I am still dreaming about the experience I had at Starlet. On a sunny Saturday morning in November, I walked into this beautiful store with an open heart and open mind. I had my small crowd of support with me, ready to find the dress of my dreams. Molly was our assistant, and immediately I felt a connection to her vibe, energy and clear expertise. She took the time to get to know my needs and desires, and got right to work pulling a range of dresses for me to showcase to my precious peanut gallery. All the dresses I tried on were gorgeous. Molly made me feel comfortable, beautiful and confident. It was so much fun. I felt like I needed to pinch myself to see if it was all real! The magic continued as we narrowed down all of the selections to my DREAM gown. Allie, the owner, assisted in the process, curating the dress to my exact body type. We had the most incredible experience this weekend at Starlet Bridal. From the moment my mom & I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and amazing service. The shop itself is absolutely beautiful, bright, filled with stunning dresses that were all so unique and elegant. There is such a range of gowns that would make any bride feel their most beautiful. I felt like a princess trying them on! I also loved being able to try on veils and a bouquet to get the full experience of how wedding day will look. A huge shout-out to Grace, who made my experience unforgettable. She was so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind, helping me find the perfect dress that I didn't even know I was looking for! I loved all of the little ways to embellish certain gowns. I felt like I was shopping with one of my best girl friends! She really made the whole process feel special and stress-free. I'd give 10 stars if I could. As a novice bride- I kept wondering why I had to make an appointment to check out dresses. It is because this is an EXPERIENCE. The whole team offered GREAT service. I Felt welcome, they went above and beyond to make each person in my party feel comfortable. They Offered beverages- my party does not drink and I was happy to see they had sparkling cider and sparkle water. Molly- huge shout out to you GIRL. She listened to my vision and brought my dream to reality. We had a really bad experience at another bridal shop. So we drove to Windsor to starlet, the girl that helped us was lovely... She made it a wonderful experience for my granddaughter, which was a great thing to see after our other one. I remember when they were in Montgomery Village and I took her there to buy her prom dress it was also a very good experience, so I'm glad we found this venue for her to purchase her dress and veil, even when the owner came in very kind, warm and welcoming. After the thrill of getting engaged started to wear off, the panic of where to begin settled in. I luckily had seen Starlet a few times while shopping around Montgomery square and called in. The first reason why I think this place is great is all of their dresses are about $2000 and below. This took some of the stress of staying at a reasonable price off of me. The second reason I enjoyed my experience here is because the shop is not jam packed with dresses in every corner, which can feel a little overwhelming for me since I'm a bit indecisive and prone to feeling claustrophobic. I wanted to wait sometime to write my review about starlet bridal because I wanted to process my thought and my feelings and make sure i wasn't over reacting on how the staff made me feel. One girl in particular who was the one that I was directed to for assistance. I had looked up bridal shops near me and most of them were by appointment only or closed for the day. I came across starlet bridal and it said walk ins welcomed, so I went in on September 3rd about 2pm, Very excited to go find a dress I called my sister and met her there only to leave super disappointed, overwhelmed, hopeless and scared to not find a dress because of my wedding day being so soon. Upon entering starlet bridal, there was a whole bridal party there and a bride getting fitted. I felt so bad walking into the shop while a bride was getting fitted, if there would have been some kind of sign on the door I would have never walked in. I was approached by a staff member and was told I couldn't browse because there was already to many people inside and then got asked what I was looking for I said "a bridal dress for myself" (me being the bride). I already felt so off just being in there for not even 2 minutes the looks I was getting weren't very inviting or pleasant, I felt like my ethnicity was an issue as soon as I walked in. The woman then said "oo she can help you" and directed me to a different staff member. The other staff member then asked when is the event I said "Saturday September 7th" she said "2025" I said "no this Saturday 2024". As soon as I said that the assistant got very worked up said "omg that's so soon, umm Oo gosh, ok well most of our dresses are for woman 5'7 and up and just by looking at you I can tell you're going to need a lot of alterations because you're shorter, also I don't know how many option we would have because just by looking at your body I don't know that we have many options I will have to go to our other location and possibly have a couple prom dress options but our prices range from $1,800-$2,500 just in case your on a budget " I am not a tall skinny gal. I'm petite and on the thicker side with a big bust. The assistant made me feel extremely uncomfortable on the way she kept looking and referencing my body type and then said "we'll book and appt for tomorrow at 2pm let me write your name phone number down and I will give you a call first thing tomorrow so that I can go over some options and what i was able to find for you." Then proceeded to say "actually I'm off tomorrow so my coworker will assist you tomorrow" I said "ok" and walked out. I never got a call not the next morning nor the rest of the day, fortunately I went to David's bridal and they made me feel extremely welcomed. The assistant sized me and got me multiple options right away! I ended up walking out with a beautiful dress after all even at a short notice. Starlet bridal should not accept walk ins. I don't feel like there is enough training or space for that and the boutique entrance is very tight, I'm not sure about the rest of the boutique because I wasn't allowed to even walk past the front desk when staff quickly stoped me when I walked in, but they should be more specific about their guidelines on their website because my experience was terrible here and most certainly not trained to handle a few days notice event. read more

She coordinated my appointment to perfection, pulling dresses for me as I pointed out various styles/details I liked. She is an incredible listener! Updated Review: I've has such a terrible experience here I plan to file a complaint with the BBB and the manufacturer or my dress. (Allure) I wrote out this review many times, but it boils down to the shop selling me a dress as "new" when it was clearly used. They charged me full price and failed to deliver the product I ordered. After having a bad experience with the shop I decided to pick it up and take it elsewhere for alterations. Wanting to get the heck out of the shop I didn't give it a deep look until going over the dress with a trusted alterations woman. Before leaving it for alterations I had to sign for the following defects. - Discoloration in the armpits - Frays and runs in the belt - Discoloration at the bottom of the dress - 3 missing buttons - Damaged lace - Fuzzballs all over the dress as it was worn This shop stated they ordered me a new dress, had me wait for months, and gave me a used dress. Let's start this off by saying as a bigger girl with a surprising amount of confidence but I was nervous about trying on sample dresses. From the moment I walked into the shop Serena made me feel like a freaking queen! She was super chill and not pushy about finding a dress in my price point but even better she was spectacular and making me feel good! She made sure I felt no shame in trying on dress after dress that didn't fit me and helped me visualize what the actual dress would look like on. The rest of the Starlet team spoiled my mom and bridesmaids with champagne and treats and ohed and awed as I tried stuff on. PRO TIP- Serena had me walk outside to see how the dresses move and look in the light. That was AMAZING! The dress came in early and the shops communication was wonderful. Azy did my alterations and was easy to work with and did a beautiful job! She even helped us with an emergency alteration for one of my bridesmaids 2 days before the wedding! I brought one of the dresses with me to use as a color swatch but they actually told me their alterations partner will make that one work for me. Any other shop would have just sold me something. My first interaction with this store was to call and see if they had a particular dress in stock. They did, not in the size we thought we needed, but the lovely lady who answered the phone told me that the dress wasn't being shipped any longer, and to caution me against ordering online. She told me to call back Friday to see if the dress was still there and they could hold it for my daughter to try on. We drove up today to try on the dress. It was perfect! Since it was a corset, it fit beautifully. We will have it altered to make it a little shorter, and my girl has her perfect dress. No one in the Bay Area had the dress. We are so excited. My friend and I did observe two of the sales reps arguing about some dress or bride, but honestly not my business nor did we want to eaves drop. They take your wants and needs into consideration while choosing a dress and can make it custom to how you would like to dress to be. Price is average (depends on how much you're willing to spend). If you are anything bigger than a size 10... DON'T. When I looked for wedding dress shops, I specifically made sure to find shops that had larger sizes to make sure I was comfortable when I got there. Upon arrival, I instantly got a feeling that this shop wasn't going to be for me. The lady who was working with me kept talking in hushed tones to the other employee, trying to figure out "what to put me in". I tried to share with her the style of dress I liked in my prior shopping trip, and she disregarded everything. At one point, she asked me what size I was, and to plan to size up 2-3 sizes. Fine, I get the educational part. Asking if I planned to lose weight? Absolutely uncalled for. The store owner came in, and the associate instantly pulled her and asked for help because she didn't think I could "fit in any" of the dresses we had pulled. I was honestly so embarrassed and uncomfortable. I wanted to cry and leave. The dresses they pulled were all opposite of what I said I wanted, and super "modest". It felt like they were trying to force me to hide my curves. Meanwhile, the bride trying on next to me was a size 4, and was being offered dress after dress and talking about how they should show her figure, etc. Being a larger bride is already difficult - let's face it, the bridal industry is for smaller bodies. But going to a shop that blatantly calls it out and makes you feel unworthy... no one should ever have to go through that. The owner turned the experience around a bit, which I am thankful for. However, her associate could use some drastic training, and learn a thing or two about bigger bodies. I would absolutely not recommend going to this shop. What a horrible experience. read more

Went shopping for a prom dress. Upon entering was told we had 15 minutes to look, try on and leave. Girl walked us upstairs not helping at all. Clearly stated it was not her usual section to work in. We picked out our own dresses, carried them down to try on. When it came time to pay we couldn't find her. The dress is gorgeous. The price fantastic. But it was definitely self serve as the service was dismal. read more
