What a fun experience! We were visiting for a bachelor/bachelorette trip and spent a day floating in the river. The river is absolutely beautiful! We floated a lot of the time but also pulled off for snack breaks, swim breaks, exploring... We went with the rafts versus canoes so we could fit more of the group. We split up into 4 rafts of 4 people in each. They provide all of the tools you need but we brought along quite a bit to get us through the day. We brought coolers filled with food and drinks, sunscreen...I'd also highly suggest wearing water shoes of some sort as the rocks in the river are very tough on your feet otherwise. A lot of us wore Chacos which worked pretty good. My one complaint is that I wish there were markers along the river to tell you how much longer you have until you reach the meet up point for the bus ride back. We were a bit anxious not knowing! Overall a super fun experience and I'd suggest booking if you're in the area! read more

As older patrons who have visited and canoed numerous rivers, we were extremely impressed by Jadwin. The young men working had manners, well groomed and thoughtful. The Rental buses were well maintained and canoes were exceptional quality Huge shout out to our driver Christopher who went above and beyond in his tasks. Thank you sir, for your military service as well. read more

An absolute gem! The owner is an older gentleman and is very helpful, I heard he's been doing this 44yrs. Sign in and sign up was a breeze, the river was awesome! It's at 54 degrees year round, so it's pretty cool HOWEVER, it's spring fed and super clear. I highly recommend this place and also recommend the Current River. Also, the kayaks are in amazing shape, like new. read more
The Current river is beautiful, cold, and clear. Everyone should experience it, and the best way to do that is by staying with Jadwin. Their campsites are beautiful , clean and large. All for $4.50 per person. They have a site for you no matter how big or small your group. All you have to do to reserve a spot, is call. The only time you need to pay in advance is a coveted holiday weekend, and then you need to book and pay in advance, cuz I'm not the only one who knows how great this place is! Once you've booked a site, book a trip! Canoes, kayaks, rafts, and tubes. Their equipment is clean and well maintained. $50 is the daily canoe rental fee. You pick your trip, 8 miles, 12, or 20. They even have multi-day trips, yours for the asking. Its important to note that they are the only canoe rental organization that carry radios, in case of emergencies, very important, because cell phone coverage is ify at best. It's the little extra amenities that separate Jadwin's from the others: 1) They will pick you up for your canoe trip at your campsite and return you there when you're done! 2) Warm showers (quarter fed) .50 for a long shower. 3) In door restrooms with electricity for blow drying and curling your hair when you're done playing nature girl! 4) They will deliver firewood to your campsite for $5 (10-15 logs). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Put your river trip in their hands and you won't regret it. With all this place has to offer, there's no reason not to have a great time on the river, even those high maintenance divas in your life...like me! read more

After several trips to the Current River I have concluded that my favorite floating company is Jadwin Canoe. The team at Jadwin is nice and accommodating. I've used others in the area that really screwed us over. So I will be using Jadwin from now on. They were helpful from the very beginning- from the time I made the reservation over the phone, to making changes to my reservation, and on the day of our float. They picked us up from our group campsite at the exact time they agreed to. The bus driver was friendly and helped us load the bus. When we were dropped off at the river our rafts were already there waiting for us ready to go. When we ended the float a whole crew of folks were at the shore to help us turn in our life jackets, paddles, and dispose of our trash. Jadwin is now my #1 choice to float the current river. read more

This place definitely needs To update their showers and bathrooms. Absolutely disgusting. You cannot adjust the water temperature for your shower so it's either scalding hot or freezing cold. There are no paper towels in the bathrooms or hand dryer's. We definitely will not be returning here read more

We floated the Current River this past week. I wanted to take my 2 year old and 5 year old rafting down the river and I was having trouble finding a 2-3 hour that wouldn't exceed their attention span. They were very accommodating and dropped us off at special location. The equipment was in good shape and the stretch of the river they operate on is gorgeous. read more

Jadwin provides efficient, friendly service from the parking area to their store, their shuttles, and their advisories. They value client safety, and their gear is of good quality. We always appreciate the pay showers after a two day camping trip on the river. The 30+ miles of river we see each year are lovely. We like to avoid the weekend rowdiness to better enjoy our surroundings. read more

Everything you could ask for in a floating destination. Good prices, friendly helpful employees, a convenience store with clean bathrooms and cat to greet you, beautiful scenery, and spring fed waters. Go the Rolla route to get there so everyone in the car isn't nauseous for the first hour of the float. read more

Wonderful, family-owned business. I've been coming here since the 1970s, and they always aim to please.

This place does it right. I have done 2 overnight floats with them now, and I have always received great service. The canoes are excellent, and the people who work here are always nice. If you want to float the current, this is the place I recommend read more

I've been using Jadwin for nearly 2 decades. Very well run business, friendly staff and they have campsites across the road available for rent if you can't find one on the river itself. Small store with supplies and plenty of trip options. Best to float during the week if you want to avoid the crowds...or on a Friday or Sunday if you have to do a weekend. read more

We did a 23 person 8mile float on rafts...8 rafts...rafts were spacious and clean. The owner was so friendly and accommodating!! Was $20 cheaper than another place we floated the week before...and rafts were much cleaner. Couldn't be more pleased. We will use them from here on out! read more

We have been going to Jadwin for over 9 years floating and camping four or five times each summer. We have never been disappointed. Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you are happy. We almost feel like family when we arrive. If you have young kids and go on the weekend you may want to float from Baptist Camp to Cedar grove. It's a lot tamer, more families and less drunken wildlife :) read more
