I hired Statewide Remodeling through Home Depot, thinking the association would mean quality service and professionalism. I was quoted over $12,000 for a very basic shower remodel, and while this was steep, I went forward assuming I'd be taken care of due to the Home Depot connection. The remodel was completed in July 2024, but within two months, the top hinge on the shower door failed, causing it to come off and rest dangerously on the floor. It took ten days of calling and messaging multiple contacts with no central point of communication before a technician finally arrived. The technician was shocked it took so long, calling it a major safety hazard. The real nightmare began in October when, less than a month after the first repair, the door started loosening again. After sending messages on Thursday and Friday with no response, the door shattered Saturday night while I was in the bathroom, leaving me with cuts on my legs. I sent photos to Statewide Remodeling with no immediate reply, and despite the injury and scattered glass, there was still no urgent response. By Monday, the same contact who had been unresponsive offered to replace the door "at no cost." Given that I had just had this remodel done, this response was insulting and inadequate. To make matters worse, glass was spread all over my bathroom in fine, hazardous shards. My daughter, who I asked to bring me shoes to leave the bathroom safely, was also cut. Who is responsible for the clean up of dangerous powder-like glass, there was no assistance offered, leaving us to manage this on our own. I went and met with a store manager manager at the Home Depot where I first met Statewide Remodeling, she asked me to send a detailed email with pictures etc, which I promptly sent, 4 days later no response from her or Home Depot. Despite my repeated calls, texts, and even multiple emails to the CEO, I've had no response. I do not trust the same people to come and put a new shower door up. This is a safety issue. This experience has been beyond frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider hiring Statewide Remodeling; my experience has shown they're unresponsive, unprofessional, and unsafe. read more

We just had a leak in our 1 year old walkin shower. Called on Monday and had difficulty finding someone to talk to so I left messages. They called me Tuesday morning and scheduled me for the next day with their master plumber. He came this morning, found the problem which was an easy fix and we are good to go. Do not work with this company. They sell your information to cold callers. They call you from strange numbers and try to set up appointments based on your inquiry into remodeling, which is of course is a lie. So not respond to their "service opportunities." Original review... We installed patio screens in 2018, installation was not smooth and we were tricked into believing that Statewide would make it right. Fast forward through a half of year of service request, 2years of no work during the pandemic(2018-2020), and a full screen replacement and it still doesn't operate correctly. The warranty repair guys didn't try to screws down the metal side post, they left all the screws on my yard and patio so I collected them and put them on the window. We couldn't get a hold of the right person at San Antonio office, so we started to contact the Corporate office, they were extremely professional but they only sent service requests to the San Antonio office who refuse to take action or even call us back. Bottom line, screens look amazing but they never functioned as they were never installed correctly. Statewide refuse to resolve the problem and we're feed up with the negligence. Very unfortunate that this organization spends all its time chasing new customers and refuse to acknowledge existing one. Update... Nov 10 2021, we had Mr. Garcia assigned to us and a replacement was just aproved on Sep 21st after sooooooooo many phone calls, they said they had to order everything again and still waiting. I called to get an estimate. The lady was super nice took all my information yet nobody showed up tonight, no call or email. I then called the company and spoke with a Freddy in sales. He saw my information and that someone was to have shown today at 6PM. He said he or the sales rep would call me. In the end nobody called. Wish I had read these reviews before I had my bathroom done by Statewide through Home Depot. They did a good job but I felt uncomfortable with the process. Installer was slow, was at my house from 8:30 to 7:30 at night some days. It took two weeks and they don't tell you ahead of time that doesn't include the time for the glass installation. They LIED to me about sending me a gift card. (Maybe to keep me from cancelling my contact?). I would say 5 stars for the finished product, which was overpriced. But zero stars for the process which took too long and was way too stressful. Find another place. They have poor ratings for a reason. read more

Do not trust this company. After 71/2 months of delays, excuses and mistakes Statewide Remodeling cancelled our contract without notice or explanation. I only learned this when I contacted customer service to see when the installation would occur. After following up with customer service I was informed several days later that the roof we contracted for was no longer available. If you are looking for any type of remodel, stay away from Statewide Remodeling! This is what you are left with after spending $33k! Shower/tub combo was converted to a larger shower. The empty space on the right was supposed to be a linen closet. Aren't closets enclosed? During consult the sales rep told us we would have to paint! Seemed a little odd but no biggie. We still have original paint cans from when we moved in. Easily match at Lowe's. While he was drafting the 30 page contract he secretly added "no tape, no texture, no paint" Project manager said they can complete the job for an additional $4k! So ya. read more

If I could do ZERO stars I would. very high pressure sales, the rep left a sales packet at my home that had all the in and outs of statewide. Every objection has a specific response. The pricing looks like a 200+% of retail, a faucet is over $1500 but they give you all these discounts. Once you sign up good luck getting in touch with someone. We paid close to 20K for a new bathroom. It had several issues with the installation and they had to come re-do the entire job, total of 6 weeks for both jobs. Now the grouting has cracked in the corners of the shower. I started calling the end of Feb 2021. They sent a guy on April 9 who agreed that they needed to take out the grouting and redo the grout. We showed him where we have grout left from the original job. He said we would hear from someone within 2 weeks. I have called every Monday since and still have not had anyone call us back. When I called today, it went to voicemail and the VM message said the mailbox was not set up. So now I have no way to contact them and still have a messed up shower. Beyond terrible estimating/sales experience, and then I was charged erroneously before a charge should have EVER hit my account. Outrageously expensive and they use high pressure sales tactics that do not respect the consumer's need to take time to make a decision ("Sign on the dotted line today for a discount, but the price goes up if I walk out."). When I later texted the salesperson (K.J.) to cancel on the same day as his visit, he tried to talk me out of it via text messages. I told him I still wanted to cancel and asked him to let me know if there was anything else I needed to do to cancel. He never replied, but I got a bill on my credit card two weeks later for $15,000, so I was charged without this company having done ANY work. (We hadn't even set a DATE to do the work!) I had to call the company back to cancel the transaction, even tough I had already had an understanding that nothing would be charged. Really just a terrible experience all the way around. Would never recommend them to anyone--even if you can afford the price tag. read more

We contacted Statewide through Home Depot for an estimate on bathroom remodeling for an elderly family member with mobility problems. The salesman came to our house, we sat through an hour-long presentation on the shower and tub choices. He had already made it clear that he required all "decision-makers" of the household to be present and that he is a "closer". He quoted us a price for changing an existing shower into a safety shower. The quote was not itemized, just a "today only" price and a 30 day price. This was our first estimate and we went with them first on the basis of the Home Depot reputation. When we told him again we were getting other quotes he told us he doesn't make his money on "be backs" and he wasn't even going to leave his card since we didn't buy right then .We also wanted to speak with a sibling who lives out of state to which he stated 'Oh, so all the decision makers are not here with us as you said they were on the phone." He said he wasn't going to apologize for asking for our business. His irrational anger that we weren't buying right then made us scared to let the company know what happened. He does know where we live. I have since seen similar reviews on the San Antonio company. The product may be good, but the pricing seems high and the sales tactics are of the old school, hard sale, used car salesman, bully type. Statewide Remodeling remodeled our bathroom for us. We booked them through our local Home Depot. They did an incredible job both in their customer service and workmanship. Danny was the Site Manager and Elmer was the contractor. Danny was very polite and easy to work with. He kept our job running smoothly and went above and beyond to ensure we finished on time. Elmer was very polite as well and has an extraordinary eye for detail. I can't express enough how thankful we are that we found out about Statewide. Great experience with Statewide remodeling! Was at Home Depot, in January 2017, day dreaming about getting a walk in shower. We saw the lady at Home Depot offering a free estimate for showers. Wow! My wife and I accepted the appointment that same afternoon. The young man Jaime Rosales stopped by on time for our scheduled appointment, and we listened to his offer. He was an excellent professional salesman. We liked the materials that were offered and the design of the shower. We agreed to fill out and application and in an hour and a half we were on the way for our redesigned walk in shower. Next we set up a demo day and things got going. James Stevens and his son Daniel got things rolling and in half a day the bathroom had been cleaned out of the old shower and tub. I liked how they cleaned up the area, also I was impressed how they covered the work area and the in and out path way. During this time the Field Manager Danny Ramirez called and said he would be by to see how things went. He also said if there was anything that we needed just to call him. After the demo was done the plumber Andy showed up to set up the water lines and faucet and got it ready for the City Inspection. Once the city inspected the water lines and the faucet and framing the area the inspector gladly signed off on the work. After the inspection things really started going fast. Framing continued, more measurements and mounting beautiful walls and trim around the walls. As things started wrapping up, we didn't necessarily like the caddies for the shower walls. I discussed the situation with Jerry Rodriguez and he got the caddies we liked . Then the most important thing, the City Inspector signed off on the work. Also any job needs someone that makes sure things are going right and complete. I feel that person is Danny Ramirez. Bathroom remodeling was an excellent experience. David was great at the initial visit when we signed up. He was thorough, explained all of the products and what would take place during the build. All went perfectly, with the exception of one unexpected issue, which was brought to our attention, then promptly fixed. A great experience all the way around, considering I had anxiety about the whole thing and may not have been the best client. All personnel were professional, timely, and clean. Well, let me start by saying that this was my first customer experience with Statewide Remodeling. Simply put, they are a high quality and with high standards company. Their communication is outstanding. I received weekly calls from their business office letting me know the status of receipt of my materials. Furthermore, we received weekly and sooner inspections from their site manager, Danny, and simply left us very impressed. The work done for us were 2.5 baths and including tile work. Graham is a pure artist with regards to his design work and attention to detail. His work is pure artistry!! The plumbing and electrical subcontractors hired by Statewide are also very superior. If I could I'd give ZERO stars!! Statewide Remodeling doesn't stand behind their work. They installed a walk-in shower in my home in February 2014. The grout won't stay set and there's a concern of moisture under the tile. Could be an improper install, could be a leak, could be nothing. Statewide won't even assess the problem at no charge because I wasn't the homeowner at time of installed a little more than a year ago! You either guarantee your work or you don't. Statewide Remodeling does not get a good review from us.---We wanted a simple bathroom shower retile with new shower door and new shower faucet head---The first time they did it before the door was installed I told the project manager that the tile and grout did not look even to me and seemed to be more in 3D thats how bad of a job was done--He (Chris Priestly) said he would send his top tile guy out to look at it---Felipe---thank goodness, Felipe told him he had to be redone...so a demo was done again and Felipe installed a new shower with a new shower pan and low and behold --- it doesn't drain!!! Even though the shower pan is made in a slanted position to prevent this---it still doesn't drain --I have a saucer effect going on in my shower with always a half inch of water standing in the middle of the shower !! Sorry I ever contacted them through Home Depot---Now Mr. Priestly won't come back out or communicate with us if this will ever be fixed---said I had a year warranty--guess I have to wait a year to get it fixed --if that!!!
