They could not understand what we wanted done and how to do it. Claims to be a carpenter...sorry man, but you ain't no carpenter! After mediation was completed, the technician installed and uninstalled the kitchen cabinets three times before coming close to getting it right. Total time to finish part of kitchen, small bathroom and coat closet - three months! Hell, whole houses can be done in that amount of time. They threw away existing pieces and parts and installed mismatched, wrong color, and ill fitting parts instead. All in all a nightmare to keep after them, cater to their irregular schedule, promised arrivals and work days. Beware!

Kyle came out and said that I needed an entire new AC unit and that the ductwork in the attic didn't look good. The total cost is over 26k and the bandaid fix was 2,500. I have been absolutely blown away by the service from A Step Above…read more A few years ago, they completed a roof patch for me after the hurricane hit Las Vegas. That repair held up for two years, but it was finally time to replace my aging shingles. From the very beginning, the experience was outstanding. Kimberley in the office was incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. She got me scheduled for a quote right away and guided me through the entire process, making everything feel simple and stress-free. She's my new best friend. Love chatting with her! Jordan was our sales representative, and he was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, answered every question my partner and I had, brought samples so we could compare options, and never once pressured us into unnecessary upgrades. We always felt informed, not sold to. Jose, our foreman, made sure everything was completed correctly and kept us updated throughout the installation. His communication with the crew was excellent, and I was amazed they completed the entire roof in just two days. What an incredible team. They made what could have been a stressful, expensive project feel easy from start to finish. While their quote wasn't the lowest, I truly believe you get what you pay for. Their communication was exceptional, the workmanship was top-notch, and the quality of the shingles was exactly what I was hoping for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A Step Above to anyone looking for a roofing company they can trust. Photos attached of my old brown shingles to a modern grey-brown.

July 6th, 2026, Technician Travis and company installed a mini split system in my Henderson, NV…read moregarage. GREAT JOB guys. I asked, as they were wrapping up, about a surge protector...They did not install a surge protector for my "HIGH $$" mini split, which I found kind of odd. Travis said he'd relay the inquiry to the "Office". After the technician left my property, I promptly, same day, inquired about a surge protector. A couple of weeks went by; after the install and I got several text messages requesting a google review . . . So here it is. GREAT Job on the installers part....Different story for the "Team" sitting on their duffs, in the office, enjoying the air conditioning, Your review: F A I L. After finally speaking with a real person, in the office of Ambient Edge, who didn't hesitate to inform me that 90% of their mini-split customers opt for a surge protector, I asked for a quote to get my surge protector installation. I've basically been "Ghosted" for over a month now, so without any other "Ambient Edge" options, I CALLED AN ELECTRICIAN, who IMMEDIATELY SCHEDULED my service request. Today, I'm happy to report, I HAVE A WHOLE HOME SURGE PROTECTOR. A really really simple job that can be accomplished, literally in minutes, but Ambient Edge "Office Guys" apparently aren't capable of handling this "Service after the sale" . . . Thus the four star vs five star review. If there was a separate review for the guys sitting in the air conditioning, during this triple-digit season in Las Vegas, while the worker B's are out there busting their tales, the Office would get a Negative Five review. Thanks Ambient Edge Techs for your professionalism and Great Work (Travis) and THANKS FOR NOTHING Ambient Edge Office guys, chilling in your chairs, waiting for the next call. Yea, I'm a bit frustrated. Oh well . . . Live and Learn y'all, Roll the Dice and maybe you'll get FULL SERVICE AFTER THE SALE (they got my money and ghosted me)

I explained what I needed again but he spent most of the time just talking at me trying upsell the work. When it was clear the upsell wasn't what I was looking for, he moved towards charging me $99 for the estimate. I had it in writing that the estimate was free from the guys who booked me. I told him that and he went to call the office. He came back and tried to charge me $49 instead because "I don't work for free". I told him I don't know what the miscommunication was but that I was never told about a fee for the estimate and would not be giving him my card. The interaction turned pretty uncomfortable from that point and he just walked out. Thank goodness I received 4 other quotes to install the ~$2k system for around $700-900. Hawthorne was trying to upsell a comparable system + install for $11k.
