Not too far into your float trip you will see a huge rock face bluff. Don't be afraid to stop here for a good long while and post up to enjoy the view. I wish I would have spent an hour here. It's the best view along the entire float. There are a few RV hookups with electric and water but not a ton. Call ahead to make sure you can get one if this is necessary. The lighted accents present expansive areas of the cave, some hundreds of yards across. This cave should be a national monument. Not to be missed.

The layout is a little strange as all bathrooms are on the main floor but it worked out great. The kitchen is a little small but there is a lot of space throughout the house. If you have a smaller group then Huzzah has tons of options for all sized groups. Check out their website for more info. Our first day we hung out by the river watching the kayakers and floaters come back. The second day we floated. The staff everywhere were super helpful and nice. The whole experience was awesome.

I successfully made reservations over the phone...online reservations have been an issue in the past. We arrived after 4 p.m. and checked into a busy store where everyone was working diligently. I will say, it's expensive to camp here. They charge per person, not per tent or site. We stayed at a primitive campsite that was nicely shaded. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit, both well used. River access from the primitive sites is close and refreshing on a hot day. In the evening, it's lovely to sit by the river, stargaze, and watch the lightning bugs in the trees. If you're lucky, the people around you will turn off their music by midnight so you can enjoy a little peace. There's access to a porta potty near the campsite that's about as decent as you can expect. You can walk or drive to a shower house, but keep in mind you'll need quarters to shower, and the change machine isn't always working. The flushable toilets are hit or mis. Some are clean and stocked with toilet paper, others are...not. Floating is easy to book, and the rafts, canoes, and kayaks are well maintained. The Huzzah is a fast-moving creek when the water's high, and more of a slow drag when it's low. I'd recommend the 6-mile float for a nice full-day experience. Don't forget sunblock, hats, and sun shirts. Also, bring plenty of water and snacks. When you're done with your float, a bus will take you back to the main campground. I've been to Huzzah many times for a quick getaway. The experience is enjoyable, and the front desk staff is great, but it is pricey, and the facilities could definitely use better upkeep.

The rafts are my favorite but I have also done the personal kayaks. Last trip we had 6 people in our raft. So much fun. You bring your own beverages to the river and make a day of it. We planned our trip with meals too. Its what you would expect from a country kitchen. Cute little sitting area overlooking the water to the left and some tent campsites right out in front of you. There is a volleyball net that we didn't take time to play with but made a mental note for next year to possibly bring a ball. They might hv them there. (Not sure) The campsites had fire pits right at the site so we could chill with just our group when we wanted to get away.

Only giving 4 starts instead of 5 due to the high cost, but I'm sure that's necessary. My son would give it 10 stars if he could, it has been life-changing for him. The counselors are very professional and meet kids where they are, he has nothing bad to say about the food. You can leave a bag of snacks for your kid in case they get hungry between meals or don't like the options. My son loves meeting and taking care of the animals. It's very well organized, especially the drop-off process. Pickup is fun, the kids take their families on a tour. My son loves this part. He has made some great friends at camp. Another negative is their email communication system changed from the first year, doesn't seem to be as smooth, it is a more complicated process than the app they used to use. But at least it's free, where before you had to pay. But that's minor. They also take tons of pics and post them every day so it's nice to see smiles on your kiddo when you miss them.
