I recently purchased a 2012 Aprilia Tuono from State 8 approximately 2 weeks ago. I am writing this message to you as I wanted you to know directly about my experience. I have purchased many vehicles (cars and motorcycles) from many other dealers (both here and in NY where I am from) over many years. I have to tell you that my experience at State 8 was probably the best experience I have had, period. One of the aspects of walking into a dealership that drives me crazy is feeling pressure, or selling pressure from the salespeople. There was absolutely none of that. While Shawn was always in touch with my situation (a trade in with negative equity) he always displayed superior professionalism while doing his best to ensure I was happy and made a deal that met the needs of the both of us. He was terrific and continues to be terrific. Once the purchase was complete, I had the opportunity to meet with Ray Notarian. Ray is a true asset at your dealership. His knowledge and his passion for what he does made my experience that much better. He took as much time as I needed explaining the bike to me. I remember him telling me the day I drove off the lot that I could call him or email him anytime for anything. I thought to myself, that's a nice thing to say, but was there really anything behind that. Well, I have taken him up on that in these past few weeks and he was not kidding. He has treated me with the same respect and responsiveness ever since the first day in the dealership. Impressive to say the least. I truly feel that the customer service has actually gotten better after I left the lot, which is rare. I trust everything Ray tells me and I truly feel that he has my best interest in hand when he is dealing with me. He is responsive, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I also have to commend Jason in the service area. It appears that there has been a recent product recall having something to do with the coolant system. Jason had called me last week to fill me in. I was expecting him to tell me that I had to get it in to the shop at my convenience, but he was adamant that he wanted to do this for me ASAP as he didn't want anything to happen to me on the bike or to the bike itself. In addition, which I am so grateful for, he offered to pick up the bike and return it to my home as my schedule would have been a problem in getting the bike to you guys, I've never seen this before. Great stuff. In summary, given the experience I have had (and ongoing) there is no need to ever go to any other dealer for any motorcycle needs. You truly have put together an fantastic customer service team and with Ray there doing what he does, you really get the sense that State 8 really wants to make its customers happy, especially since they all have the same passion of riding as its customer do. If you want a genuine and sincere sales experience, buy from State 8. My boyfriend purchased a 2015 Yamaha R1M that we were able to pick up a couple weeks ago. When he found out which dealerships were getting them, he got in contact with Lou right away and paid the required deposit. Lou was very loyal to my boyfriend through the entire process from start to finish, even though there had been a couple generous offers made to the dealership for the bike. We live in Columbus and the evening we came to town to finalize the sale and bring our new baby home, I would've never guessed such a welcome would occur!!! The dealership, all personnel involved- including service (a shout out to Ray and Stew), customers in the store, everyone greeted us with a smile and/or hand shake and made us feel so special. They all shared the experience with us, it was incredible! I have...we have....never experienced anything like it. At one point, I felt like I was dreaming....that surreal feeling could be attributed to seeing the R1M for the first time b/c she is so precious! Had the dealership not been overly concerned with customer service, I would not be taking the time out of my day to make sure they get the acknowledgement and recognition they deserve! Hands down, if you are looking to buy a motorcycle...start with State 8 Motorcycles! Just to mention, after reading the other recent review, maybe don't go in with an egotistic deserving attitude and you will walk out with some items of appreciation. It is obvious; State 8 Motorcycles is not money hungry or they wouldn't of been so quick to tell this other reviewer "no" and walk away from a sale so easily. But, they can and they will. State 8 Motorcycles desires an overall quality sales experience for their customers and that is their main priority, not the money. We couldn't thank you guys enough! So first off I'd like to say that Sanjeev at State 8 wasn't a bad guy at all. Anyways, I see a bike online and Sanjeev was the one to call me and get the ball rolling. So I end up going there and picking the bike up, and the entire time everyone was super nice and it seemed like I was in good hands. Well today, (mind you I picked the bike up yesterday the 10th of March) I started to fully go through the bike since I didn't really have time to at the dealership which I should have done. I found a few things that I wasn't aware of that they most definitely should have noticed. First off was the back rim on my GSX-R 1000 was bent, which to me is a major pet peeve ESPECIALLY whenever I find something that will end up costing me a couple of thousand dollars to replace... and that's even if you can find that exact rim... so not a good start at all. The second... THE second, was a bag of weed in the passenger seat like come on man seriously? A bag of weed? What if I got pulled over and they smelled that? Who would be liable for that, at that moment? Not you guys, ME... just imagine if I had been arrested for that on the off chance, I'd be completely lost and screwed for something I had no idea over... I'll add a photo of it just so y'all know it's real... like what the hell guys... And the only reason I just found out about all of this is because of my work schedule, and today was the day that I finally had a little under an hour to actually go through the bike completely... read more

Recently purchased a used bike from them. Not me, the salesman or a friend who was a harley technician could turn the key to start it. Took the bike home anyways betting that some lubricant would fix it, sure enough, no. Was told by the manager that "i must have broken it, because every bike goes through an extensive inspection before being sold". After going back and forth for weeks, they ended up replacing the one lock cylinder. I now have to carry 2 keys everywhere i go. I over payed for the bike thinking that buying it from a reputable dealership would work in my favor if something like this happened. Im not sure if the service department is full of idiots who cant identify a faulty lock cylinder, or they just didn't want to spend the money to replace a known broken part. The bike also had over 10 screws missing from the plastics which caused my front fender to rip off on the highway! Either way i got screwed and will never buy from them again. Multiple sales have been lost, not only by me, but friends and family. $300 in parts probably cost them $30k in bike sales. Im not sure how this business stays afloat. read more

This place is a complete joke. So I call into the store and my sales associate was Slaghter. I tell him what I'm looking for and he said they have it and told me a price. The price was higher than I was willing to pay so I asked him if I found it cheaper at a different dealer would they price match. He said they would if it was a legit out the door price. I told him I would call him back in an hour or so and we hung up. I call him back after I found a way cheaper price and he had nothing but an attitude. I politely asked him if he was still going to price match and he said no that I should just go with the other place. I then asked to talk to a manager and he said no that they were all busy then hung up on me. This place is a complete rip off with high prices and poor customer service!! read more

I bought my nighthawk 250cc from State 8. I was a little nervous at first being a girl and going into a buying situation that was foreign to me, but I left there very pleased. My salesmen was Russ he was very nice and helpful. He spent a ton of time showing me bikes and helped me make up my mind but no pressure. Excellent! Christian Rosetti is a amazing sales person who made everything simple and clear. All questions were answered in a very timely and straightforward manner.
