One of the best county fairs to take children of all ages too. It lasts a whole week in August. My boyfriend isn't from Michigan, and when we went to a San Diego Fair, we weren't able to touch any sort of animal. Here at Armada, they let you let them and touch them. They offer camel rides and an opportunity to go into a bird enclosure. The kids had birds landing on theur fingers and flying all around them. They loved it. They have so many different activities. The fair offers prizes, awards, and scholarships to those with animals, artwork, etc. It's a great opportunity for teens to show off their talent and earn scholarships for their achievements. I love looking at all the many animals. Many animals are bought. Other animals are show animals with awards for the fair. They have cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, mules, birds, poultry, etc. The teens can participate in still exhibits that are voted on like art/household, culinary arts, food preparation, fine arts, folk arts, collections, antiques, agriculture, floriculture, horticulture, food preservation, homemaker competition, antique tractors and engines, and more. They even have an opportunity for youth in many of the same areas as well as photography, creative arts, natural resources, and fine arts. It's amazing to see their skill and creativity at such young ages. They are all so talented. Another awesome section is the truck and tractor pull. They have other events you can participate in such as the figure 8, demolition derby, and bump and run. It is so much fun to sit in the stands and look st all the smoke in the air. If all of this wasn't enough for you, there is far more to do. There are carnival rides with trucks that sell food. You can even see booths all over selling items and food. There is a magician show, Miss Armada, and an eating contest. They even had a woodmaking contest, where we saw such beautiful art made out of wood. You can buy many items that are auctioned as well. It's such an amazing experience for such a small price. We spent the whole day here and the kids loved it.

    Wreck em up!

Please bring back the double Farris wheel. It's been gone about 3 or 4 years. It's my granddaughter's favorite ride.

My daughter particularly enjoys the stuffed toys and puppets. I enjoy the atmosphere and fun crowd. The music is great and so is the food. They have one of the best funnel cake trucks with amazing fried Oreos, sooo good!!! Treat Dreams has an ice cream truck with their famous flavors. The ice cream cookies are the absolute best!!! They have an eclectic variety of food trucks that look and smell mouthwatering. But they could use more seating, it's very limited compared to the amount of people eating the goodies. I love the adult beverages available to purchase through tickets. They have a ginormous variety of beer and mixed drinks, plus some of the money goes toward different charities and good causes. It's ten tickets for $20, but this year I noticed you may purchase individual tickets. I prefer this option! Tickets are $2 a piece, so most beers cost around $6 or three tickets. I got the Griffinclaw pumpkin beer. It was amazing! Very pumpkin forward with a nice spice aftertaste. Most of the mixed drinks are between three and four tickets, cheaper than most bars. I've even seen some for two tickets. The parking can be challenging. We were able to find a good spot and only paid $3.00. But I wonder if it gets more challenging in the evening hours. I bet this a fun time at night. This is a great event when paired with the Funky Ferndale fair. I look forward to next year.

The ride is about 15 min but the shuttle is comfy (it is a huge bus)! You pay at a tent and don't need a ticket. The shuttle dropped us off right at the end so we could start from the side (there are many vendors). It was right by the fire station. It was very hot walking through but we did find a market that was perfectly air conditioned to cool down in! We bought a refreshing Acai bowl at Wander Bowls Acai, a cookie from Chocolate Chipped Bakery (SO good and they give you a coupon for a free cookie at their farmington location), and a birthday card from the store Vitrine (also nicely air conditioned and has the cutest things)!! We saw the blue fountain, chalk art, music performer, the jurassic park dinosaur, etc. Overall, the vendors are great but it was a crazy hot day and so we didn't have enough energy to walk the whole thing. Loved what we did get to see and I think it is worth attending!

There's always much family, fun & food at the Fall Festival. There are some fun craft and artist booths to browse through too. Each year we say "goodbye" to some favorites and we welcome some new artists as well. On Sunday we returned for the amazing annual Rotary club chicken Dinner! We got chicken, corn on cob & potato chips & a cookie. The chicken is always awesome & tasty! We love this annual event, along with the great people watching! The bands this year were exceptional and people were even dancing with their dogs! I should have gotten a video because it was so much fun to see this one guy dancing on the lawn with his Great Dane! We saw that man who dresses up like Abraham Lincoln too! The weather was great and a great time was had by all! Thank you to the city of Plymouth for having these great functions & getting families to make memories together. See you next year!!
