The drive is beautiful no matter what direction you're coming from. I live in St. Charles county and took one of the river ferry's across into Grafton. The River Road gets you to Alton in about 20 minutes. Both Grafton and Alton have great food and antique stores to choose from. I was warmly welcomed into the shop. One of the co-owners was there during my visit to assist and answer any questions. The main level is eclectic filled with furniture, knick knacks, and tchotchkes. There is also a smaller selection of clothing on the main floor. The upstairs is a vintage shoppers dream! Clothes, coats, shoes, and accessories. I'm am a fuller bodied person and sometimes have a hard time finding anything in my size. They are size inclusive and did carry true plus size clothing. I can't really speak to value. If I see something and love it, I just buy it. But I believe the pricing is fair considering the care and attention given to the quality of the items they have curated. Enjoy your day trip!

I've shopped full-price retail stores that are not this well organized. I liked that they have mens shirts separated by style. It made it easy to shop for short sleeve casual. I got lucky today and found three shirts. They were clean, had all their buttons and I didn't see any rips or holes. Once I rewash and iron them, they'' be ready to go. I went to use the self check-out and they had a young lady there who did it for you. She was great. She was perky, friendly, personable and professional. Other retailers would be lucky to have someone as good as her. I'm getting over my dislike of thrift shopping, so I'll be back.

Slow down as you approach the address, as it's set back from the street. Look for the large lit sign and banners, then pull in the shared driveway to a small private lot and get ready for a great shopping experience. The couple that operate the store were extremely friendly and helpful. They buy and sell! The store seems to specialize in glassware, ceramics, crystal, china, and other household items - but there are also toys, games, model trains, Disneyana, and even a beautiful Seeberg Jukebox waiting for their next proud owner! There's also some nice antique furniture, cabinets, chairs, bookcases and the like. No junk! Prices clearly marked! And the prices generally seemed pretty reasonable. And cabinets are unlocked so you can browse and select without needing to wait for the key!! We bought a full set of beautiful last century Christmas ornaments, an aluminum drinkware set, a 60's NASA commemorative glass, and a pair of beaded pears for about $30!! They offer a small parking lot, which is a plus in the city. The staff is warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The space is laid out very well. Each booth gives its own unique vibe. The majority of the sellers had very well organized spaces. I have been collecting vintage evening bags. I was able to find a few treasures to bring home with me. I also found a few unexpected treasures. I felt the prices were reasonable and comparable to other shops in the area. I plan to visit again soon to see what other treasures I can find. Pro tip: wear comfortable shoes. The spaces is very large and it's going to take a little time to cull through all of the treasures.
