TL;DR: Cute lil boba place with extremely nice owners and yummy tea! I came in with my friend to try the Dirty Tea, which is a brown sugar milk tea inspired by Taiwan's famous Tiger Sugar shop. The boba were perfectly soft, the milk tea perfectly sweetened (not too sweet!!), and the brown sugar flavor was delicious. The cafe is very cutely decorated with fun plush pillows. It is also a very clean place. I can't wait to come back and try some other flavors on the menu; I thought the price was fair for the quality and size of tea received. Lattes, shake series, milk teas, matcha series, cheese series teas (similar to a frothy mascarpone frothy cheese too) on your tea, tea with milk, fruit tea, specialty tea, lemon series. Our first time here and it was a very pleasant experience! Best way to describe is if your grandma opened up a boba tea shop, and put nothing but love into her drinks, this is the place to be! This store is locally owned by husband and wife, and she was very nice! Right when we walked in we were welcomed, and given a nice tour of their menu. If you have any questions then don't be shy to ask! The owner is very friendly and knowledgable. We had ordered the "house milk tea with boba" and the "fresh fruit cup" under the "fruit tea" section. Both drinks were delicious and you can taste that they brew their teas fresh, and you ain't going to expect no powder based wannabe drinks. I also added "mango cubes" to my fruit cup drink. Side note: the add on's are not on the main menu or paper menu, but located on a little wooden board near the cash register where you order. They are also an additional 50 cents per topping. I might reconsider getting the mango cubes with the fruit cup next time, because the fruit cup drink has a lot of fresh fruits in the drink (depending on what they have). Today the drink had kiwis, oranges, and dragon fruit, and the base of the drink was a passion fruit tea. It was difficult to catch the mango cubes because it would just float to the top, and the other fruits would just get stuck at the end of the straw! Overall, a great experience! We loved the interior, it was very open and airy. The decorations had personality and you could tell the owners put their own twist in it. We will be back. read more

Awesome bubble tea spot!!! I always like to try new teas so I asked for a recommendation and was given the sparking strawberry tea - SO GOOD. It was fizzy delicious and the strawberry purée was great. So good I forgot to take a picture before drinking. I also tried just a plain green tea with boba which was fragrant and flavorful. In addition to this the customer service was 5 star. They were super friendly and nice. It's also by far the strongest COVID precautions I've yet to see at a restaurant/snack place (gloves, wipes, masks, barriers), so it's a place I'll be back to for sure. Such a cute little mom-and-pop boba shop! Coming from California, I've been spoiled by all the amazing boba shops in the Bay Area and SGV. I have high standards when it comes to tea and boba. I wasn't expecting too much because I came here on a whim after running some errands, but boy was I pleasantly surprised! I tried their passion fruit green tea and it exceeded my expectations. It reminded me of my favorite fruit tea from Yifang Taiwan Fruit Tea! The green tea was mixed with fresh passion fruit syrup and served with sliced grapefruit, pineapple, lime, and strawberries. The fruit slices were a nice little treat once I finished the tea. The only area where it fell short for me was the sweetness. I had asked for them to go light on the sugar, but the drink was still a bit too sweet for my taste. However, I know that is a matter of personal preference. I tend to like tasting the tannins in the tea rather than the sweetness of the fruit syrup. Next time, I'll probably ask them to make it even less sweet. But overall, Starry Moon easily earns a solid 4 star experience from this first visit. Can't wait to come back and try their milk tea and boba! read more

I love my boba, if you know me, you know that the one way to get me out of the house is to text me saying "wanna go get boba?" My answer is always yes. So when I received a text saying that yesterday I was so happy & I have been wanting to try Moon Tea. I work off of Wyoming & I always see it. We've become a weekly regular here. The lady behind the counter always seem to be alone but she is very nice and polite. She also try to help me pick my drink. This is my FAVORITE place in Albuquerque to get boba. Whenever someone asks me where they should get boba I send them to Starry Moon. The tea is delicious, I personally like milk teas better than fruit ones, so I have yet to try any of the fruit ones. I absolutely love the decor! There's a plushie in just about every seat, it gives a nice, laidback feel as well as the couches. My coworkers and I ordered a variety of drinks including the strawberry cheese, which I was hesitant about but it's like a sweet cream cheese and tastes like a strawberry cheesecake when well mixed! The boba in it was perfect, it wasn't too soft and over cooked. The peach orange drink was delicious and tart, did not lack any flavor. And lastly, the dirty tea! I love this place! Every single thing I have tried from their menu has been amazing. I recently had the taro shake with taro crystal boba and it was so good. Everything from the milk tea section is always delicious and classic, and their new red bean and coconut was a revelation. Don't be afraid to try the cheese teas as well! I recommend the strawberry cheese tea, it's wonderfully sweet and fruity. I can't wait to go back! The owner and the staff are also so kind! Huge fan of boba shakes little fan of this boba shack. Can someone please explain to me why the winter melon milk tea couldn't be made into a shake? When I asked the barista what the process of making a shake was, I was told they make the drink add the ice then blend it. I asked how do they make the tea, she said they make the drink and add the ice. When I asked if she could make a winter melon tea into a shake I was told the process was a little different so it couldn't be done? I didn't want to hound the barista because she seemingly wasn't sure as she asked the other employee if they could make it into a shake and she was over all sweet but If 1+1=2 a more straight forward response could have been. No I don't want to. Seriously would have paid extra! So bummed because at the time I arrived other boba spots around had already closed or would have closed within 5-10 minutes. I was disappointed because the shake options that where presented where slim to 5 maybe 6 & very disappointing flavors. Now, if that wasn't upsetting enough, the boba tea doesn't even come with boba! It's an extra cost. ‍ Def wouldn't recommend for drinks but maybe for a pre teen, freshman high school ambiance when looking for a place to hang, could be cool for the lil ones. read more

The decoration is super cute! They even have their own WiFi, which is super helpful. The lemon kumquat is on point, super sour and tasty. Would not recommend it for anyone who have heartburn though.
