White pizza
Jessica Y.

We stopped by on a Saturday night with no reservation and although it was packed, we were seated pretty quickly. I started with the bring back the universe cocktail which was good and came with a disco ball charm, however I didn't taste much alcohol. For food, we started with the white pie which was good but not my favorite. For entree, my friend and I split the scallops and crab cakes. It was a good thing we did because the scallop entree was very tiny. It said it came with fennel but only came with potatoes and some veggies. The crab cake entree on the other hand was delicious and very filling! It was accompanied by peppers and artichokes and in a very tasty sauce. My other friend got the crab cake sandwich which she enjoyed and the crab manicotti which she was also good.

You can't beat the view at Bird & Betty's. The foods pretty good too!! The pole beans are a must have in my book. Service is always friendly and accommodating. Blackened mahi sandwich was great. Clam pizza is a standout. And the oysters are always fresh and delicious.

Bird and Betty's is the perfect dinner spot overlooking the water. I got the steamers, my family got the clam pie that looked sooo delicious. It seemed like a place that's pretty popping at night. I can't wait to come back here for a night out

Branzino - very good!

Awesome views, awesome deck, TVs, bar. Live music duo playing when we went Thursday night on the second floor. Sit in the shade or in the sun. I really liked my branzino. The scallops were pretty good. Service was attentive and friendly. The greeters, servers, waitresses are very young. Cocktails wouldn't be a reason I'd recommend going here. You pay for the lively scene with the amazing views and summer breeze.

Fried artichokes with crab meat

Overall average experience. Food wasn't the best. We started with the fried artichokes with crab meat. The portion size is massive, and the crab was really good. Kind of confusing because the artichoke isn't fried but either way it was ok. The Pork Milanese was good, but pretty thick. Good scene for dinner with a fun crew, we sat near the DJ and the music was a lot of fun.

Great seafood menu, great appetizers menu, great beer and cocktail selection and the view from the upstairs outdoor deck is phenomenal. We may have been seated in the midst of a wedding dinner with NJ hipsters and young, happy people who added to the fun atmosphere. We tried the clam pizza, pepperoni pizza, oysters and a mix of deep fried seafood that was spicy, do I had another IPA. Life is good in Beach Haven. Get in here.

Enjoyed our night out the Bird & Betty's. It was a Tuesday but nonetheless. Still was on point service was excellent the vibe was defenitly a down the shore vibe it was cool upstairs was more like a bar vibe I think they might do live music there not sure but all in all. The food was very good we had almost all the apps on the menu ( was w/ a whole lot of people lol ) Re ordered the mussels they were that good enjoyed it & the dessert were banging good everyone said they were good didn't want & when they came everyone had a spoon so go figure !!!

Clam pie ($21)

I want to like this place- the rooftop/fire pit is GREAT. The food experience downstairs was not great.. server was so nice but the moment appetizers arrived we had fruit flies in everything! Drinks and food.. legit everywhere! I killed about 10 of them. It was so gross. We immediately told the server who claimed to remove several items off the bill and moved us inside but we still somehow paid $200 check for 3 pizza pies, a few drinks and 1 chicken sandwich? The food generally is ok! I would absolutely only recommend for drinks upstairs!!!

Grapefruit spritz

Awesome meal at Bird and Betty's! First time back at this spot for a proper meal and we weren't disappointed. Was able to make a reservation on resy which was so convenient. Had two pizzas, margherita and mushroom which were delicious. The pork Milanese was huge and we shared it. Perfectly crispy and juicy. We also shared meatballs and frito misto. Cocktails were on point. I had a grapefruit appetizer. Our server, Severin was a delight. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great meal!

Rude and incompetent staff. Food was undercooked and drinks/service were poor in general. It's really just a bar for drunk college kids.

Breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? It's all yours anytime of the day. We opted for breakfast (although they…read moreare known for their wings). The young man who was our server was very friendly and helpful. The decor was seaside diner. Ordered at our table...a large western style omelette, fluffy and full of the extras, a French Toast egg sandwich (clean plate club), a plate with a pancake, over easy eggs, home fries and toast, all cooked perfectly. I had the triple decker grilled cheese with bacon and tomato (I think it was called the Happy Waitress), so good, bacon perfect. Recommended!

Stopped in at Chicken & Egg while in LBI with some friends. I ordered the Redneck Benedict, which…read moresounded like a fun twist on a classic, but it ended up being just okay. The flavors were a little bland and the chicken was cut too thick, which made it less enjoyable to eat. The home fries that came with it were also disappointing -- they seemed reheated rather than freshly made, and just didn't have that crisp, flavorful kick you hope for at a breakfast spot. My friends had different dishes, but their reactions were similar -- nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We all left feeling like the food was a little underwhelming overall. The bathroom was serviceable but not especially clean, and while the service was fine, it wasn't anything that stood out as particularly attentive or warm. On the positive side, the decor was pleasant and gave the place a nice atmosphere. Honestly, that was probably the highlight of the experience for me. If Yelp allowed half-star ratings, I'd give it a 3.5 just for the vibe. All in all, Chicken & Egg isn't a bad place, but it didn't really impress. With so many options around, it's not somewhere I'd rush back to, but I wouldn't call it a total miss either -- more middle of the road.

Food is always good and always with very friendly and helpful servers…read more I just wish restaurants like this would stop adding a 3% Surcharge for credit cards. Who is going to be paying cash for a place whose entrees are @ $38 ??? Our bill was $277 before the Surcharge. Just build it into your cost and show it on your menu.

The service was friendly while the food came out fast. For a starter, a dozen oysters were ordered. The oyster on the day I attended were from Chincoteague. They were extremely large and came out well chilled. These were tasty and appeared very fresh. For an entrée, I had the grilled swordfish. It came with an avocado shrimp salad and haricot verts. There was also an herb butter present on the fish. The piece of fish was on the smaller end but cooked ideally. The flavor was alright. The butter was tasted, but not enough seasoning was present on the fish. It tasted a little bland. The two sides also lacked in quantity. The avocado shrimp was also just decent. I also tried a crab cake, which was rather large. Again, this was not bad. Three more items I tried were scallop risotto, coconut rice and the old beach haven spaghetti. Yet again, all three were okay, but the spaghetti definitely was the preferred choice. The scallops were not cooked the best and was plain too as well as the coconut rice. Will I go back? Possibly.

Once again Blue Water Cafe was everything I expect it to be. Came here again on our annual outing…read morewith the family. Weather has been crappy here all week so we were able to get a table immediately. I love that it's BYOB here both to save a little money and to bring wine we know we're going to love. We were seated at the same table as last year (odd coincidence) and started looking over the menu when they brought over an ice bucket for our wine (a nice Italian rosé). For appetizers my daughter and I both got a bowl (you heard me, a bowl) of the best clam chowder I've had on the Island, the rest of the crowd had wedge salads or house salads. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best clam chowder I've had here...not even close. This year I went with the seafood scampi special - shrimp, crab, and scallops over angel hair. Wifey had the stuffed shrimp special, my son had the salmon picatta, daughter had the shrimp pomodoro, and her fiancé had the grilled salmon. Five meals of perfection. Just the right serving size, excellent flavors, great service. Keep in mind they don't take reservations so on a normal night we would have waited. Also, limited parking so pay attention to the signs on the streets. This is a great place to eat, but it can get a little loud inside. 100% recommend! P.s. my son lost his ear buds here tonight, but when he called they had already found them and put them aside for him. We just stopped by on the way back from Bay Village and picked them up.

The salmon was delicious too and veggies were fresh. Lots of outdoor seating as well as a great patio while you wait for a table where you can also order a drink.
