Tried this place for the first time last night and had a great dinner. Our waitress Danielle was great, very attentive. Appetizers were well-prepared - calamari had a tasty balsamic reduction; jumbo shrimp cocktail was fresh and tasty; the mussels in red sauce were tender and delicious; hush puppies were meh; burrata did not disappoint! Entrees were also very good - ahi tuna was very good; tuna poke was also good; buddha bowl was excellent; salmon was seasoned nicely but small portion; mushroom flatbread was good - a little heavy on the balsamic glaze. I'd love to say good things about this place because I like the outside appearance and the feel. But the service is just bad. We're down for the Chowder fest and asked the outside bar bartender if they had Blue Moon - "Nope" she replied. Asked her if she had another brand "Nope" again. That's all. No reply with - here's a beer list or we have this instead. Just a blank stare. So went to the inside bar which was crowded. Waited 10 minutes and no bartender. Nice place to visit on the island. Outdoor seating and casual atmosphere with live music were great but also was a bit difficult to hear each other over the band. Service was attentive although there was a longer than usual break between appetizer and meal. The mussels pomodoro were ok, not the best but definitely not the worst. Crab cakes were good. Lobster Cobb salad was good. There are vegetarian options. A decent wine list and overall a good experience- we will be back. read more

Station 117 is a new restaurant in town. The food is very good-- however be prepare to wait 1 hour plus for your meal. We ordered simple fare; burgers; yet our food came 1 hr 15 mins after we ordered. In addition-- the women's bathroom had trash overflowing from the bins. We will try again in the fall post summer season; hoping it's a better experience. read more

Great location and decor. The waitress was very nice and apologetic that our food was taking so long. We had 4 adults and 2 children. Anyone dining with kids knows that you have a short window of time before the kids want out. The food was very good but the portions were small. The food was fabulous. We had the burrata, served on arugula with a balsamic glaze, the lobster Cobb salad which seemed like it had an entire lobster's worth of meat and the most delicious thick- cut bacon, and the duck breast special. The chef cooked the duck pink to perfection and it was served with goat cheese mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. All the plates were beautiful. I went with 4 stars because the service does not match the quality of the food. Though friendly, our servers missed a few things like an extra plate when we said we were sharing and tasting the wine when we ordered a bottle. By the way, the bottles are a great value. First off, I called to make a reservation but there was no answer. We get there and stood infront of the hostess patiently waiting. A couple went infront of us and the hostess took them first, we thought they cut us in line. When we were next she said there was going to be a 35-45 minute wait so I mentioned that I think the couple infront of us cut us in line. She was extremely rude to tell us they were notified that they were next, which I understand that was my fault to assume but she could have been nicer (it didn't seem that way it all it seemed that she completely ignored us). She was a huge bitch actually, she continued to be rude, I have never experienced something Iike that before. Definitely won't be coming here. read more

First time at the new LBI restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Almost didn't go be a use of other peoples reviews, but glad we did. Our dinners were delicious! Our server, Amanda J, was knowledgeable, attentive & pleasant. Loved the Ahi Tuna perfectly seared, crispy snap peas & seaweed salad. My husband had the Ribeye and he was very pleased. Others had the Burger and New England Clam dish...both were good. Nice decor and ambiance. Outside looked nice but already full tonight. Only downside was price of burger and lobster bisque was not great. We will definitely go back and recommend. read more

Had dinner here for the first time and everything was excellent from presentation to taste. The restaurant is beautiful the staff was was extremely pleasant from the hostess who sat us to our waitress Amanda J who's very sweet and and very attentive. Our meal was incredible and I asked Amanda to please let the chef know how much we enjoyed our meal and then a few minutes later Chef Shelby came to our table to thank us in person for the compliment. Beautiful restaurant and nice menu, I wish I could say more positive words, but our experience was awful. We had a party of 7, waited way longer than we were told, as we stared at empty tables that could surely be put together for us and the other large parties ahead of us. We literally waited 20 minutes for our cocktails and a good hour for our appetizers to arrive AND they arrived with our entrees. I felt bad getting angry at the waitress so we asked for the manager and they comped our appetizers to make up for the absurd wait. Anyways, appetizers were cold - the crab hush puppies were basically crab less and cold. Mussels were mostly closed and a pot of liquid. They clearly need better management with eyes all over the restaurant, an expediter who actually checks the food before it goes out and a more organized hosting system. Needless to say we will not be eating here again or recommending it. So sad because it really is a nice place and concept for LbI. read more

Went last night, sat inside a bit to loud. Food was amazing. I had the tuna, cooked perfectly. Service a little slow, but that's to be expected if I a new restaurant. It was a special occasion and could not get into Parker's, my wife suggested walking down the street to a restaurant she saw on he way in. Went to Station 117 and loved the way it looked thought we'd give it a try. Best desion we ever made. Had Kerry for our server. Food inventive and delicious. I was so impressed by the vegetarian options on the menu, it's not often you go to a restaurant that serves seafood and also offers an option like cashew-ricotta flatbread pizza. I ordered a chicken dish and basically I was served two fried chicken fingers with a tomato in the middle over pesto mashed potatoes totally disappointed . The food was very good but I have never seen so much wait staff doing absolutely nothing. It took fifteen minutes for someone to greet us after we were seated. I watched three tables served soup without a single spoon. Trying to flag someone down to get said spoon was impossible. Coffee was served without cream or sugar. We watched one young man walk around for an hour and all he did was run his hands through his hair. More training is necessary. read more

We ate at Station 117 last night and had a terrible experience. It started when they sat us for dinner, but they had run out of menus. The service was very slow and they even gave my husband his soup, but forgot to give him a spoon. When we finally got our dinners, the grouper in the salad was completely burned and the crab hushpuppies were very dry. We will not be returning. read more

Looks are deceiving could not be a truer statement than with Station 117. The place looks great from the outside, check. They have a live band outside, check. There are lots of seating options, check. Now here are some of the things that really did not check out. The wait was 1.5 hours and they do not accommodate seating outside requests if you have kids. The wait for food after it was ordered was 1 hour with no apology offered for the delay. They will not do substituting for fries with pasta and prefer to up-sell you sides instead. Who needs all that food! And the up-selling doesn't stop there. They will up-sell you on bread, sides for $30 meals since they come with nothing else and if someone tries to order an appetizer for a meal and even points to it on the menu, they will sell you the entree version instead and not offer to correct it later when it is brought to their attention. Reasoning being is the onus would have been on you to let them know when the meal arrived as if as a new customer you know the difference between the two! This place is clearly a tourist trap and the way everyone there operates from unfriendly seating hosts to the waiters is by design using the assumption that you are a transient tourist who will not likely be back. If you are one of those people who values authentic service and maintains a loyal list of places to revisit every weekend in the summer on the island, Station 117 will be a stop not to revisit again. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Their customer service is one of the worst I have experienced in all of my 25 years of life. On a Sunday night at 5pm, we called for a reservation for 9 people, they REFUSED to accomodate us and said they would have to split up our tight knit group of friends into tables of 4 and 5, we graciously obligedif . We then got a call moments later saying they would accomodate a party of 9 in ONE HOUR so we waited and came back after an hour. Upon arrival to the Station, we were told that they gave our table away. When confronted with the manager we asked why our table had been given away we were told that it was because the outdoor tables needed to be moved inside due to rain. However, we had been outdoors the entire time and there was no rain anywhere in sight - this was a blatant lie. Don't even get me started on the manager's attitude, she gaslighted us attempting to make us believe that we were the issue. Ive had a better experience dining in a station wagon. read more

Never again. Just like others say- kitchen is sloooow. It IS gorgeous inside. The food is so random. Lots of seafood. I'm not a seafood person and was looking for some choice of chicken. No dice. Ordered the ramen for $24... yes $24! (No meat). The steak is $26! With the style of restaurant you'd think s measly plate of bread would be complimentary. Nope, $2. The kids plate of pasta was so dried out that even visually you could see it was inedible. They should be embarrassed to send it out. The other kids plate of chicken fingers was terrible too. To the tune of $9.,Wendy's has more chicken in it. Mashed potatoes were not too warm obviously from sitting around and then the wait for the steak knife once the meal was served....! For the prices of this place, you'd expect better across the board. Bring a sweater if dining inside. (The outside dining is nice and plenty amount of tables available). read more

Generous with 3 stars. I've been here several times and have given them a break because they were new and because it's a beach restaurant. But tonight's experiences was too much. Simple order - well done burger, mayo on the side, extra pickles, fries. Burger came out medium rare, no pickles, no mayo. Fries had been put through the fryer at least twice to reheat them...inedible. To seal the deal the greenhouse tomato looked anemic. We're in NJ in the middle of tomato season for gosh sake. You'd think they'd splurge for some local tomatoes when they're charging $15 for a damn burger. I felt a little bad for the poorly trained waitress who came sheepishly to ask if i wanted to have the burger taken off the bill (to which I answered, "no"). Just take it off the bill or don't, but don't ask the customer if they want it taken off. They did take it off, but the sentiment was lost. It's a great space - outdoor dining, beautifully landscaped, but it can't make up for just not doing some basic stuff well. read more

Don't let the bad reviews scare you away from this place. I'll be honest the service was pretty slow, we waited 35 minutes for a table but they do text you when it's ready so your able to walk around and check out the stores nearby. It was almost exactly 35 minutes when we got the text. Once we sat the waitress was very friendly and was overall a great server. Our appetizers came out fairly quick. We got the shrimp cocktail and the fried calamari. The calamari had a very fried taste to it but the sauce was amazing. The shrimp cocktail had a little kick to it which I didn't mind but some might not like that. The main course is the reason why this got a four star review. It took a little longer to come out but the ahi tuna was cooked perfect. I asked for it rare and Grilled on the outside and raw in the middle the way a tuna steak should be cooked. The mashed potatoes were also amazing and my girlfriend had the burger which was also pretty good. Overall I think once this place gets more servers (they're fairly new) and better knowledge of seating this place could easily be one of the best in LBI. read more
