Very tasty sandwiches and helpful staff. Not much seating though. When entering, the staff immediately came up and gave a quick tour, letting us know how to order. I got the meatball sandwich (don't remember the name) and the stasios sandwich (cold cuts). The meatball sandwich was delicious - very good meatballs and sauce, and the addition of a spicy sausage was great. They allowed me to add some lettuce too, which was nice. I liked the stasios well enough, but actually it was way better in my opinion an hour later ( I was too full to finish at the time) when the meat was room temperature. What a great find. My husband and I were in the area looking for a new place for lunch. We ended at Stacio's.. I was impressed from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted and asked if this was our first visit. It was so a young woman came from around the counter and showed us what we needed to do to order and explained the shop. She was very friendly. My brother had been raving about Stasio's for the longest time, so one weekend, we finally went together as a family. It was brunch time, so the place was packed, but they're clearly prepared for the rush. Despite how busy it was, our food still came out fast and fresh--service was absolutely top-notch. Even though they offer both indoor and outdoor seating, nearly every spot was taken (a sure sign of how amazing this place is). Thankfully, we managed to find a few seats together. The vibe was fantastic--open and bright with tons of natural light, and the happy buzz of people enjoying their meals. I ordered The Flag sandwich and added prosciutto. Oh. My. God. It was AMAZING. Everything--from the bread to the fillings--was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and balanced. I can confidently say it's now my favorite Caprese sandwich in town. Of course, I had to try their Italian coffee. I went with an iced latte, and it was perfection. You can tell this is high-quality coffee from the first sip. I also loved how they keep it traditional: no syrups or sauces, just coffee and milk (though they do offer nondairy milk upon request). You can also sweeten it yourself if needed. Stasio's is also part market, so there's plenty to explore, from imported Italian products to freshly made sides like salads and marinated olives. Before leaving, I couldn't resist trying one of their desserts, so I got a chocolate cannoli. Like everything else I tried, it was absolutely delicious--the perfect finish to an incredible meal. You literally can't go wrong at Stasio's. Every single thing I tried was outstanding. The combination of high-quality food, generous portions, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere makes this spot a must-visit. No wonder they're always packed! I just landed in Orlando for a conference this week. Before checking into my hotel, I thought I would enjoy my free day today by going outside my immediate and grab a bite with my nephew who lives here. We actually didn't have much time since he had to go to work, so we figured we would do takeout. We were in the mood for a sandwich so I started searching for "best sandwiches". Every listing and article I found mentioned Stasio's so we decided to give it a shot. The store is like a deli with groceries in the front and the sandwich counter in the back. The menu is simple and diverse- breakfast and lunch sandwiches are offered. We ended up ordering five sandwiches. The sandwiches, neatly wrapped, were warm and smelled so good. We shared The Steak Sandwich at the counter space available by the window; and later I had the Lou Special, made with grilled chicken. The sandwiches were top notch with great bread and stuffed generously with tender, juicy protein and assorted veggies, depending on the sandwich. I wish I could've tried more because the two I enjoyed were so moist, delicious, and comforting. I basically ate 1.5 sandwiches and felt satisfied without feeling heavy. The sandwiches are quite big and very good. We could have eaten all five together but my nephew took the other sandwiches back to share with his siblings. There aren't many things that bring me more joy than a good sandwich and man does this place have good sandwiches . We stumbled in on a Saturday afternoon with half of the city of Orlando but the staff in this place were cool as cucumbers. On a crazy busy Saturday someone came from behind the counter to explain how the shop works to any person who said it was their first time coming in. That's customer service! First thing that hit you when you walk in is the aroma it is like you could taste the deliciousness. Everything looks so good. They have a deli area a dessert area pre-packaged foods, drinks, and Italian foods and specialties. The sandwiches are fresh made as is the bread and baked right there at the store and they are all delicious. The Italian is really good. The rolls are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are filled with Yummies. The meatball sub has tons of cheese and sauce and delicious meatballs that make you want to come back for more. You get your moneys worth regardless of whether it's a sandwich a deli item a salad, a hot sub, a cold sub it doesn't matter. The word, Italian and delicious truly fit Stasio's. While they do offer pick up and call ahead for orders, there is no delivery. There is very limited inside seating and there is a little outside seating most people pick up and take it home. I finally got the chance to finally to check this place out after hearing good things about it. And definitely worth the hype. The place is really packed and small. But they somehow manage to have literally everything in this small space. They serve sandwiches, Italian products, pastries, and even coffee. EVERYTHING. Once I saw how packed this place was, I knew that this was the place to be. The service was actually good too. I went to the deli and asked what the server what he would recommend. He recommended the steak sandwich. I wasn't really feeling steak at the moment, so I went a different direction. Once my order ready, they tried calling out my name for my order. I was wandering around the store, so I didn't hear them at all. The server walked out from behind the counter with my sandwich, found me and brought my sandwich to me. Which was actually so considerate I got the chicken parmigiana, and my word... it was so dang good. Everything about this sandwich was so good. The vodka sauce, the cheese, the chicken, the bread. All so good and well balanced. My stomach was very happy after eating that sandwich. Let's just say I will be back to try lunch or a dinner sandwich. The BEC was 7.5/10 the price was $11.29 w/drink (minute made Lemonade). I thought the sandwich was going to be small but they layered it well. The guy I ordered with, told us the eggs was only made fried hard and the roll was the only choice that comes with that breakfast sandwich, the roll was good. Overall when I walked in I didn't know where to order I had to ask the people at the cash register. They need a little organization in the store, for the big crowds. Most spots automatically add cheese, but I appreciated that they stuck to my order without any fuss. The sandwich was perfect! The bun wasn't your typical bread--it was rich, flavorful, and elevated the whole experience. The place was packed, which shows how popular it is, but they could definitely work on better operations to manage the crowd. Despite that, this is hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Orlando. A solid 10/10! Tried Stasio's out for the first time yesterday and since it's #1 on the yelp list, we had to give it a try! First, the staff was all super friendly and helpful. We went with the chicken cutlet sub, Italian wedding soup, tiramisu + a mini cannoli to try. Let's talk about the highlight... THE TIRAMISU. It was SO good I almost had to get a second piece. The cannoli was delish, but nothing overly impressive - so definitely go tiramisu if you are torn. The soup had great flavor, as did the sandwich. We would probably try some other options on our next visit though. The sandwich did not scream "you have to come back and get me" but I think that was on us because it was still very fresh and delicious! read more

Want a delicious sandwich? Of course you do! This is the place to get one but be prepared to enter a world of confusion in order to get it. I felt like I didn't know what I was doing and they'd say "No Sandwich for You!". For a first (or second) timer, when you enter the store, you'll work your way over to the "deli" counter to order a sandwich. I've been here twice. Most recently, I got "The Package" which was a nice crusty bun stuffed with hot sausage, meatballs, cheese and sauce. It was so F'ing good. I think next time I'd just get the hot sausage as it was great on its own. I previously had the Italian sub which was also pretty good. That was quite a few years ago. These sandwiches are pricey (over $10 and some go up if you add imported meats or fresh mozzarella. Look for a paper menu taped to one of the displays near the deli. If you're shopping for groceries or supplies, do NOT do it at lunch time as you won't be able to navigate the store. Good luck and it's probably good to know what you want. I can't comment on earlier in the AM or after the lunch rush, but that may be a better time. Parking is also a challenge. Yikes, that lot is tight, and not in a good way. My park assist just said "Nope" and I had to pull in all by myself. People park in the driveway along the wall too which makes it a challenge to pull out. It shares a lot with Sideward Brewing. I haven't been successful going there due to parking as well. It's worth suffering through parking, the chaos and the prices because they do make a killer sandwich. I have heard great things about them and saw the picture of the cheese pulled from one of Stasio's sandwiches, I knew I had to try it. Absolutely blown away by Stasio's! From the food to the service, I loved everything about Stasio's! We visited last night around 30 minutes before closing, and the hospitable staff greeted us on entry. They gave us a rundown of how they operate, how to order, and what they offer. We ordered a pastrami sandwich and a chicken parmigiana sandwich at the counter. We looked around at the Italian products on display available for purchase (love the setup btw) and walked to the dessert area. Most of the desserts were gone, so get there early if you want certain items! After a staff member described each dessert, she recommended we try the ricotta cheesecake. Our food was out in minutes, and we were on our way. Now, the food. The chicken parm was pretty good, it reminded me of the chicken parm sub I'd get in New York. Huge chunks of chicken were under the nice layers of sauce and cheese. Now, I'm not one to typically order a pastrami sandwich, but we were feeling a little adventurous. This was not your average pastrami sandwich. No exaggeration, the pastrami sandwich was probably the best thing I've ever had. All the flavors, from the onions and the cheese to the actual meats, meshed perfectly together. The sandwich was extremely juicy, and the bread for both sandwiches was toasty on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. I loved the different textures of everything. The ricotta cheesecake was a pleasant difference compared to an American-style cheesecake. The inside was gooey with a lemon flavor, wasn't expecting the flavor, but not complaining. Long story short, you must try Stasio's. If you're from out of town looking for a satisfying bite, try Stasio's. If you're a local who hasn't had it, try Stasio's. So, I've heard of Stasio's and finally made my way to see what it's all about. I came during my lunch break on a Friday early afternoon and it was busy. Parking is tight and there's construction in the area, but I managed to find a parking spot. As I entered, I saw a bunch of Italian goods in front of me, a deli area and the pastry and cash registers to the right. I was immediately greeted and asked if I I had been there before and I said no. The wonderful lady gave me a great break down, recommendations and how to order which I appreciated. Since I wasn't that hungry I ordered a small tortellini salad which had artichokes, sun dried tomatoes and in pesto sauce. It was the perfect amount for me for lunch. All the pastries looked delicious and I got two rainbow cookies which are small in size. They were perfect to end my meal. I look forward to coming in again and trying more items. read more

Stasio's is unequivocally the best Italian deli and supermarket in Orlando. One may say that this is because it is the ONLY one in Orlando (which is technically correct because, as far as I know, there's only one other one in the area, in Oviedo) but I dare to say that even if there were a few, Stasio's would still be the best. Stasio's owners (a cheerful, friendly, and lively Italian family led by Maria, la mamma) chose wisely when setting up their business: they went with what they did best (providing an authentic Italian experience) and picked a fantastic location in downtown Orlando with a decent-sized parking lot (though that parking lot can be at capacity on the weekends). I recommend Stasio's to anyone wanting to indulge in an Italian sandwich, pastry, or dessert and/or grab something from their mini mart and deli. I highly recommend their fresh semolina bread, prosciutto, pastries, and ricotta cheesecake. You can get it to go or sit at one of their tables outside or the high table near the window. My only small and self-serving complaint is the price of the majority of their imported goods, which seems high to me. That being said, I keep coming back to Stasio's! :) read more

I'll have to be a dissenting voice here. I've ordered from here five times or so. The subs are ok. The stasio was probably my favorite, but nothing very special. It was a standard hot deli meat sandwich similar to, say, Potbelly. The chicken parm is made with chopped, heavily breaded chicken. It's basically breaded chicken on bread. Very dry. The cheese is put on the outside to make for a pretty photo but that's about it. There's no cheese inside with the chicken. If you've ever had a sandwich from a real Italian deli in say, Brooklyn, or even Philadelphia or Baltimore- prepare to be severely underwhelmed. They sure act like they're the real deal though.
