I bought a Chevy Traverse 2009 cash over $7,000 on 7/26/2018 and when I drove it off the lot the…read morecar died with my sick mom and I in it. It's been almost a month since I bought it and he does not have a title for the car. The car has been getting fixed supposedly by his mechanic but I've seen no proof. When I called today 8/14/2018 he said another week but not sure a date?! Update: just spoke to the owner Khalid he was condescending told me as a black community we should stick together which has nothing to do with the fact I want my title and my car. This place is a scam and sells lemons. Shane the manager never calls you back when he says he will when I went to look at the SUV today to see if they would have my title they had a bag of Wendy's trash and a cup in my SUV that was not mine when I asked about it he said it must have been the mechanic that left it in the car. When I told the manager this he didn't even go get it or clean the car out and they burn all my gas because they said they had to test drive the car up and down 295 to see if it will cut off again when I told him about my gas being low he said it wasn't their fault. I have told so many people buyer beware and complains on my Facebook page I feel like I was swindler out of my hard-earned money and taking advantage of. The owner even told me to take down my negative review on Google because he was going to fix it yet I'm still disappointed and the engine light keeps going off. I even have proof that the car was returned two weeks before I bought it the buyer before me left their temporary registration in the glove compartment on July 12th I bought the car on July 26th when I asked about it the manager Shane told me that the man just brought it back because he wanted a bigger car the SUV is huge. His review on Google is poor I didn't see them until after this nightmare. tomorrow I don't even know if I will get the title to the car or it will pass inspection. it's been almost a month and I haven't even driven this car more than one day this car was supposed to be a bigger car to help me take care of my sick mom who has a walker. I don't know if I will get the title but I really want other people to know to be careful you may lose your money and this place is terrible.

Girlfriend's equinox hit 20k miles and was due for an oil change and tire rotation. Simple work,…read morebut if you don't keep up with the simple stuff, it'll catch up with you and result in larger repair bills down the road. We scheduled an 11 am appointment online. They had a coupon for $69.95 (or $69.99, apologies for forgetting the psychological "don't call it $70" trailing digit). The coupon covered up to 6 quarts of fully synthetic ACDelco (GM's house brand) of oil and a tire rotation- not a terrible price, it's actually a little less than what you'll pay at a quick lube place. I showed up at 11 am and was helped by a random service advisor at the counter. They don't pair you with the service advisor mentioned online when you book, so don't bother looking for that individual. Service was definitely "matter of fact," I got the feeling that they could either take or leave my business, passive aggressively told that I could've just pulled into the service bay and to "remember that for next time." That's fine...Perhaps this attitude is why Chevy hasn't been the #1 car brand for many years now? The wait time was quoted to be 1 hour and 15 minutes and it took 90, not the end of the world. The job (once started and with a couple folks working on it) takes 5-10 minutes tops but I have waited much longer at other establishments in the past. The only upsells offered by the service advisor were air filters: engine and cabin. The cost? Over $60 each! Talk about markup. Of note: you can change the cabin air filter yourself in under 3 minutes with no tools. Just open your glove box carefully, drop it down/look behind, and you'll encounter the filter. It lifts right out and drops right in! The chairs in the "lounge" were pleather and comfortable enough. There are complimentary water bottles, coffee, and subpar bagels on offer in a bar area to the side. Restrooms are easily accessed and not the worst I've seen at a car dealership. Expect the usual "colorful" language and personalities if you sit around here for more than 5 minutes. It brought back memories of my days working at a car dealership, good and bad! Everything ended with the advisor walking me to a separate cashier area. The cashier handed me something to sign, but yelled at me to pay before I could even sign the paper! Yes, I'm a big boy, I understand that I need to pay for services rendered. The car key was still on the counter and again, I hadn't even signed the paperwork. Not sure what that was all about... No, I won't look forward to coming back to Barlow for service. However, I don't look forward to visiting the dentist either!

If you want to buy a car, 5 stars. Want to repair a car? 0 stars…read more Want to feel like you don't matter for service? Feel free to drop your car off here. I've never felt so horrible with service. The service advisor was horrible. No reassurance. Just drop your car and I'll be rude. The lady had a face even a mother couldn't love.no personality. Miserable. No call or text for updates. Nothing. Car was there for a week. "Update. Sold the chevy. Will never buy another chevy." Life's short, pick a dealer that values your time, money and relationship.

I will never purchase another car from Alena Quality Auto again and if I can save you from doing…read morethe same then I have served my purpose. I bought a 2007 Nissan for $10,000 The owner came off as a genuine guy. The car was in great condition at first glance. We purchased it with two contingencies: One of the tires needed to be replaced, and there was a speculated problem with a leak with one of the windows in the front of the car. He stated he could "sell the car tomorrow without paying for the repairs" but agreed to look into it. They ensured that there was no leak to be found and he did replace the tire at cost. After signing, the next day we returned with the car because the steering wheel seized while driving. Come to find out, there was a leak in the power steering. They seemed not to know the problem existed. I owed the Nissan for 6 months and had to put over $4,000 of work into the car. On two occasions I brought the car to a dealership and was informed that the car was unsafe to drive because the wheels were going to fall off due to worn out control arms, and ball joints. The suspension, brake pads and two of the tires needed to be replaced on different occasions. The power steering from the initial date of purchase was not fixed nor was the developing sunroof leak. There is an oil leak valued at $300. The car un-drivable after 6 months because the transfer case has recently failed resulting in a repair that costs $3,500. The value of the car I purchased from Alena went from $17,500 (including the cost of repairs) to $500 from June 2018 to November 2018. Do yourself a favor and look literally anywhere else. Might I add, that the dealer mentioned that he would "comfortably sell this car to his sister"... which goes to show how much he thinks of her.
