We've done business with this company (3) separate times. Quality of work the last two times was complete but with a minor discrepancy due to not double checking their work or possibly rushing it. I'm not paying experts to do a job that they miss little details; otherwise, I would do it myself. Overall, 3 out of 5. Our last job from them was to install a shower system which wasn't complicated, and they failed to pay attention to essential details with an instruction guide given to them and still overlooked small details. First, let me say--CALL (760) 219-6453, as I never got a response from the email account listed on Yelp! I called requiring immediate assistance during a shower reno. Our contractor got residual cement down the drain and we needed to attempt a snake. It didn't work, but I'm still one-hundred percent satisfied and would recommend Mike the Plumber's team of professionals. Furthermore, I plan on using them here in the near future to remove and reinstall a new kitchen sink/disposer/faucet as well as replace the two bathroom ones. (I replaced one without major problems, but the p-trap is still oozing some water--and it's never good to use a channel lock/tape/glue on these things--TIME TO CALL A PRO!) They couldn't get to me same day, but I was promised to be the first stop the next morning. The guys called me 15mins prior to the appointment and arrived right at 8am as scheduled. The lead tech was Tim and he had an apprentice, Mark with him. They were both helpful, friendly, professional--absolutely wonderful! Because they were unable to clear the problem, they did provide a discount to the service. Additionally, I received a $10 military discount. Never expected, but always appreciated. The main reason I decided to call Mike the Plumber is because THE Mike is a veteran and the VFW, which I am a Lifetime Member with, advertises for Mike. When given the opportunity, this vet will always support other veteran owned/operated businesses. No one gets us but us and we should all support one another. We've used MTP for years and have always enjoyed prompt, courteous service. This last time was a water heater replacement, utility sink faucet replacement and an exterior hose faucet replacement. Tim did a great job with the original quote and the day the services were performed. He showed up pretty much when he said he would and was easy to do business with. Just hired them to service my tankless water heater. Tim the tech was running behind on schedule with another emergency. He called two hours before my appointment time to let me know and him and the office called with updates throughout the day. That goes a long way in my book. We dealt with Anthony and he sorted out a drain line clog. He was fairly cautious about his approach, which was great, because another plumber didn't even snake or camera the line and immediately wanted to do an entire drain line replacement. He cleared the clog and replaced the troubled section (a fraction of a total line replacement) and even said he didn't want to sell us a total line replacement if we didn't need it. He could have easily taken advantage of the situation to make a ton more money, but went the cautious route. Can't find any fault here! Have had a few interactions with this company. While sometimes a little difficult to get in touch with the home office (to handle the scheduling), once you get in touch with Samantha, she'll sort it out and get someone out to you ASAP. I've had 2 different folks come out...first Tim and then Anthony. Both were very responsive/communicative. Even though all the issues didn't get fixed the first go 'round, they did everything they could to address that and make sure I was dialed when they came back (including no charge). In December of 2019 I hired MIke the Plumber to replace a water heater for me. $1200 later, for a 40-gallon water heater, the thing almost burned my house down. The installer did such a bad job with the installation that every time the heater clicked on there was a tremendous electric arc. The wires melted completed. I had my electrician come out (from Wonder Electric in 29Palms) -- he was horrified and astonished to see how badly the install was done and what a risk it put me at. I contacted Mike the Plumber, with photos of the melted wires, asking for the $85 electrician charge to be refunded. Never heard from them. read more

When you call Mike the plumber you're not getting Mike the plumber you are getting a much younger and inexperienced plumber who came in misdiagnosed our plumbing issue causing us to re-pipe the whole house when all it was was a shower valve that was put in upside down they also didn't complete any of the work the pipes they soldered we're all touching each other and rubbing on each other I also never got my earthquake straps and any other parts that he said he bought from Home Depot no receipt they left the houseWithout looking back or any concern we literally had to re-pipe the whole house just to find out that he had misdiagnosed the issue set us back two weeks and a good $4000 read more
