Bullet Boots - How much do you love Dolly?

We were passing through the area on a trip and planned to stop in as we've been following Bullet…read moreBoots on social media for a long time. Our goal was to create custom cowboy hats for another trip coming up. We came in with inspo pics and a good idea of what we wanted. My friend was able to make a beautiful hat, unfortunately they did not have my size hat in my preferred color. They have a lot of nice embellishments and options to design them, but they said they run out of things quickly so it's definitely hit or miss. If you have a specific design idea in mind, I'd HIGHLY recommend calling and confirming availability first so you don't go home empty handed like I did. Prepare to spend at least 2 hours and at least $150 for a custom cowboy hat. Staff was kind and the boutique is cute

Cute boutique with a country vibe, good for bachelorettes or trips to Nashville. The quality of the…read moreclothing is subpar at best. They also do not run true to size. Got a skirt with some fringe that runs very small. Normally I'm a medium and a large didn't even zipper. I gave it to my friend for a bachelorette party (she is half my size-very tiny girl) the skirt immediately broke & when I called the store to return or exchange it they wouldn't let me. I told them it was broke and still had the tag on it and they would not work with me at all bc it was past the exchange date (no returns allowed) even tho it was unworn with the tag....Horrible return policy and horrible quality! I'm sure other items have better quality but after my experience I will not be returning. I was excited for the store when I first walked in but it was a huge disappointment.

No 165 - Best gift shop on the high street and so much holiday spirit!

I did not know about this shop until very recently (I only went to Maplewood for the first time a few months ago). Before talking about the shop itself, I will say that during my recent visit the staff was very nice (this included two young women and one older one - possibly the owner?). I overheard them having several conversations with customers and they all seemed very familiar and friendly. Of course, this is just my experience, so take that as you will. No. 165 (so named for the building number) is an absolutely adorable, comfortable and whimsical shop in Maplewood. They sell all sorts of items ranging from novelty items, candy, clothes, stationary, dish towels, purses, soaps and more. Everything in the shop is either meant to be charming, beautiful or tongue-in-cheek and I love that combination. Interestingly, I saw a note on the counter that indicated at some point last year this shop was going to close, but a strong reaction from the neighborhood helped the owner to change their mind and keep the shop open. What that meant on a practical level is that during my visit a lot of the shelves were definitely more bare than I think they would normally be. This decision is recent, so I am hoping that means in the next couple months the store will restock and have more to offer than it already has. If you're in the area, definitely make it a point to visit No. 165!
