My girlfriend and I have been coming here almost every day and still haven't gotten tired of it. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when we saw the menu for the first time. The atmosphere is sweet and calm. The drinks are always incredible. Our favorites are the dirty tea and the grapes grapefruit! You can tell it is made fresh and with care. Unlike Boba Tea (the chain), the flavors all seem very authentic and real instead of powders and substitutes. The service is always great and it's definitely a nice treat! read more

Huge fan of boba shakes little fan of this boba shack. Can someone please explain to me why the winter melon milk tea couldn't be made into a shake? When I asked the barista what the process of making a shake was, I was told they make the drink add the ice then blend it. I asked how do they make the tea, she said they make the drink and add the ice. When I asked if she could make a winter melon tea into a shake I was told the process was a little different so it couldn't be done? I didn't want to hound the barista because she seemingly wasn't sure as she asked the other employee if they could make it into a shake and she was over all sweet but If 1+1=2 a more straight forward response could have been. No I don't want to. Seriously would have paid extra! So bummed because at the time I arrived other boba spots around had already closed or would have closed within 5-10 minutes. I was disappointed because the shake options that where presented where slim to 5 maybe 6 & very disappointing flavors. Now, if that wasn't upsetting enough, the boba tea doesn't even come with boba! It's an extra cost. ‍ Def wouldn't recommend for drinks but maybe for a pre teen, freshman high school ambiance when looking for a place to hang, could be cool for the lil ones. read more

This is the cutest Boba shop I've ever entered in Albuquerque. The atmosphere is great with fantastic decor plus a very patience owner. She was all kind and helpful when I asked which drink is she recommended. So far, I've tried the House Milktea, Dirty Tea, Passion Fruit tea, Avocado/Pineapple Shake and they're all delish. read more

My hubby and I wanted boba drinks so we decided to go to a place we haven't been before! Starry Moon was an amazing choice! The shop itself is super cute. We were warmly greeted and got a run down over the menu options. We played games while we waited and when we received our drinks, the presentation was absolutely beautiful! The cups themselves are even nice and sturdy. Thanks for such a great experience! read more

Cute place with friendly service! Got the dirty tea that came with boba and passion fruit tea. Passion fruit tea has my vote. There was a fresh slice of grapefruit with passion fruit mixed in. Next time, I'll probably ask for it to be a little less sweet, that's only personal preference. Very nice to have a good boba place on Paseo. read more

Used to be my favorite Boba shop with the best Boba. I had to stop supporting this business due to how they treated my sister when she was employed. Just moved to ABQ from the land of milk & boba (aka Houston). This is one of my favorite spots so far. It's one of the closest ones to me and the sweet lady who works here is so nice! I like the passion fruit tea. The only downside is that their drinks are expensive, my drink is $6.25 before toppings and tax. Alright, passed by this place a couple weeks ago and had to come back to try it out and I am so glad I did. Brought my 13 year old son with me to check it out. This place is simply put, sweet! The teas all sound delicious. I got the passion fruit and it had bits of real fruit a whole grapefruit slice, limes and a slice of pineapple, there was also like maybe sugar candy at the bottom that added extra texture...it was AMAZING!!! My son got the orange peach and his had an orange slice and peach pieces and was refreshing! This store is so cute and comfy. If your are in the area or if your like us and not in the area but want something delicious to drink you need to stop in and try this place, you will not be disappointed! read more

The vibe of this place is like a chilled out version of a small boba shop in NYC. The variations of tea are plentiful and you can add mango cubes, lychee cubes or cheese to any drink. They make the cheese style tea which is a sweet cream cheese topping that makes anything extremely decadent. I had the orange peach fruit tea and my boyfriend has the grapefruit tea. Each tea came with lots of fresh fruit inside the cup and was pleasantly sweet. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other items like their match and dirty tea! read more

I was a little disappointed because I only like boba with my milk tea, but the owner offered me a coupon to compensate for the trouble the next time I visited. I wanted to get boba milk tea before my friends left for college and I wanted something all of us would remember. We walked in this place and was greeted kindly, was surrounded by cute plushies that accompanied us while we chatted. It was a cute little place that I wish we had discovered during the summer; but we all said we would happily go back. I had the house milk tea w/ boba and it was delicious- the perfect amount of sweetness and soft boba. All three of my other friends had the Dirty Chai Milk Tea and they all enjoyed, nearly inhaling it, and after a taste for myself, it was understandable! I would come back to this place :) read more

Delicious! I finally stopped in to continue my quest to find the best Vietnamese coffees in town…read more Their coffee was strong, and had a great flavor. I also ordered an avocado smoothie with boba, the boba had a great flavor and the smoothie had a strong avocado essence to it which I love. I had to stand awkwardly at the register while they ignored me for about a minute but were nice when they did acknowledge me. I liked that they had a plethora of games and lots of seating.

Staff claimed they could not check them, honor them, refund their value, or reload a new gift card, which struck me as strange. Cards have no language about an expiration. They needed an original receipt, which odd in that it wouldn't validate current value, and seems like an easy excuse. One would assume a better customer policy would be considered, versus it feeling like a cash scam. They have a lot of signs up about buying their new gift cards too. Generally not one to review a bad experience but the sunk $50 and interest they have in gift cards felt worth reporting....Otherwise, the boba is fine. Added some photos to save other holders a trip

It has been a while since I've had boba from Ma's so I wasn't sure what to get. We opted for the Lychee fruit tea and a Taro shake. Of course, very delicious! The store is open and has plenty of seats to lounge around. When we were there, it was starting to get busy. We're definitely coming back the next time we are in the area.

We saw Starry Moon and made a pit stop. Our drinks kind of took a minute to get, but we did order 5 drinks. They all came out looking fantastic. The photo shoot is attached to this review. LOL I am a sucker for anything coffee, and the one I got was good, just a little heavier on the sweet side than I prefer. The cravings were appeased.

The drinks were tasty & on par with what I've had with good teahouses in Houston Asian town. There is an area to sit and hang out. This teahouse house has some notable cool things that none of the other ones I've tried in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho have offered. This is the only teahouse that 1) uses real fruit in their drinks, 2) have bingsu on the menu, & 3) have games to play. The place is nicely decorated with some cool themes & has a cool vibe. The only negative that I can think of is that their restroom wasn't working/accessible for customers at this time. After buying drinks for a group of 4 with children and hanging out playing games, someone will eventually need to use the restroom. They said we could walk to the restaurant across the way & use their restroom. ‍ This place may be good if you're in the area & want to grab a drink & go or don't plan on staying too long. Hopefully the restroom situation gets sorted out soon. I came back a week later to grab a drink & go since I was in the area and decided to update my review. The service was great and my drink came out quick just like the 1st time. I was acknowledged as I stepped up to the counter The workers were polite and answered my questions. This time I tried the dirty milk tea after reading the reviews. I was told it had consdensed milk and caramel. It was pretty awesome and packed full of flavor & sweetness. But scine I don't normally go for the super sweet drinks, it got to be a lil too much after a while. If I do pick it up again, I'd prob dial down the sweetness level. Overall, this teahouse has been the best one we've been to so far. I recommend stopping by & giving them a try. We'll try out the bingsu next time.

I don't know anything and my niece is 12, so I asked the staff a lot of questions. What we should try, our limits, etc. He ended up suggesting a light coffee tea with jellies. It was weird to me, but my niece loved it. It was not the round boba. The jelly was square and weird. The drink was like a really milky drink, when we wanted a strong coffee flavor, but perhaps the 12 year old was throwing him off from that recommendation. They do have alternative milks. The store was clean. And the drinks were inexpensive. It's not something I would get again (like the boba in the mall) but my niece LOVED it and drank mine too-- so it's a win. Plus it's always nice when staff take the time to help you. 9/10 recommend

The space is really cute and they've got a good variety of offerings. I tried a lychee tea with the cherry blossom stars. It was really good overall and it's sparkled so can't go wrong with that.
