Decided to try the wings at the new Match Eatery tonight. I wasn't expecting much but I got even less. The order of wings came to me on a fairly small rectangular plate and it really was because the wings were the tiny-tiny things. I actually had 3-4 wings out of the order that were the size of my pinky finger. Now I will say this is an appetizer, but really I expect more on even for an app. The sauce on the other hand was tasty, and wish I could get some of that on an actual real size chicken wing. They don't have to be the biggest and best in town but they are a sorry example for a chicken wing and whoever orders them or decided these would be good for the restaurant should be ashamed and embarrassed to serve them. read more

Converting US to Canadian at this casino is awesome. They give you a slip at the cashiers cage guaranteeing the same exchange rate that of your US currency. So, if you exchange $500 US for Canadian at their cage, they'll give you whatever the value is in Canadian ($1.29 will get you $640 Canadian, for example). The good part is- when it's time to convert back to US, they exchange at the same rate! You don't lose any $ buying back US dollars. Only Canadian casino I've seen that does this. So your US exchange dollars should be no excuse for you not going - actually an incentive. You bring less $ to play with & they exchange it for more of their $ and cash out for US without losing money on the exchange. Awesome deal. The place is pretty small, tables are limited and the slots are pretty old. Very clean overall tho Restaurant kinda blows. Went to the new Restaurant at Casino, OMG what a joke. Wife order a Cesar salad which was a 1/4 of a romaine lettuce leaf. My fish was nasty fishy tasting. For 55$ it was worst meal I have had since coming to Sarnia for work 5 years ago. Don't go to this restaurant. read more

Match Eatery and Public House I was a little bit disappointed with the service. We ordered Nachos as an app before our mains, and as we waited I over heard our server mentioning to other staff she as headed for a break. Fine, everyone deserves a break. However soon our mains were coming out. No Nachos, as. the last server brought out the main dishes we asked them if they have not started the nachos, don't bother sending them out. But they insisted we take them but wouldn't be in the bill. They weren't on the bill. So the did live up to their word. Our party of seven came in two waves. Party of 3 were seated first and a drink order was filled. With the wait of the second part of our group, I had finished my soft drink and put at the edge of the table in plain sight so as to get a refill. Thinking our nachos were on the way, no server cane by, and I was able to ask for a refill after all the mains were brought out. Again we waited, long enough to notice and get slightly aggravated. Quite a lengthy time waiting for a simple refill sort of sealed the deal. Food was "Okay", I had the Meatballs & Pasta. The menu says "House made marinara sauce, gruyère stuffed meatballs, fresh basil, parmesan cheese." There is no way this was home made, tasted so processed and the meatballs were straight from the freezer. Overall, i left the facility disappointed . read more

Pretty small and not much in the way of table games. Coming from the U.S., you need to convert your gambling bank roll into Canadian funds which is sort of annoying (esp. if the line to the Cashier is too long). We saw low returns on the slots and video poker. read more

Small Casino, not too bad but a bit quirky. Staff seemed friendly and like the other review posted, they do allow buy back at same exchange rate- however you have to do so with at least $100 US. I only play Hold'em poker and was disappointed to find out that A) poker room is only open Thus-Weekend, B) they only have 1 tournament a week on Thus night (of which you have to reserve a spot prepaying in advance) no other Tourneys are allowed no matter the player interest, and C) they are fond of having a 10 person full ring poker table which makes for long nights especially if you are card dead. First time I came was on a weekday night and was disappointed that no poker games were going so I reluctantly played a little of the slots. Payout seemed very tight and seldom. Overall might go back a few more times but this is more to do with the proximity then the play. read more

The hostess station was a mess and the girl had no idea what she was doing, so had to wait 5 minutes for her to rudely tell me they were busy, lucky for me I already had a reservation where she told me go find your party not hey let me take you, Lots of manger types just standing around not helping. Then there is the food, none of our meals were served at the same time, then the quality of the calamari was so greasy and deep fried I only at 4 pieces, my lettuce cups were not cups but limp lettuce leaves, when we told the waitress she said she would tell a manager about it, then came back and told us that they did not care, will not go back read more

probably the best casino I've been to, which isn't saying a whole lot. this casino not only boasts a great deal of slots, but also has a lot of gaming tables as well, which gives it a real Vegas feel, without leaving the country(for the record, I've never been to Vegas) a great deal of parking, with a shuttle for the parking lot. my complaints would be with security unfortunately, all of the times I've come here they have tried some stupid "gimmick/comment"(for a lack of better words) when asking to see i.d. I understand there is a job to do, but be a bit more professional would be nice, rather then high fiving you're co-workers when you've made a "funny joke". aside from this, the staff here are awesome, always around for assistance. having said this actually brought up a funny memory and a word of advice, they do not allowed flash photography in here, commercial or otherwise...found that out the hard way. read more

Many people are disappointed with the casino as there is no guideline how long a person can leave their seat-and still have the slot machine when they return. I sat down at a seat yesterday after asking the lady who was sitting next if someone was sitting at the next seat and she said there was but I dont think she is coming back-she has been gone over 25 minutes. I never looked but she had 2.25 in the machine and so when I put mine in I had 7.25 and said to her oh my gosh someone has money in-about 2 minutes later a woman came up behind me and said you have no right to sit at my machine and I said you should have had someone keep it for you. She said I did and the lady next to me said I was but you were gone so long I didnt think you were coming back. With that the woman about 25-35 came and immediately called security to get the lady her seat. I said I will play it down to the money she had in here. I assure you it didnt take long to get down to the figure and gave her slip with the money to her. I had planned on staying for a couple of hours as I had come alone and was meeting my daughter however I left-met my daughter outside and went to bingo instead. Many people have had a problem with the shoulder length dark haired woman that is on the floor. She talks behind clients backs to other girls on the floor as well as customers. I dont use my card in the machines-so had also left hers in as I didnt look for a card or anything once the lady said that she didnt think she was coming back to the machine and had been gone over 25 minutes. When Hiawatha was open you could ask any of the floor girls to watch your machine-the girls in Pt Edward are too busy standing and talking to one another to even get any change from them to play. They could be standing 5 feet from you talking about a customer and would ignore the light on for change and walk away without giving change.--This is true of the dark haired girl and if anyone is talking and not doing their job you can be sure that she is talking to your other employee and causing them not to do her job. read more
