There are dart boards and shuffleboard table, which were not in use. Our server was attentive and friendly, as were other staff we interacted with. Beer menu is extensive as you would imagine from the name, and they also have a separate cocktail menu (but we did try). Food was very good. I had The Cask. As long as you like goat cheese, you should like this sandwich. I loved it. Other meals included the pulled pork sandwich and Reuben. All were good. The order of garlic and rosemary fries are very crispy - good for snack or just pair with some beers. Overall, decent place and service. I would return!

We stumbled in for a late bite on a quiet winter carnival weekend and there were only a handful of patrons, mostly locals sitting at the bar. The bartender (and our server) Edward was friendly and kept an eye on us and made sure we had what we needed. The food is solidly average pub fare, not bad and perfectly serviceable, but it shouldn't be your primary objective if you're a foodie hunter like me. But on a main drag littered mostly with mediocre bar-restaurants charging tourist prices for tourist indifference, I'll take "just fine" as a win. I'm not much of a drinker but my husband liked his can of Copper Legend lager so much that he ordered another one to go. The location is conveniently central especially if you're staying on Canada St. or doing activities at the lake.

If you're looking to feed a large group of people in Lake George, and you want to sit by the water,…read moreThe Lagoon is an eminently solid choice. The menu is massive, and so you should easily be able to find something for everybody...unless that person is looking for something super healthy. The Lagoon has burgers, and pizza, and lobster boats, and fish and chips, and four kinds of mac and cheese, and the appetizer list consists of all the things, fried: brussels sprouts, mozzarella wedges, wings, and more. We ordered all three of those fried things I mentioned to start, buffalo mac and cheese, a pizza, fish and chips, a cheesesteak, chicken fingers and a Greek salad. Our server was super bubbly and brought us all the sauces and drinks and everything else we asked for. It isn't going to blow you away with their culinary innovation, but The Lagoon hits a certain spot, and can seat your whole party with a view. I'd do it again.

I was here on a Tuesday afternoon and generally felt unwanted. The staff would congregate in a…read morecorner inside and someone would only venture out to the patio if there was food to deliver to a table, but you would have difficulty getting their attention even as they were walking back. Ordered was the poutine, a turkey club, and the hot buttered lobster roll. I came here for the poutine, a previous review had been very complimentary. I was underwhelmed, the gravy was thin, the cheese and tenderloin scarce. I will give the fries credit, crispy and seasoned, they were a solid base. Being so close to Canada, I'd expect better. The club was loaded up with dry turkey and not enough mayonnaise to help balance that out, but again the tots were crispy and seasoned so they were a gem, possibly the best thing here (and that's not a compliment because they're clearly a prepackaged product). The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.

Both of my experiences are extremely different. My first time here I came for dinner with a group of friends and we had a phenomenal experience with our waitress Sue. She had great table side manors, she was efficient, and she was so nice and pleasant to speak with. The food was amazing I had a grilled chicken sandwich- my only complaint is that the avocado tasted weird but I just removed it from my sandwich. My friends enjoyed their hot dog meal, pizza, & nachos. We had a wonderful experience and loved our waitress sue so we decided to come back the following day. Our second day here we came for lunch and had a waitress named Jess. She was absolutely horrible and had no table side manors and was extremely rude and bothered to be working with us. I feel she was also racist or judgmental towards her co workers. I asked for the bacon cheeseburger with no onion tomato lettuce, & her response was, "so you want a plain cheeseburger?" & she looked at me like I asked a crazy question. I responded saying well I want the bacon on it so a bacon cheeseburger. My friend, wanted a plain burger with only lettuce and onion, & Jess said," so you want a plain burger with everything on it?" I'm not sure how much more clear we could have spoken to our waitress. She was very nasty. She also made a comment that the cooks are Spanish and she has no idea how she will translate our orders to the cooks. That is not the customers problem or concern and should not have been said to us. Jess never checked in at our table to see if we needed refills, napkins, etc. We needed a refill on drinks, so we found a waitress nearby and were asking for assistance. Jess saw this and came running over & said, " she has no idea what you're saying she doesn't speak English." & she then proceeded to get our drinks. I couldn't believe my ears, how incredibly rude was that comment. Her comment felt very judgmental and rude. She had no class whatsoever. At the end of our meal she came over to us and told us the dollar amount of our bill and walked away. We had to ask for a receipt. Absolutely ridiculous. If I ever came back to this place I want Sue as my waitress!!!! Thank you Sue for your over the top service and friendliness!!!! Also fyi**** 18% tip is automatically included in your bill.

Off-street parking (free) is slightly awkward but definitely appreciated. The brewery had a unique timely combination of decors. They were keeping their Oktoberfest decorations up, mixed with Halloween settings - pretty cool stuff. While the variety of layouts were fun, I was very satisfied to merely sit on a stool in the cozy bar area. Conversation at the bar among the other customers flowed as easily as the beer. There's a certain charm to a place when that happens, that I don't find at a lot of breweries. Some of the regulars told me about Adirondack's annual events other times of the year, which increased my interest here. Regrettably, the seasonal stouts were not available, so I was content to be satisfied with their Irish stout. My brewery buddy enjoyed his IPA equally. We didn't order food here, but we saw it delivered to nearby customers quite quickly after they ordered it. While there are a lot of restaurants and pubs in Lake George at which you can get your beers, this is the only brewery in the village. As far as I'm concerned, it's the only one they need.

Three mistakes makes it seem like she can't do anything right. They owe me $62.81, now I have to drive up there and pay as much in gas to get my money back

We sat at the bar, the menu choices and cocktails were a fabulous selection! Nikola was top notch customer service and informative of the restaurants history, cocktails, and menu selections. He even has his own Nikola Creations Cocktail Menu which he is slaying! We ordered Margarita and Country Sunset which was a frothy sip of watermelon heaven, best cocktail I had this three night stay! Dinner was equally delightful! I had Giddy Up Jalapeño that is the best Smash burger I have had the pleasure of consuming! Huge grilled chicken sandwich for my other half, juicy and flavorful! Loved the steak fries seasoned to perfection. Fries can be upgraded to Pickle seasoning or onion rings! Oh I missed that, would have definitely gone in a pickle bender! This was by far my favorite dinner and Cocktail of the week. The other watermelon cocktails I tried were dim in comparison to Nikola's masterpiece! The fish was just average, though. A couple of easy upgrades would take this place from good to great: * The only non-alcoholic beer option is Michelob Ultra, which is pretty rough. Overall a solid spot with some real highlights. Worth a visit, especially if you stick to the stronger items on the menu.

We were pleasantly surprised with both the high food quality and friendly, efficient service. Seated outside at a comfortable table we shared an excellent crab cake with our cocktails. The pulled chicken tacos and crab stuffed haddock were both excellent! Flavor, texture, doneness all top notch. We were caught up in the details of sauces, rice, and wonderful harcort verts (can't just call them a side of green beans). Unexpected in a hotel restaurant in a touristy area. All in all, with the July evening breeze blowing off the lake, a slice of lake view, and the bustling fellow visitors putting on a show just for us.... It was a very nice experience.
