They were ready to drive me and my daughter to the Pulltite put in as soon as we arrived. Canoe was very high-quality and paddles were practically brand new. Got to two rivers an hour before our meet up time and I called and they were able to send someone to pick us up so we got back to our car an hour early on Sunday. Gotta love Windy's! My family has been coming to the Jack's Fork since well before I was born and we love kayaking here in the summer. We've used various kayak rental companies before and most have been fairly decent, but Windy's has consistently been great. The storefront is nicely managed by friendly employees and they carry a wide variety of seasonal merchandise. Scheduling is easy and they offer canoes in addition to kayaks. This time around, we used their services for a Sunday float on the Current River and very much enjoyed the ride. The Jack's Fork seemed to have an excessive amount of people on giant rafts and it was a less pleasant trip this year as a result (they randomly run into kayaks and tip them because they have limited control of the raft) We had an easy time booking, on-time pick-up for drop off, and very speedy pick-up after we made it to the Two Rivers Landing. All in all, highly recommend using Windy's if you're looking to kayak or canoe in the Jack's Fork or Current River. read more

Highly recommend! We stayed at Old Desperado Campground & Windy's picked us up right from our cabin. Drivers were polite, helpful & on time. Helped us load & unload our things, answered all our questions and were just very polite. I would recommend the float from Circle B to Two Rivers. It is an 8 mile float and it is beautiful! My husband & I are from the St. Louis area and we could not get over how clear the rivers are in Eminence. So different than here at home! read more

Lost our personal tubes on the road during our shuttle ride. Tubes not properly secured by driver. Spent 1.5 hrs from the time we got picked up until we saw the river. Shuttle took us back to windys where the "guy with authority" would not refund any of the shuttle price because he "didn't care if we went on the trip or not". Armin was Very unprofessional and rude;acting inconvenienced by us. We were given new tubes but will never use or recommend Windys again due to the way the manager Armin dealt with the situation with a hostile attitude. read more

First time ever floating on Jacks fork river and using Wendi. The bus did come pick us up at our camp site that we stayed at, which was nice. Pickup time was 9 am we didn't leave till about 9:20 due to waiting on our neighbors who was floating also. We had to pick up a couple other people from other camp sites. Our group finally made it to the river about 10:30 am. Got loaded in our canoes and started our float. We knew that we had to be at the pick up area at 6pm per the note on the door of the property that we was renting the canoes from. What we didn't know is that you had to be at the half way point by a certain time to continue the float. We should have done more research and looked this information up ourselves. We got told that we had to get off the river at 2:10 pm and we could no longer float due to the time we made it to the half way point. We got back to wendi and tried to give them feed back about having signs put up or have their drivers tell customers when you start their float trip. Well needless to say the man I spoke to was very rude and told me that I was banned and I wouldn't ever float their again. Also, was told that I shouldn't tell him how to run his business. I tried to explain myself as a paying customer and being frustrated over not one person reminding or even telling us. I do understand that we should have done the research but at the same time having it posted in clear view would have been nice. They do have it posted on the website and on the counter under the desk but not in clear view unless you are looking for it. They have a huge bulletin board behind their desk area or they could even put it on their waiver. Needless to say the customer service part of it was awful. Will never return or recommend to anyone due to the service we received all because we wanted to give constructive criticism. Never been on a float trip that lasted only 4 hours if that. Will stick to the areas and businesses that we have floated with before. read more

Year after year we go with Windy's for our canoes. Let me first tell you, if you're expecting a guided tour, with someone coming with you to keep you safe. Stop searching for canoe rentals, and look for white water trips in Colorado. Now, if you're in tune with canoeing and have some common sense, keep reading. We live in Kansas City, and have done so many canoe trips. From the Niangua to the Kings River. I wish Windy's would franchise and rent canoes in those other rivers. These guys are awesome. Ask the questions before hand that you want to know. Such as: river conditions, hazards, high points, length of time, and where you'll pick up. Don't get pissed off if you don't ask ahead of time and you're surprised at the end of your trip. The staff from start to finish are very knowledgeable about the area. We had a great trip this time that prompted this review. Zack aka (Spanky) dropped us off on our 18 mile trip. He filled us in on conditions and what had been going on since the flood a month prior. He offered to take pics for us, made sure we had everything we needed for the day, and was there at pick up making sure we had a great time. I rented from Windys and in years past have had great service. We rented a raft and a canoe two days ago. We were a group of nine people. The young man who picked us up tried to make us get in a van with not enough seats, there was already another group in there. We have 2 immune suppressed people in our group. My mother over 70 two heart attacks and heart disease, my niece a type 1 diabetic. We put on our masks because we actually love our family members. This young man very visibly rolled his eyes dramatically multiple times incredibly rude and displayed attitude when pointed out there were not enough seats for us all he tried to argue we could cram in his van with not enough seats, so not enough seat belts. Note safe and not legal. Fun time on the river. Terrible customer service experience. read more

At Your Own Risk Windy's does fine in getting you good tubes (in our case) and getting you there and back. But, what they don't do is tell you anything about the risks of floating on a low-water-level river like the Jack's Fork. That is, until you get back. Then, the driver taking you back will fully discuss the risks with you. A little late! We found ourselves on a river with low current. Except for those spots where you are carried along swiftly, right into dangers like overturned trees or rocks. Often, we had to work hard to avoid injury on this trip. And, the rest of the time, we were going along so slowly, we thought our five-mile float would never end. You are required to sign a hold-harmless agreement. And, I guess that is understandable to an extent, but Windy's makes zero effort on telling you what you are getting yourself into. I wasn't happy when I got back, and the guy I had been talking to could tell. He had no comment, but I was certainly displeased. read more

We didn't stay here. I never will stay here. I wouldn't even let my in-laws stay here! These people proceeded to tell my party, as well as another party from our group, that we made it to the wrong landing and needed to go to the next one around the corner because this wasn't where we were to be picked up. So we did. This resulted in our group being left for over an hour waiting for a bus that would never come. Luckily two in our party made it to a pay phone (because we didn't bring phones on the float) and were able to contact the right people to come get us. So, based off their carelessness for non-customers on the river, I really don't have any desire to give them my business. read more

My wife and I have been floating rivers in Mo for forty years. During that time we have rented canoes, kayaks, used shuttle services and hired many, many outfitter companies to help us get on the river and having fun. From our experience, we have never worked with an outfitter that demonstrates great customer service as good as the folks at Windy's. EVERYONE there is totally focused on YOU, the customer, having a great time. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
