However, the septic system was never located, excavated, or visually inspected before this conclusion was made. Relying on this information in good faith, I contacted their recommended, local contractor to discuss replacement and was quoted $5,000+, which caused significant stress. Because the claim felt serious, I obtained a second opinion from a licensed local company. That inspection located and excavated the tank and confirmed the system was not as described and did not require replacement. I requested a refund due to the inaccurate certification and lack of proper inspection. After receiving no response to my email, I called and spoke with Jeff. I was asked to repeat my explanation multiple times without resolution, and the conversation became defensive. I was told I would receive a follow-up, which never happened. This experience felt misleading, unprofessional, and inconsistent with industry standards for septic certifications.
