She said Krafft 8 has small town vibes and it is her favorite so that's where we picked! Tickets were $8.75 for an evening showing. It has been years since I have been to the movies and I recall prices being much higher. They have reclining seats so we were able to pick the seats. The concession stand checked all our boxes. Refillable popcorn and pop, good candy selection. The only downside is the concessionist puts the butter and salt on your popcorn and ours was SO SALTY! My boyfriend was happy they had buncha crunch and sweettart ropes. The theatres are fairly small but the picture and sound was incredible. Large bathrooms. We will be back for another movie soon!

Pepsi products (thumbs down from me -sorry but Ick.) Comfy seats that do not require reservations. They also offer DVD rentals. Show times are limited but the theater we were in didn't get overly packed. Should also mention, the staff was polite and friendly. It's such a shame more people aren't filling the seats at this place. Dinner and a movie date night used to be such a nice thing to do. It would be cool if they offered an afternoon matinee and maybe a weekend showing of some cult classic at a discount from the usual price. Who doesn't enjoy taking in something like that every now and then. The Lost Boys, The Birds, Psycho, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Window, Ghost Busters, and such.

I felt like I was sitting right there in that beauty shoppe and was part of the conversation, giggles and sorrow this play brought to the audience. It is not assigned seating so please make sure to get there in plenty of time - but if you do not - no worries, not a bad seat exists in this house. $15 is a steal. There are plenty of eateries around the area to support a meal before and a drink after. Parking is a bit difficult as the theater does not support their own parking lot. City parking is available a short distance from the facility or you might be lucky enough to snag a spot out front if you get there early enough. They do have a small concessions area as well.

It's a small theater so it makes for a very intimate experience. The cast is known to interact a bit with the audience and people come away enjoying themselves. I watched Fools yesterday and really enjoyed myself. It's great to support local business and at $15 a ticket pre pay, it is worth it. I like that you can bring your own beverages in if you choose or pick from snacks and some refreshments there. Seating is very limited, so buy in advance, but prepare for a fun evening when you do. Shout out to Noah and the rest of the cast of Fools, a play adapted by Neil Simon. I love silly humor, and this truly delivered. I also liked the raffle for opening weekend and getting a second chance by dressing for the theme. If you are in St. Clair County and want a break from the standard movie date night, come check this place out. Opens 1/2 hour before showtime and street parking is limited so get there early. And there are several nearby restaurants if you want a bite before or after a show.

Fortunately the management cares here and this theatre has kept up with the times nicely! This cinema has an awesome classic appearance inside and out, and the way this place is run hasn't changed much either (which is a good thing!). There are only two theatres in this cinema, but they have updated to some very impressive projectors that rival ones you'd find at Cineplex Odeon. Another nice feature about this cinema is that it isn't as much of a rip-off at the box office or the concessions compared to the chains. I would already like to live in Goderich, and The Park Theatre is yet another great feature to this town!

The Romeo Theatre has been on my list of old school theaters to visit for a while now and I managed…read moreto get to it before the Grim Reaper shutters the place. The owner still hadn't set a hard date for closing when I visited last week but is saying September so if you read this soon you might be able to hit last call at Ye Olde Cinema. It's strip mall location might not have the romance of a classic stand alone single auditorium theater but there is a thrift store just a stone's throw away and hey, business owners have to work with what they can get. Two theaters give this a little variety and it definitely doesn't feel like a multiplex. The popcorn is much ballyhooed to the point they sell it to go for folks who don't even want to buy a movie ticket and they're discussing doing pop ups with the popcorn machine after this 40 year old institution goes the way of the dodo. I found it better than most but nothing out of this world either. It scores high with the butter but the kernel size is smallish with more crumbs than you'd usually find. I do greatly appreciate Romeo Theatre offers a small popcorn and drink combo at a cheap price. All the corporate multiplexes charge nearly the same price for a small drink and popcorn as they do for a large combo leading me to gouge myself on more unhealthy snacks than I'd otherwise consume and oftentimes throwing so many leftovers in the trash bin. My last trip to Emagine I took my 3/4 full monstrous cardboard popcorn bucket home with me, put tinfoil over it and it lasted several more nights by which point it was far from appetizing. No such nonsense like that here though. Admission was reasonable, too. I'd already seen The Odyssey and I knew the end here was nearing so I opted to see The Brink of War, a misnamed talkfest starring a miscast Jeff Daniels as Ronald Reagan and the always excellent Jared Harris having a second go as a Russian as Gorbachev. I think the filmmakers got Gorbachev a little confused with Khrushchev as Gorbie lost his composure and pounded the table 4 or 5 different times. It wasn't the worst movie though it wasn't the most subtle at giving propaganda at certain points. As other reviewers have noted cup holders attached to the seat in front of you can pose potential problems but even with the eminent closure I had no problem finding a spot with an empty seat in front of me. Everyone in that theater less than a third full looked like they could remember the principal characters in that Iceland summit. I'm glad I made the trek out past 30 Mile though I might be kicking myself if a much more appealing film gets shown before the lights dim here for the last time.
