I cannot say enough good things about this company. Four years ago, Mahany Plumbing fixed a main water line for my house. It was not an easy job. Everything was under the ground, and there was no blueprint to where anything was. They had to dig deep under the ground to find out how my pipes were laid some 60+ years ago! They fixed it all with a smile and as I recall they did it all for a reasonable price. Last Friday I got home only to find my water wasn't working. I called Mahany. It was about 415 on a Friday so soon everyone would be out for the night and also the weekend. I was panicking. Their employee Luis came out and searched and searched for the source of the problem. It was hot. We were both tired and again he was cheerful and professional, and kept telling me, it will get figured it out. I was lucky that he was at my house 4 years ago so he had a bit of a lead on where things were. He called in his coworker Jason and between them they finally figured it out. Couldn't fix my backed up toilet. Claims they "snaked" it, but only snaked the easy access to the septic. As a long-distance owner, I need help fixing problems. Gave them two stars for the receptionist discounting the invoice. Shouldn't have to pay anything if they can't tell you the problem and can't fix it. read more

JM Plumbing is the most professional, thorough, trustworthy plumbing outfit in the Morongo Basin! I had to go through a lot of plumbers in this area to find them! I highly recommend them especially Louis! We have been using them for past several months. They frequently no show or are late. The office is also terrible at coordinating or communicating. We schedule an appointment and then the technicians simply no show, come completely unprepared or arrive prepared to do some completely different job. So much headache. Would not recommend working with this company if you are having anything remotely complicated done. Had a leak in a new water heater. My wife saw Tom on another job and asked if he could help. As soon as he finished his current appointment Tom arrived at our home and after throughly checking the water heater check our water pressure. Turns out that our problem was caused by a faulty water pressure regulator. Tom came back a few days later, replaced the regulator and solved our problems. I would highly recommend Tom! We think these guys are tops! We had a plumbing blowout when a hose bib got jarred outside the wall and created a leak inside the wall. After determining the repair to be well beyond what we could tackle ourselves, we contacted them with our details and were relieved to hear a duo would be finishing up with their project and available to stop by afterwards. A few hours later they arrived, listened to our story l, then made their own assessment. Being trained professionals, they saved the day very efficiently. (Our foolish plans contained tools that cost more than the repair, honestly.) The office staff I spoke with was friendly, understanding, and very helpful throughout. Awesome experience with John Mahany Plumbing! They were affordable, responsive, and flexible with our job. They came out and gave us a quote, and once we accepted and paid our deposit, got us on the calendar much sooner than I expected. Cecilia from the front office was super helpful and communicative making sure we knew the status of the project. The level of service for our smallish/one day project was beyond what I would expect in the middle of a huge construction boom in the desert. Have used them twice in the last week for different issues dealing with my kitchen sink. My wife noticed that we had a leak under our sink it appeared that the leak was coming from behind the wall at first. Called John Mahany after my normal person said that he could not get to use that day. Mandy was able to get us on the schedule that day. Luis and Chris looked at the leak and found out that the problem was not as bad that I thought that is was at first. Luis fixed the problem and noticed that we had a leak starting in our faucet and recommended that we change our kitchen faucet soon. We bought and new faucet and called them to have them install the new faucet because Luis had told us that because of the age of our plumbing that we may have some issues with the install and he was right. Had a leak and the main shut off to the house was also broken so I could not shut off the water. They came out within 1.5 hours (despite it being late in the day and close to closing time), temporarily fixed the leak, and then came back just a few days later to replace the broken valve. The Technician (Tom) was kind, professional, informative, and efficient. The folks in the office were responsive, friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable. Morris came to the house a few months prior to do an estimate about changing 3 toilets, multiple faucets, shower heads...He went back to his office and sent us a lists of choices with prices. Because of COVID, month long holiday trip...we were not able to schedule an appointment until now. Yesterday, Tom and Luis came to the house to start the job and finished everything by noon today. They worked on every fixtures in every rooms of the house in addition to replacing the exterior fixtures. They were fast, thorough, and extremely clean. I needed to get a plumber to a rental property in Yucca Valley and took a stab at finding a plumber that would call me back on a holiday weekend. They have been to my home (landers) two times fixing problems, the first was a year or two ago, the most recent this month. It is so difficult to find responsible tradesmen out here that I hate to even try. These folks are an oasis in the desert, no pun(s) intended. They answer the phone, first time you call! Really! They arrange an appointment, then call to advise you right before they come, and then show up time and ready. I know that most of you will think I'm related to this Mahany guy, but I don't even know if there is one. Maybe he sold his business years ago? But, whomever they are they are doing great work for a fair price. The most recent plumber was a young fellow named Jason. He rebuilt the mixing valve on my tub/shower from the outside! Valve is about 50 years old. No ceramic tile intrusion to get it done! Same day that I called. He came to give me an estimate, and instead estimated the job and had it completed in two hours!! A miracle! Prompt, punctual, competent, knowledgeable, fair price, and cleaned up after. And they take plastic. Also, my neighbor has also had them do work, and he thinks they are great, too. So there may be some consistency going on, rather than just a good day...! Terrible customer service. Called to get someone to come and look at my hot water heater. Was told Someone would be right over. The tech shows up and told me he was there to get my phone number because the office forgot to get it. Then He says he can not look at my hot water heater because he has other places to be. Then hours later I get a call back from the office lady telling me the tech has other places to go and he will come to me last since I am so close to their office. I called you people because you are close so you Could get here quicker. It gets even more outrageous. The lady asks me if I can go measure my hot water heater so she can know if they have one that fits. So you forgot to get a customers phone number, told a customer someone would be right over to look at problem, only to send him for a phone number. Then you call back hours later to tell me he will be here at end of day. Then you want me to work for you by measuring a hot water tank. Seems to me like you people are more interested in trying to jump to conclusions to make the most money off of people,instead of giving good customer service and doing your job before worrying about the money. Im sure these techs do great work, but it all starts with the customer service. I would highly recommend replacing the scheduling woman as she has no customer service skills and is highly unprofessional. read more

John Mahany team has installed my plumbing from the ground up on my remodel. It has been over 1 year of working with them. Ed & Jason are nice guys and good plumbers - however, they are so short staffed we've dealt with a year of pulling teeth to get people to show up on time or at all, a grossly incompetent new hire who wasted a day of our time (and what he touched had to be repaired again) , and 2 items on our signed contract we had to bring in outside hires for since they flaked out on us. They are nice people, but there's a right way to do business and this isn't it. At the end of the day I wish I went with someone else & saved myself the head aches. read more
