It came back to me like new. Last week I dropped off my daughter's Dyson and picked it up today and it's also like brand new. Awesome mom and pop vacuum repair shop. My mom ran over a string and fried something in the vacuum cleaner. It's been a very reliable model and I didn't want to throw it away like so many people do at a whim nowadays. I took a chance and found SI vacuum on google (it wasn't on the yelp radar though). The owner is a great old school kinda guy. He very bluntly diagnosed my problem based on the story. It was a burnt out belt. $25 and a few choice observations later ("unlike now, back then a tattoo meant you were in prison or in the service") my vacuum was repaired and ready to pick up in under an hour. This place is a fraud !! We went in to fix our Dyson vacuum and they charged us $90 for the repair a few weeks later the vacuum wasn't working we brought in the vacuum for Sal to fix again and he said it was not repairable and he was going to throw out the vacuum and dispose it A few days later went back to the store to purchase a new vacuum and we saw a price tag on the Dyson vacuum that Sal said was unsalvageable and that he disposed the vacuum We let that go and purchased a 300 titan vacuum Sal could not find the box and we purchased the unit from the floor model Sal said that if we didn't like it we can replace it with a another vacuum the titan ended up being to rough for our carpet floors destroying them and most importantly was too loud for our autistic 9 year old daughter She was not able to handle the sounds of the vacuum we only used the vacuum for a few minutes 1 time We then called Sal to explain this to him and asked if we could exchange this titan vacuum for anything else He refused and was very nasty and said that we did not have Box and that it was our fault for not contacting him within 30 days He never told us about the 30 days and told us that we should have opened our eyes and checked his store where there was a small sign Sal comes off as a helping Mom and Pop family business on Forest Ave but in turn he acted as if he was a big corporation and we were just a nobody This business is a disgrace and is not a friend to the autism community. So beware do not go to this business if you have a special needs child. Brought two vacuums into this store for repair. Was thrilled to support a local business, totally old school mom and pop type of shop. The owner spent about an hour teaching me about vaccums: stand ups, canisters, bagless vs. bags, that the latest model ball Dyson's break down more frequently, the best attachments to use for different jobs (area rugs, stairs, etc). You can tell he really has decades of expertise and wants to share it when customers come in the door. I soaked up every minute in here, and he repaired my vacuum on site while I waited (the other one within 30 seconds he told me to toss out). Awesome. read more

Called on a Friday afternoon and spoke to Vinny. Told him I had a problem with my central vac. No suction and thought the clog was somewhere in the wall. He sent Mike on Saturday morning. He was amazing. Found a sock stuck in the bend in the pipe. Works like new!!!!! read more
