If you need silly fun yard decor or if you are into Farmhouse decor for your home, you've got to shop here. There is stuff everywhere and it's all rustic and vintage looking. It's not a real fireplace, it's just the mantel that would go around one, flush against the wall. It's painted in an antique/vintage white and is very distressed. At first, I didn't like it and was thinking about removing it from the living room. Then while working with a decorator, she was all excited about and told me what fun things I could do. Now, I love it and cannot wait for the next holiday to change things up. Yes, I am changing the decor with the change of holidays and seasons. Where most people have the same boring mantel decorations/presentation everyday of the year, mine changes like the sets of a Broadway musical. That is why, I love shopping at Kirklands. Today I able to completely decorate for Valentine's Day and I picked up almost all my needed supplies for Easter. The only thing they did not have for me today, was St. Patrick's Day. If you're also into decorating your home with the new popular farmhouse theme, they've got you covered for that as well. The staff is friendly and helpful while you're shopping. What kept them form getting a fifth star from me, is how they bagged my purchase. They use no protective paper around your items before placing them in the bags. Metal and wooden items rubbing against each other can remove paint and leave scuff marks. A sheet of wrapping paper to protect your new items would be a nice customer service touch. However, here at the new location in Glen Carbon, that is not the case. There's nothing nearby, but the positive is the layout and space of the store is so much better. Browsing the GB makes you feel like you are shopping, RH or Pottery Barn. Also, I am a big fan of Olive and Cocoa, a mail order catalog. My most recent visit, I found several items from the catalog, in TGB and I'd rather buy local, then from a major catalog. This store is amazing, the staff is always eager to help. If you shop like me and don't need help, they are cool with that, too. I can spend my money, without any help. If you're decorating your home, or if you need a gift for mom, your BFF and the school teacher, I'm telling you to come here and shop. I challenge anyone to come here and try to leave without buying something. You'll always find an item you gotta have.

What surprised me most is that it's located in a small town in IL. This normally is the type of gift shop that you'd find in a trendy neighborhood in a big city. I was blown away by the selection of candles from two companies; Milkhouse and Malicious Women. If I had not already bought all of my holiday candles, I would have gone crazy with the scents they had to offer. When I need to re-stock my candles, it will be no internet ordering for me. I'll head down to RR and shop local. Being a foodie and one who enjoys cooking, I love a good cotton/flour sack dish towel. Especially those that have witty saying on them and I hit the jackpot here. So many to choose from. I had to stop myself at three. It also had an amazing collection of ornaments. They had a Grinch ornament that was extremely popular and they sold out it right before I arrived. It had a 2020 theme saying, it Stink, Stank, Stunk. However, I found two to add to my tree this year, so I was a happy shopper. The variety of merchandise goes on and on. They had treat jars for pets, caps, signs, soaps, birdhouses and much much more. The prices are very, very reasonable (better than any local store or Wayfair online buying). I was very surprised at the amazing selection. I fell in love with so many things. And, since I am not at all artistic, nor good at decorating, and I am a bit intimidated by decorating my home, I really appreciated the helpful owner. She shared her inspirational rooms and pics that looked they they came out of a magazine for little money. I never thought I could imitate such a thing in my own home, and I was quite skeptical to try, but, she helped me find some items to fix up my oldest daughters room. Wowee, with her help, the room completely transformed into something that looked like it came out of a magazine, for a little more than a hundred dollars. With that succes, I came back a second time for my youngest daughter's room (wanting to give her a room transformation for her 13th birthday). I gave the owner some pictures of the room with a small budget. Watching her put things together is inspiring and fun. She is truly talented and gifted, and she shares this gifting with those who shop in her store for FREE!!! I have been learning a lot from her, as she teaches how to put different things together. I need to post some pics of these room transformations. It truly does something therapeutic to have rooms transformed in your home. This is the most amazing shop!!!!! Their website states that substitutions will be of equal or higher value and that the overall theme and integrity of the arrangement will remain intact. The arrangement I purchased did not fulfill this promise. For example, in the website picture of the arrangement, there are 8-9 roses. In the delivered arrangement there are 3. Multiple other details are missing and the final product was a sad downgrade to the original. I don't take giving poor reviews lightly as I know this is someone's livelihood. I wrote the owner to express my dissatisfaction and was basically dismissed. I am posting the website arrangement and the delivered product. Buyer beware.

For over 15 years I have flowers requested for my husband's grave. I live in another state not…read moreaccessible to the state he's buried in. A Wildflower Shop has done really great on flower arrangements, delivering them and sending me a picture of the beautiful arrangements placed at his headstone. They have even done more. My husband and I had our last dog together and I requested a remembrance for him as well. They complied and I have been very pleased and happy to be one of their customers. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
