When confronted, Brian told me I was supposed to tell his installation guy "how and where" to position the tank beforehand. I paid for a professional but I forgot to tell them how to do their job, I guess? They unclogged the drains and explained to us the real problem was that the drains were not sloping in the proper direction or angle. The second job was helping my parents replace two very old toilets with new dual flush types. Redid shower valves in old homestead cabin. He came from Desert Hot Springs to Yucca Valley and he totally redid the shower valves from behind the shower inside the bdrm wall and installed new valves, showerhead and took out the old visible pipe that was inside the shower and then cleaned it all up nicely! They were the only company to provide an estimate based upon a thorough description of the work to be completed and pictures that I submitted. I had two other companies provide a bid and both ended up being higher than Schroeder. Providing the bid electronically saved us both time and money. The plumbers moved valves from one side of the shower to the other and relocated a drain which was previously a tub. They also came back after the tile was complete to install all my faucets, toilets and trim. Can't thank Kerry from Schroeder enough. I had a group of girls at my Airbnb clog my septic line with "flushable "wet wipes. They literally used almost 2 full packs. I had another local plumber come out who I will not name because I'm not trying to call anyone out, spent $250 for them to clear my line. But not all of it got cleared. They did not go through everything. Two days later another renter complained that the bathtub was backing up with gross water. Sure enough there was still a clog. Called Schroeder and they had Kerry come out the next day for me and within five minutes job was done and everything has been great since. My only mistake was not calling them first. There's definitely a few other really good plumbers in town, but from now on these are my go to guys, and I'll do my best to try to get kerry personally cause dude was super cool and pro as hell. read more

This owner used to have very competitive pricing and when Brian was just starting out , a very pleasant guy. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. My bills with them are paid in full (I DO NOT owe this company a dime) and his posts about stalking are false. Since my other review posted -- where he over-charged for what he claimed was leak detection -- his wife Emily has continued to harass me on every short term rental platform I was listed on. She even tried to book on a home that was in escrow and sent emails and texts from phone numbers and addresses using her maiden name. She also posted a false review on my other company site...very vindictive and extremely unprofessional. FYI:THE LEAK "DETECTION" JOB THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED HAD TO BE REPAIRED BY ANOTHER CONTRACTOR AS IT WAS DONE INCORRECTLY. Best of luck to this company, hopefully they will take this as constructive criticism and change their approach and business ethics. read more

Before I share how good my experience with Schroeder was, let me share what led to me turning to them in desperation. I had a sewer line clog and had raw sewage running up my shower. I called Roto Rooter and they came out the same day. I figured as a national company they might be cheaper, which was the worst assumption i've ever made. The lady on the phone made sure to let me know that the consultation would be free (which it was). "Juan" showed up and he was very nice and seemed very trust-worthy. I showed him my septic system and in 30 seconds he had diagnosed the problem that I needed to dig up my septic system and insert a new service contact so they can service the tank. He said the tank was never serviced since the house was built and that I had no option but to pay $5000 to dig up my septic system and make his recommended changes. I was distressed and this news freaked me out because I don't have that kind of money. He told me I was between a rock and a hard place. He told me all types of things that could go wrong with other companies but to his credit he recommended that I look at other companies. I proceeded to call Hi Desert plumbing who were busy for the next few days and referred me to Schroeder Plumbing. The people on the phone were very informative and set up a consultation. They came out the next day first thing the next morning and with a snake they fixed the problem in 10 minutes and it cost $225 dollars. Anthony and Kerry were HONEST and didn't try to take advantage of a desperate situation. As a result, I am now a loyal customer. Juan from Roto Rooter said there were no other options to get my plumbing working. That was a complete lie. There were other things like going through the roof access point that Roto could have done that the second company would have done if the first strategy didn't work. Roto just wanted me to pay for the most expensive option without trying the low hanging fruit easy fixes. I'm really angry with them for wasting my time. Lastly CA state law requires all houses sold to get septic systems serviced. I bought my house a little over a year ago. Juan said my septic system was never serviced, which would be against the law and is a lie. I clearly didn't know much about plumbing and they tried to take advantage of a desperate situation. They clearly have "Free" consultations b/c if they charged for that kind of misleading advice, they woulds get sued. I'm letting you guys know because I want other people to know how unethical Roto Rooter is. He really seemed honest and he was boldly lying to me the whole time. Thank you to Schroeder.
