs swag! The camp sites are your basic campsites, like if you are expecting something more than what they offer--camping may not be your thing! Lol both spots I have stayed at have been perfect! The bathhouse and campground are all maintained even despite the high waters! The floating experience is my favorite in the area! The take out spot is WAY safer than there competitors! Gotta love Windy's!…read more My family has been coming to the Jack's Fork since well before I was born and we love kayaking here in the summer. We've used various kayak rental companies before and most have been fairly decent, but Windy's has consistently been great. The storefront is nicely managed by friendly employees and they carry a wide variety of seasonal merchandise. Scheduling is easy and they offer canoes in addition to kayaks. This time around, we used their services for a Sunday float on the Current River and very much enjoyed the ride. The Jack's Fork seemed to have an excessive amount of people on giant rafts and it was a less pleasant trip this year as a result (they randomly run into kayaks and tip them because they have limited control of the raft) We had an easy time booking, on-time pick-up for drop off, and very speedy pick-up after we made it to the Two Rivers Landing. All in all, highly recommend using Windy's if you're looking to kayak or canoe in the Jack's Fork or Current River.

My friends and I had the BEST experience with Carr's, doing a 10 mile float to Pulltite. They were…read morelate in picking us up from our lodge but the driver stepped out and profusely apologized and owned up to his error. He was very sweet and professional, talking to us along the way about the area and what to expect from our trip. Upon arriving, the staff setting up the raft were super helpful and reassuring to a friend of mine, who's not as familiar with being on the water. Their 6 person raft was roomy enough for the 4 of us along with a small cooler, dry bag and towels we brought along. We had such a peaceful float on the Current River and had even been given (by our driver) advice on where to find a small cave and spring that was large enough to navigate in. We also saw turtles, a heron, a small weasel, too many birds and butterflies to count and dragonflies landing on our raft along the way. The color of the water, small bluffs and expansive green shores and blue skies, made this a memorable day. Carr's provided a wonderful and safe way to have this experience. Upon arriving, as they assured us, it was very easy to spot the place we hauled in. Within minutes of pulling in, they were there and ready to take us back to the lodge. Use Carr's and have an amazing time on the river!

They offer, kayak rental, canoe rental, raft rental, and they rent tubes for tube floating as well as well as supplies to support your float. Located ~ 6 miles northeast of Eminence, Mo within the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Day floats, multi-day trips, as well as vehicle pick-up and storage (if you put into the river and want to have your vehicle waiting at Two Rivers landing when you arrive) as well as ferrying services for your vehicle and/or canoe/raft/kayak. There are hot showers and bathrooms at the campground as well as firepits and poles for hanging/security food or trash bags out of the reach of animals while you camp. I just completed two trips over two days on Memorial Day weekend. It was awesome fun. On previous trips I have seen river otter, muskrat, ducks, great blue heron, bald eagles, turtles, deer, wild horses, fox, and once saw signs of black bear. The rivers wind through hills and bluffs laced with caves and are fed by dozens of springs. Rates are reasonable for daily floats, longer trips (flat rates), and groups. Great for friends, families, church groups, scouting troops, and both the advanced or novice on the water. For $5 a person parking/admittance, we joined some others at their campsite for the day. The sites were well-maintained, the rocky beach was clean, and it was a joy to spend the day on the cool river. We didn't need floats, but TRL had them available for rent, had we wanted them. Afterward, we visited the shower houses (which were pretty clean), cooked dinner on our grill, and watched the kids play on the playground. Before returning our day passes, we looked around the general store at the t-shirt, river toys, rafts, and more, followed by two scoops of hard ice cream in waffle cones. I would definitely come back, and I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone looking to enjoy the river. Tech notes: I had Verizon 4G at the general store and at the campsite, but I was roaming at the river. There are two Pokestops near the general store.

Their equipment is always in excellent condition and their service is great. This trip was exceptional because they had just had a terrible storm over night and the owners had been up all night. The resort water was out, their internet was out. They were still awesome. Even though the river was up and a little fast, we had a great day!
