To my delight, my very first Barbie was included in this hidden gem of a collection! After this amazing experience, I ventured upstairs to the music room, where I admired the early instruments this town has preserved. It's fascinating to learn how these artifacts contributed to the town's history, alongside chicory--a coffee substitute--historically significant due to a shipwreck that involved 273 passengers. This wreck was attributed to a treacherous storm on the Great Lakes. Additionally, I've always wanted to know the names of the moving parts on Port Huron's Abt Bascule Bridge, and I was pleased to find those answers provided on a diagram. Unfortunately, I ran out of time in the music room and didn't get to finish my tour, but I am definitely planning to return for another lesson in this town's rich history!

The few scattered exhibits that were there included some local art and artifacts (notably an actual iron lung). A handful of brochures gave some information on the area, but it was not the most detailed or the most useful museum I've ever seen. There seemed to be some interesting artifacts in the boxes that were strewn around the basement, and perhaps the museum has better days ahead.

The Maritime Museum has many photos of World War II landing crafts that were built at Chris-Craft between 1942 and 1945. One of Gar Wood's last mahogany boats from the Marysville, MI plant when it closed in 1947 was named the Last Gar. Also on display is a Chris-Craft kit boat, built every year by students in a boat building class at the Algonac High School until 1960. If you like to see and touch boating history live this is the place to visit. Have a great gift shop.

They also have a concession stand that sells snacks as well as bingo accoutrements such as ink daubers and tape. They make it difficult to schedule tee times to start with and they were So disrespectful and condescending and told us it was a "privilege to play here" Also it cost 90$ to play!!! I play at courses all around Michigan and this course is Nothing special How would they know that we weren't Perspective members scoping out the possibility of joining? I wouldn't go back here if it was free and I live 10 minutes from the course!!

Since they expired I guess we had to pay full price which was an additional $55! Got a real feeling that they don't like people that are not members. Both times they made it difficult to schedule a tee time. Didn't return calls for 24 hours or more. For the round today I made a tee time a week and a half and advance. They stopped me and told me I couldn't make a reservation more than one week in advance..lol. So I waited a few days and called them back again. More of the voice message system and not returning calls. Finally made the reservation for this morning. Two days later I got a call from Brian "the golf pro " and he told me that they had no teetimes in the morning and we would have to wait until late in the morning for hours. We agreed. Imagine the surprise when we showed up and there were eight cars in the parking lot. So I guess we were lied to. One of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had. Talk about being made to feel unwelcome. Quite a smug character this Brian. Not very welcoming. Especially to people who would could be prospective members here. It's OK that Brian's not very good at his job. $40,000 doesn't get you much in an employee nowadays. He came out on the course and watched us. Drove up to watch us in the middle of the course at one point. He came out to make several rude and smug comments. When we played this course previously we had a pretty decent time. Thought it would be a fun place to come to if we lived closer. Based on our experience this last time I can assure you we will never be back.

This was a special occasion. I showed my sons all the Marvel movies in timeline order for the first time leading up to Avengers Endgame: Encore. The Friday evening staff was polite, helpful, and quick to attend to anything we needed including popcorn and drink refills I was running for often. The manager was so courteous and kind that I can understand why his staff was the very same way. (MGR name was Samuel according to my son, not sure myself). The entry, theater, and bathroom were sparkling clean. I appreciate a place without alcohol and the power recliners with swivel tray were super comfy and useful. I mentioned to the manager that the other theaters tended to keep their sound low and he said that wouldn't be a problem here and I think even went to check the settings . This was a few weeks back but it mattered enough to me to make sure I left a review. Bonus note, one staffer even noticed my Godzilla shirt and we chatted about all things Goji for a little bit. I look forward to returning with my family to watch Godzilla Minus Zero in November. Thank you to all the crew there that made it a night to remember for us! (They even took this photo for us!)

It's a small theater so it makes for a very intimate experience. The cast is known to interact a bit with the audience and people come away enjoying themselves. I watched Fools yesterday and really enjoyed myself. It's great to support local business and at $15 a ticket pre pay, it is worth it. I like that you can bring your own beverages in if you choose or pick from snacks and some refreshments there. Seating is very limited, so buy in advance, but prepare for a fun evening when you do. Shout out to Noah and the rest of the cast of Fools, a play adapted by Neil Simon. I love silly humor, and this truly delivered. I also liked the raffle for opening weekend and getting a second chance by dressing for the theme. If you are in St. Clair County and want a break from the standard movie date night, come check this place out. Opens 1/2 hour before showtime and street parking is limited so get there early. And there are several nearby restaurants if you want a bite before or after a show.

I felt like I was sitting right there in that beauty shoppe and was part of the conversation, giggles and sorrow this play brought to the audience. It is not assigned seating so please make sure to get there in plenty of time - but if you do not - no worries, not a bad seat exists in this house. $15 is a steal. There are plenty of eateries around the area to support a meal before and a drink after. Parking is a bit difficult as the theater does not support their own parking lot. City parking is available a short distance from the facility or you might be lucky enough to snag a spot out front if you get there early enough. They do have a small concessions area as well.
