My boyfriend and I saw The Mattix at Krafft 8. There is several movie theatres in the area and I asked a friend which one is the best. She said Krafft 8 has small town vibes and it is her favorite so that's where we picked! Tickets were $8.75 for an evening showing. It has been years since I have been to the movies and I recall prices being much higher. They have reclining seats so we were able to pick the seats. The concession stand checked all our boxes. Refillable popcorn and pop, good candy selection. The only downside is the concessionist puts the butter and salt on your popcorn and ours was SO SALTY! My boyfriend was happy they had buncha crunch and sweettart ropes. The theatres are fairly small but the picture and sound was incredible. Large bathrooms. We will be back for another movie soon! read more

I have been going to this theater for years. I like the new reclining seats. I rarely have to wait to get it and get the seats I want. I can go in or sign up online to reserve seating. Sides and drinks are on par with all other theaters. I am a Pepsi fan so I like the pop choices. Theaters are clean and staff overall are friendly and attentive. I just watched A Quiet Place 2 with my daughter and we enjoyed ourselves. The games and previews beforehand are fine. I am glad they are still around as I heard the place was going bankrupt but they are here to stay. The Goodrich owner was very philanthropic and I am glad he supported mental health initiatives. Now that I moved, it's even closer. I will keep coming back read more

Alas Krafft 8. How the mighty have fallen. This place has fallen down the list. Although they still have great specialty shows here like turner classics series, I'm afraid that they are not keeping up. The reclining seats are great but the menu doesn't even keep up with the weak birch wood cinema. You can get alcohol at this location which you might need if you skip lunch with the expectation of eating at the movies then settle for nachos and popcorn. Go to sperrys instead! read more

Kraft 8 is a good theater to see movies at. However, if you are trying to get your back back in shape then avoid Kraft 8 and go for a theater which has non-recliners. these recliners, I dont know how, but they have managed to get the perfect recliner that amplifies pain and cramping in your back. In the past after I have seen a movie there, when I go home to sleep, I wake up with horrible cramping in my legs because. And the recliners are actually stiff and bad for the neck. I saw Endgame recently and i loved it but trying to relax while watching Endgame on the recliners gave me a very bad headache. I should have just stood the entire time because that is more comfortable than the recliners. Also, what helps amplify the problem is that my feet arent able to touch the ground and so the entire weight of my body is balanced wrong which adds to the loss of circulation when sitting on the recliners. I'm going to see Spiderman far from home with my friend and I am not looking forward to it although I do want to see the movie because it would be far better if I was allowed to just bring my normal chair with me from where i live instead of be stuck having to sit in those horrid recliners. I remember seeing Iron Man 2 way back before they had the recliners, and it was very comfortable. And I had to watch it 2 times because I happened to be late. But both times were comfortable because they didnt have the new recliners. read more

We fell in love with this theatre on our recent family getaway. The seats are all huge, power reclining which we'd never seen before. The snacks were a very good value with refills available at no or nominal charge to feed the troops. read more

I enjoyed this place! Not being a fan of homogenization, chains, and mini-malls, I was charmed by the funky early 80's feel. Kinda felt like a kid again and we saw Zombieland, which was a crazy fun ride. read more

This isn't a terrible place to see a movie but the place feels small and outdated compared to some theaters in the Detroit area. The concession stand is sad, I feel sorry for the employees who work in such a cramped space especially since there is ample space to expand it. The bathrooms are clean as are the theaters themselves, cleaner than Birchwood's for sure. I'll also join in the chorus of others by asking why both Birchwood and Krafft 8 insist on showing the same movies, Krafft 8 would be wise to offer different movies but that's just my opinion. read more

Walking in, there was a relatively short line for the matinee tickets and snacks (popcorn and Dr. Pepper). While the theater's seats had been uncomfortable in the past, the new leather recliners and new floor plan make the experience far more enjoyable, and new construction is also expected to improve and update the place. The Bluewater Area deserves better! I LOVE to go to movies but neither theater in the Port Huron area is getting my/our business. Krafft has a lousy seating plan in most theaters; the aisle would offer the best viewing. Uncomfortable, lumpy seats. How come Krafft and Birchwood both started showing the same movies? I rarely go here. Its kinda outdated and if I'm really excited about a movie I'll go to the city to find a big screen. Plus they show some of the exact same crap as the other crappy theater in town. They literally show the same movie one mile away. Ugh. read more

I've read a lot of not so favorable reviews for this theater, but personally I'm a fan. The seats are much more comfortable then the other theater here in town located in the mall AND what I really think is a plus there aren't a bunch of teenagers to deal with on the weekends LOL. But seriously folks this is a nice theater don't write it off because of a couple of bad reviews. read more
