Service was ok except at the end of the meal when our server never came back to the table. Food: we ordered a cheese pizza and Greek salad. Wow! Never experienced that level of garbage disguised as food before. The salad was a mass of shredded mess, not at all as described on the menu. The pizza... a polling of our table guests unanimously voted it as the worst pizza ever. Crust was hard... no chew to it, as though the yeast was missing. Honestly, most frozen pizzas from your local supermarket are far superior! Suggestion... find pizza elsewhere. We could not figure out why it has so many good reviews. We were staying at a condo for a long weekend. After a storm came through we chose to just order in. We found the menu on the fridge and my daughter ordered online. The app and text estimate of time for delivery was way off. But we did not have to take the baby out in rain to eat. Everything you want from a local pizza place. Great food and a super friendly staff. For me the super stars are the grinders cooked in the oven. They are all good but I'm telling you to get the combination. Want some local knowledge, try the Greek salad. Piled impossibly high with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced peppers, onions, an insane amount of ham, salami, Greek feta cheese, olives, peppers...the flavor is intense and a small is a perfect lunch on the go. We are visiting from the Chicagoland area so we are big pizza enthusiasts. To say we were elated is an understatement. The pizza was fresh out of the oven and cooked perfectly. The crust was a crispy, yet somewhat fluffy crust with just a hint of garlic flavor. We had Italian beef (it was delicious) mushroom and green pepper. Yummy! We got a large and it was only $21 and worth every penny. If we were staying longer, we would order from here again! Also- if I were to guess- that was the owner pulling the pizzas out of the oven that night? Definitely a 5/5! read more

Alright stop what you're doing and order this pie. I've actually never had this style of pizza before so I'm not sure how to describe it. But there's one thing I can say - delicious. We've now tried 4 of the "best" pizza spots in Ormond and Stavros has been moved to the number one spot. Now onto the pie.... At first glance you think it's going to be like a deep-dish style but that's not the case. Its a thinner crust but with a nice crunchy/buttery bottom so not soggy at all. Also at first glance you think the crust is going to be dry but again, not the case at all, it's soft and buttery. Take a look at the pics I posted to see what I mean. The sauce is flavorful but not overpowering. All around, this is a good freaking pie. You know it's good when you wake up the next morning wanting to start your day with coffee and a cold leftover slice :) Prices are on-point too - a bargain for a pizza this good. read more

White pizza was dry and tasteless. Garlic knots were missing the GARLIC! Spinach ravioli was actually cheese ravioli with some CANNED spinach ON TOP of the ravioli. Greek salad had a total of TWO black olives. Avoid this place. Lenny's pizza is 2 blocks south. Their garlic knots are huge and smothered in real garlic. read more

Let's just start with the SALAD!! It is huge and delicious! The waitress warned me when I ordered a large for the three of us, so I changed to a medium...we will took a serving home...which I was not mad about! It is so good, I thought I'd just eat the salad and take my entree home. But them my entree came and wow, it was great. I got the Italian deluxe. The it was nice and piping hot and very tasty. The two downsides are that the spaghetti wasn't drained well so it made a soupy mess that I drained off my plate, that wasn't fun. The breadstick were not the best...not sure if ours were just over cooked or if they were supposed to be that way? My husband and son had calzones and they thought they were very good. I'm picky about sauce and I really did like the sauce here which means we will be back! The service was great! read more

We live close to this place and really wanted to give it a few chances but it's consistently not good. They were rude on the phone the first time we ordered, messed up our delivery the second time we called (wrote it as pickup, we called 1.5 hours later when it still wasn't delivered... told us to come get it) and this time it was so greasy we couldn't even eat it. This is a tough review to write, because I am conflicted, however overall it ended up being great! I called and was quoted an hour delivery time. Free delivery, Saturday night.. fine. And hour and fifteen minutes later we get our order, but we find out after the driver left... it's wrong. We are so hungry we eat a few pieces and realize it's wrong. We ordered a sausage and salami pizza and got delivered a white pizza. I called the restaurant and let them know and the worker informed me that the delivery driver had messed up multiple times that night. He offered to remake the pizza and deliver it himself. I'm impressed by the service. He did just that! I wasn't thrilled about my food being wrong after a long wait, but overall it ended up being great! The pizza was so cheesy and delicious! The food is amazing, both times we have been the service was crappy, had to wait 20-30 minutes to even get greated at table, then the servers both acted like we were a pain to them(probably because we had our kids with us) we enjoyed our food and left big tips hoping next time they wouldnt be so quick to judge, or cheer them up some!! This is a must visit every time we're in the area. The Greek salad alone is worth the visit. So good! It's shredded lettuce and veggies and small julienned meats and cheeses. Homemade dressing. Pizza is good. Haven't had a bad one yet so pick any one and I'm sure you'll be happy. Plenty of toppings and really good sauce. Also, the meatball sub is very good. Located in a all-too familiar strip mall, Stavros has been there since 1984, and it shows. It smells heavenly when walk in, just like a pizza joint should. It was busy at 530pm on a Monday. Not from table guests but from deliveries and pick-ups. Table service was quick and friendly. We ordered their famous Greek salad, garlic knots, and sausage pizza. The salad was served ice cold in a heaping pile of lettuce, feta cheese, and shredded meat. Throw on some calamata olives and those wonderful pepperocini peppers and you have a meal in itself. Everything was fresh. Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. The garlic knots were served hot in a pond of melted-butter-chunky-garlic loveliness. There was a side of homemade marinara on the side, but the butter-garlic is simply heavenly. My only quibble is that they are very small. One bite wonders. The sausage pizza was the star. The pizza sauce is also homemade and I dare to guess the sausage is as well. The seasonings in the sausage were amazing. I tried stealing some of the sausage from my better half, but was caught and threatened with violence! The crust was light and crispy and begged to be dipped in the extra marinara or butter garlic sauce. Excellent food and service. Being open for 36 years is a testament of their quality and it shows. Last night we ordered a large white pizza, garlic knots, spinach ravioli, and a Greek salad. Pizza was extremely dry and relatively tasteless. Garlic knots were missing one key ingredient. Garlic. I would label them just "Knots". Spinach ravioli was quite a surprise. There was NO spinach in them. There was some canned spinach on TOP of the ravioli. Interesting. I'm Italian and my father was a chef. Never heard of spinach ravioli without spinach inside. Have you? Greek salad was fine. Large bill and even bigger disappointment. You've been warned. Dude who sounds like he smokes 10 packs of cigarettes a day answers the phone and when I ordered a "half pepperoni/half cheese", he decides to be a smartass and say "All pizzas come with sauce and cheese"... DO THEY ?? Damn I did not know that ! I just wanted half the pizza to be cheese and sauce, and the other half to be just pepperoni with no sauce or cheese ! That stupid sarcasm has no place in customer service, and should be left in New York. It's rude, cringe, and will probably cause that dude to get dragged outside and beaten like a dog one of these days. We stopped in here while staying in Ormond Beach and it was easily some of the best pizza we ever had. We stopped in around lunch time. The place was fairly empty and we were immediately greeted and seated. The server was friendly, I believe she was one of the owners. She chatted with us and offered tips on the menu. We had the white pizza with garlic butter, ricotta and mozzarella, as well as garlic bread with cheese. It all came out shortly after we ordered and was hot, fresh and delicious. You could tell the dough was homemade and fresh as well. Overall, a great experience and we wished we could've gone back during our visit! read more

I am from the Northeast and have been searching for a good local pizza joint since moving to the Daytona area. I am a review reader and constantly like to check customer feedback on the place I'm going. The menu and reviews claim a New York style pizza. This has no New York style whatsoever. It is cut into small pieces. It is extremely thick. It does not have the New York flop. You are incapable of getting a good New York fold. Basically everything about this pizza was wildly mediocre at best. Too much dough, not enough sauce and way over cheesed. All in all the staff was extremely friendly and nice.
