I have been to Mama Mia's a few times now, and each time it has been fantastic. I am always looking for a good pizza place. And after a couple other spots closed, I tried here. Wow. It's my new favorite spot. The pizza is great. Get the garlic sauce on the crust. And they have THE BEST garlic knots I've ever had. Had to get new socks because it blew mine clean off. Me and my wife love mama Mia's. Also, it's affordable. We ordered a 14" specialty pizza, garlic knots, kids chicken Alfredo, and a glass of wine all for a total of $44. If you haven't been, I highly recommend as it's one of best kept secrets in Ormond. Well done. read more

The food here was delicious. However our complaint is with the fact that the menu prices on the board next to the register did not match the menu prices on the menus on the table. Since we ordered at the register, we noticed our tab was much higher than we expected. The lady pointed to the sign that says price is subject to change. We explain to her not once, not twice but three times that you don't get to tell people the prices are subject to change but then you don't tell them what the new prices are!!! We tried to be nice but they kept pointing at the sign. This is a bait tactic and it is unethical at the least. Then I looked over my receipt and I'm being charged a service charge of 3.5%, but yet they never say what it is for. With all the places to choose from, I would not come back here again because I don't like being blindsided with prices that are a difference of $3 on an item and not being told until after I've already ordered and paid. I placed an online order blindly ("order of wings" doesn't tell you how many, or flavors, etc, "supreme pizza" doesn't tell you what's on it, etc)... I put a note in for them to call me if there were flavor options for the chicken or if they needed other information and they called...to tell me the order cost was going to be adjusted because the wings are no longer $8.95, they are now $14.95... At first, I was disappointed that I showed up before they were actually open as the gentlemen was inside cleaning up and prepping for the day. I apologized explaining I was saw the cookie sign and as I was leaving, he told me to pick out any cookies I liked and wished me Merry Christmas. Sad, i love the food and realy i can give 5 stars for food. Anyway i go out for lunch monday-friday but service is not there only one "waitress " running all over most of the time with flour all over her. I was wishing when the new owner arrive going to provide better service but is not. Is bikeweek , and owners need to catch all those costumers but their don't. I believe in my 47 years this is my first time i do a review i usaualy don't go anymore to those restaurants with problems but like i say before is not service. We have been going here for years and it used to be great. What a disappointment it is now. The sausage, pepper & onion sub was a joke. On each half was 5 thin slices of sausage, about a tablespoon of diced raw green peppers, 2 slices of wilted onion and a little bit of mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top. The food was good, but everything else was pretty marginal. We went on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm, and the servers were extremely busy, even though there were just a few tables in the place, with most people apparently leaving. However, the two servers seemed to be responsible for the very heavy to-go business, so that definitely explained why they were running around like crazy. I think the restaurant needs to have one dedicated person just for to-go orders, and maybe to act as hostess; we finally had to ask to get menus. Our server was very, very new, and while she was friendly, she was very unorganized. After we ordered she dropped bread & better off with plates, but we had no napkins or silverware. Then, when she went to get those, she got distracted by to-go orders, and it was a good five minutes by the time she came back. When she dropped the pizza off, we didn't have pizza plates, and those, too, took a few minutes to get. I got up to get the crushed pepper instead of waiting to see her again. I had one of their dinner specials, spaghetti and meatball (yes, just one) that came with salad and bread for $7.99. It was decent. The house salad dressing was wonderful. And I loved that I could get my pasta with angel hair instead of spaghetti noodles. Pizza was nice size with a good flavor. The other weird thing about this place was the table size. They have a lot of "4-tops" in there, but they are only really as wide as 2 1/2 - 3 tops, which makes for a very crowded table top, and eating elbow touching elbow with your neighbor. Very odd. I might be back, but I think I need to check out other local pizza places first. read more

Lovely people, convenient location right on Grenada. Unfortunately, that does not supercede good food and good service. Went for a late Saturday lunch and while the place was consistently busy, they were not packed. I share that in defense of the slow service... My point? It wasn't so busy to account for the delayed wait on food, no utensils in the table, etc. Got a prosciutto, mozzarella & tomato panini. Meat was fatty, undercooked and smelled funny. I ate half... But couldn't do more. The sandwich looked nice and had a tasty garlic wash over it. The salad we ordered was well put together but quite basic using iceberg (cheap). My company's plain cheese pizza slices were large and tasty. But it took 30 min to arrive at the table. This review may seem all over the place but I try to give credit where it's due.
