Very thankful for the shop being open Christmas Eve! We last visited a few years ago and were excited to return. We tried the house milk tea and house black tea with milk, both at 75% sweet and enjoyed both. Milk tea has a good prominent tea flavor and not too sweet. The house black tea with milk could have gone 100 percent sweet. They were very kind and explaining which drinks had nondairy and dairy. The milk tea is a combination of nondairy and condensed milk. While the black tea with milk is dairy. Only thing to improve was that boba did not taste soaked in anything sweet like brown sugar and a bit hard in the inside.
Really great vibe for all ages but mostly targeting the youth and a place to go hang out or study with friends. The drinks are reasonably priced with countless options to choose from in regards to bobba and drinks . The staff was friendly and helpful with choice selections. Overall a welcoming environment and great air conditioning!
DELICIOUS. We have been searching for a good boba place and this is by far the best we have found in ABQ and Santa Fe. A decent price for our drinks and my passion fruit tea came with fresh fruits! I've never had it with fresh fruit but this may have just become a favorite. There aren't tons of spots to sit inside but if just taking to go it's great. Very cutesy vibe inside with colorful small couches and stuffed animals.
SO thankful I found this little spot near my new apartment in Albuquerque. It's a cute little spot with lots of cute decor inside, and plenty of seating. Prices are..fair, I think in this economy? Mildly cheaper than California, but still more expensive than I am comfortable with paying. Doesn't mean I'll stop though... Strawberry matcha latte was a decent version compared to most. Boba is also decent texture! A bit on the firmer side, but good overall. Roasted oolong was great as well. Uji matcha latte plain was a little watered down. I'll give it another try though because a) this spot is close and convenient and b) I've had good results with their other drinks. They also have a cotton candy machine, which looks fun. Haven't given it a try yet though.
Ever walk into a business and immediately think "Wow, they're so much busier than I expected"? That was definitely my thought process walking into Starry Moon. For the time of day, I was pretty surprised at how busy they were. That isn't a negative though, just a testament to the popularity. I was in the mood for something refreshing and opted for a mango drink that was fantastic. I can't recall the exact name but it was on the specials list and it was basically a mango pudding dessert in a drink. It came with lychee and that was perfect, normally I might opt for boba but the lychee was lighter and super good too. I will definitely be back!
The owner of this particular location goes above and beyond to make sure you have the most quality drinks with fresh ingredients every day. She trains her staff the same. I get boba every single day of my life and have tried many places in ABQ. This is hands down the best. I recommend the fruit cup with strawberry popping boba, or the dirty tea, or the peach oolong with mango popping boba, or the cake brûlée , or the strawberry matcha.
Place is always busy, seems to be very popular. What I think was cool was outside there was a local car club showing off their rides. There are a lot of different drinks you can get. I must say the drinks are tasty Atmosphere here is great there are always people just hanging out and laughing. Service is good as they get your order and get you severed.
Visited here over the weekend, this is my second time. My family and I like coming here because they're just friendlier than other boba shops. Lots of variety and the drinks come in these tall cups, which is just right for me. The first time we visited, we were greeted by friendly staff. They explained all the drink choices to us. They even told us about their weekly specials including some desserts. The first time we tried The Dirty Tea. That was good and it was sweet like most boba drinks. The second time, which was from this weekend, we had Thai tea with boba and Red Bean Milk tea. Both were delicious! We're definitely going to come back to this shop when we're in the area. Thank you!
My favorite boba shop anywhere! I try boba tea anytime I go out of town (and I used to live in Denver too), and Starry moon is consistently great. The boba is the perfect texture. They also have other ad ins (poppables, mango stars, etc) and crystal boba. My favorite is the Lemon Yakult with boba and mango stars. Lemony, creamy goodness! The service is always efficient and kind as well. You can call ahead to place your order if you are in a rush, as they are consistently busy (a good sign in my opinion). I highly recommend this boba shop!
Starry Moon is my absolute go to for boba tea in my hood. The atmosphere is cozy and has a squishmallow vibe. The staff is friendly and always have the best recommendations. They have a great selection, my favorite is a the dirty tea. I definitely recommend dropping by for a boba tea if you're in the area.
This was my first time going to this boba cafe and I have to say that it is my favorite in Albuquerque so far. It is much more personal, cute and has more personality than other boba cafes around Albuquerque. Their menu selection is also exquisite. I ordered the oreo milk tea with boba and it was fantastic! The people who work here are so so kind as well. They explained their menu and the most popular options as well as their personal favorites. There is a cotton candy machine which was super neat to look at and the Cafe is decorated with little plushies and cozy chairs which makes this Cafe more unique, personal and more of a place to socialize with friends.
Easily one of the cutest boba shops I've ever been to! Employees were very kind and helpful, and I really enjoyed the seating area. There was plenty of seats to accommodate lots of people, and I loved all of the different plushies they had in the seating area. I also loved the beautiful art on painted on the walls. I got The Dirty Tea, 100% sugar, less ice, with boba. It was delicious! I really enjoyed the texture of the boba. The drink was not too sweet, but sweet enough to fulfill my craving. I also love the sturdiness of the cups.
Kawaii desune?? This place is so cute!! My coworker and I stopped in spontaneously after a particularly stressful day at work. We both squealed with excitement when we walked in. There were chibi stuffed animals, a giant Totoro painted on the wall and the most adorable little chairs and couches to hang out on. The best part though? The drink. I had the passion fruit tea with rainbow jellies. It was beautiful and super delicious. I really loved the cup the drink came in (I'm a texture person) and appreciated the care they took when making it. The young woman who took my order was cheerful and had such a welcoming vibe. My coworker and I left there feeling happier and swore we would definitely be back.

I don't review too many places but when they're this good I feel obligated. I've tried a lot of boba tea spots around Abq and this is by far the best one! This was my first time there so I asked for a recommendation and the super cute lady running the front recommended the Dirty Tea, which was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back with friends to try more of their drinks. (note: their boba or pearls, whatever you want to call them, were perfect, they weren't under cooked like you tend to find at most places where kids are running the back.) read more

TL;DR: Cute lil boba place with extremely nice owners and yummy tea! I came in with my friend to try the Dirty Tea, which is a brown sugar milk tea inspired by Taiwan's famous Tiger Sugar shop. The boba were perfectly soft, the milk tea perfectly sweetened (not too sweet!!), and the brown sugar flavor was delicious. The cafe is very cutely decorated with fun plush pillows. It is also a very clean place. I can't wait to come back and try some other flavors on the menu; I thought the price was fair for the quality and size of tea received. A nice new tea shop! Lattes, shake series, milk teas, matcha series, cheese series teas (similar to a frothy mascarpone frothy cheese too) on your tea, tea with milk, fruit tea, specialty tea, lemon series. A nice yummy tea treat! Dessert tea! I wanted a chai variety but they didn't have one so it forced me to get out of my comfort zone which is nice. I tried the dirty tea and I liked it. Nice spot and I will be back. They have a section of free cookies that are delicious! read more
Found this hidden gem when looking for a boba spot and wanted to support locally. The decor is so adorable I loved it and the milk tea was so delicious! The cashier was very friendly and it was about $5 per cup which is a great price! I will definitely be back and support local businesses more often! read more

Our first time here and it was a very pleasant experience! Best way to describe is if your grandma opened up a boba tea shop, and put nothing but love into her drinks, this is the place to be! This store is locally owned by husband and wife, and she was very nice! Right when we walked in we were welcomed, and given a nice tour of their menu. If you have any questions then don't be shy to ask! The owner is very friendly and knowledgable. We had ordered the "house milk tea with boba" and the "fresh fruit cup" under the "fruit tea" section. Both drinks were delicious and you can taste that they brew their teas fresh, and you ain't going to expect no powder based wannabe drinks. I also added "mango cubes" to my fruit cup drink. Side note: the add on's are not on the main menu or paper menu, but located on a little wooden board near the cash register where you order. They are also an additional 50 cents per topping. I might reconsider getting the mango cubes with the fruit cup next time, because the fruit cup drink has a lot of fresh fruits in the drink (depending on what they have). Today the drink had kiwis, oranges, and dragon fruit, and the base of the drink was a passion fruit tea. It was difficult to catch the mango cubes because it would just float to the top, and the other fruits would just get stuck at the end of the straw! Overall, a great experience! We loved the interior, it was very open and airy. The decorations had personality and you could tell the owners put their own twist in it. We will be back. read more
Passing by stop by to grab something refreshing beside coffee. After lunch search around for something refreshing. Came through this area which serve milk tea, tea and smoothie. Got a lot of people rate this place so decide to come by. I order a Oreo milk tea and my boyfriend order a passion fruit tea. Let me say both is delicious especially the passion fruit. Very cute place! The pops of color and interior design is my favorite part. The menu is simple and straight to the point. I highly highly suggest the avocado shakes. So creamy and not too sweet. The cups are what I love the most. A semi matte finish and the details are very cute. read more

The Place Was Cute Great Customer Service. Love The Cups. Been Trying To Find A Place That Sell's Cheese Topping Ordered 4 Different Drinks, The Drinks Itself Was Good However I Absolutely Did Not Like The Dirty Tea & The Cheese Toppings(It Was Salty). The Wait Time Took About 10-15Min There Was A Customer That Was There Way Before Me & Had Not Received Hers I Got Mine First I Felt Bad In A Way. It Was Just One Of The Owners(Lady) That Was Only Making The Orders She Had Just One Associate That Did Not Help But Take The Orders It Would Have Went Smoothly At A Fast Pace If She Also Made The Drinks, But She Could Have Been New. I love my boba, if you know me, you know that the one way to get me out of the house is to text me saying "wanna go get boba?" My answer is always yes. So when I received a text saying that yesterday I was so happy & I have been wanting to try Moon Tea. I work off of Wyoming & I always see it. I always tried to google it to see what the place was, but I could never find it! I wasn't sure if it was a herbal loose tea shop, a book store anything. It could've been anything, but I was hoping it was boba. Until I got Yelp & answered all my questions!! BOBA! YESS! So we went to this new boba spot & the lady that greeted us was extremely friendly & super helpful! She knew the menu so well & explained everything! That was the first time I had ever had beans in a drink... it was different. I would probably get something different next time but I still enjoyed it while waiting for the freak rain storm to calm down on their comfy couches! Will definitely visit again. read more

Visiting family here in ABQ, saw the outside and had to try it. Super adorable inside, I loved all the pastel and plushies. Was empty because we went in kinda late and the owner was very nice and explained the menu to my mother. Boba was good, I'm not eating sugar right now but luckily she could make the matcha milk without sugar. Boba was cooked well and was generally not very sweet. One of the Top best boba drink place in town. I tried a dirty tea with boba and a fruit cup tea, and upon drinking the dirty tea first, I noticed how perfectly sweet and flavorful this drink was. I then went on to try the fruit cup and was amazed by how tasty and refreshing this tea was. I definitely recommend this place. read more
We've become a weekly regular here. The lady behind the counter always seem to be alone but she is very nice and polite. She also try to help me pick my drink. I haven't tried their milk teas yet but I would recommend the fruit cup tea and the dirty chai. I'm glad I don't have to pick my sugar level or ice level. It is made to perfection. Not too sweet nor too plain. The environment is cute interior with a stuffed animal at every table. It seems like a good place to study. read more

My boyfriend and I are huge fans of Moon Tea! Not only is the cafe aesthetically pleasing with adorable plush pillows and swinging chairs, but the owner is very helpful and kind. The drinks are made fresh with natural and healthy ingredients, which is a refreshing change from Boba Tea & Company. If you're looking for a milk tea, I highly recommend the Dirty Tea with boba or pudding. Or, if you're like for a refreshing drink, I recommend the Grapes Grapefruit and Peach Orange. Moon Tea also has a variety of cheese teas, such as the Strawberry Cheese Tea that tastes like Strawberry Cheesecake when mixed! With great beverages and games like Uno and Cards Against Humanity, Moon Tea is the perfect spot to bring your family and friends. read more

I absolutely love the decor! There's a plushie in just about every seat, it gives a nice, laidback feel as well as the couches. My coworkers and I ordered a variety of drinks including the strawberry cheese, which I was hesitant about but it's like a sweet cream cheese and tastes like a strawberry cheesecake when well mixed! The boba in it was perfect, it wasn't too soft and over cooked. The peach orange drink was delicious and tart, did not lack any flavor. And lastly, the dirty tea! It requires a specific palette but I still enjoyed it. I must also mention the cups! They're strong, thick plastic with lids that will not easily pop off, and they come with a small cap if you need to travel or need to shake your drink and best of all, they're reusable! They easily earned my business and every drink comes with a free cookie! read more

The decoration is super cute! They even have their own WiFi, which is super helpful. The lemon kumquat is on point, super sour and tasty. Would not recommend it for anyone who have heartburn though. The original milk tea was not bad, you can taste the tea separately from the milk. Totally would come back for more delish milk teas. read more
