I stumbled upon Starhawk by pure coincidence. I love this kind of store. This store adds to the reasons why I make my way into Greenpoint. They have everything from gemstone necklaces, singing bowls, bracelets, yoga basics, spiritual books, incense, candles, tie-dye clothes and much more. The two brothers who own it are sweethearts. They make custom requests which make unique gifts. The quality of their products is superb and reasonably priced. My friend and I went in for a specific purchase, one that required concentration. At some point I had asked for the wisdom from two of the many stones around. After I replaced the stones and with great thanks and observation, I may as well have been stoned by them. I was made to feel very uncomfortable in this place. Ironic as it was, it had been MY idea to get my friend a geougeous gift from this exact establishment. I did not wish to share this with my friend as not to disrupt the energy. Telling now, I obviously couldnt get past it. Unfourtunate- And that's all is is. A store. As the Simplest and dippyest customer to enter ever, considering the current kindness land scape... I was recommended this store from a friend who stated they had good candles... it was not what I expected! First off as I walk in everything is all over the place and it reminded me of a overpriced gift shop. Secondly I walk in and an employee (I'm assuming) he was the owner was arguing with a customer over not having there mask correctly on their face. Granted the customer was drinking something at the time and was only off for a moment. He was very rude and If I were you I would not do business here. The employee could of had a much better and nicer approach. Not worth the trip guys and also where a mask or get kicked out. read more

Thom the owner is really knowledgeable. go in there and let him know what you're trying to fix or do and he'll have recommendations. I also bought tons of crystals for wedding favors and decorations and he gives you an incredible deal. there are also monthly sound baths for $30 that go for about an hour and are really relaxing experiences. there's big gongs, crystal triangles, wind chimes, etc and live binaural music. you also get a crystal picked for the occasion by Thom. you bring in a yoga mat and lie in darkness among 30ish people. I like to also bring a travel pillow, and sarong as blanket. the website will have the dates listed. it's once a month, two days to choose from, and usually towards the middle or end of the month. read more

The owner is such a nice guy! I bought a dyed sweatshirt (he dyes them himself) yesterday in a kids size XL because I really liked the colors! He had no problem to quickly ask if I want a small womens made but when I tried the XL on and it looked great! Very helpful and pleasant to chat with. The shop has so much cool stuff. Ever since i've discovered this place a few weeks ago, all i've been thinking is "when can i go back next ?" I love everything about this shop. Good selection of books, cards, apparels, candles and incense, some dream catchers, bells, egyptian statues... salt lamps, blankets ... and great selection of crystals ! Most of all ... the pricing was very reasonable! The owner was very helpful throughout, and his energy was warm and welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Colorful and vibrant store with a huge array of clothes, jewelry, baby items, etc. Thom was super nice and friendly to help me pick some t-shirts. I have to say your spirited is definitely uplifted when you walk into the store because everyone is friendly and it's hard to be sad when you're surrounded by so many happy colors and good energy. read more

I love this store and the brothers who run it together. Starhawk does amazing customized tie-dyed shirts from pet portraits to skulls to Mets logos, tie-dyed in orange and blue or whatever you want. I have bought many things here from baby gifts- the cutest tie-dyed onesie with matching beanie and blanket, you could even get the baby's name out on it but I was in a rush. They also have a great crystal collection, books, candles, aroma therapy, other clothing and meditation tools. I bought a onepiece jumpsuit that I get a ton of compliments on and wore all summer. They also have wooden puzzles that are cool and this paint with water board- you have to see. Also they have necklaces that you can get with a photo of the moon version from the day you were born, such as waxing gibbous or crescent, it is true to your date, year. They can look it up. Trust me, you will find something cool here. I sometimes stop in because it feels so zen and actually puts me in a better mood. read more
