I was met by the manager, Beverly, who made me feel welcome, comfortable, and safe, even though it was after hours. The suite was spotlessly clean, with everything you could want or need. The bed was comfortable and the pillows, bedding & towels were excellent quality, adding to the comfort level. Beverly and her (husband?) went above & beyond, extremely helpful and accommodating, until I was back on the road again. I highly recommended this motel and the managers! Thank you for taking such good care of me

Pro's: Parking is immediately in front of your room…read moreQuick and easy check-in Very friendly and helpful lady in the front office Effective temperature control via the room's remote Room was spotless Room had lots of space 5 very comfy pillows on the king bed Very soft towels Excellent water pressure in shower Large kitchen with large table with 4 chairs, fridge, microwave, drip coffee maker, dishes and glasses Except for some occasional light traffic noise, room was quiet Comfy cushioned chairs outside each room. The chairs and table are covered so you can relax outside even if it's raining Con's: These 2 things are why I didn't give 5 stars: Spotty wifi. A large, tattooed man popped out of one of the office doors and just stood there looking at me when I pulled in, parked and got out of my car. He didn't say anything - I had to say hi to him first. It was very odd and uncomfortable. Notes: There is no phone in the room. There is a smoking area off each end of the hotel.

The room she gave us, sadly was third floor, right in front of the ice machine and elevators. We finished checking in and went up to the room to put our things down before going to get our bags. We could not get the door open. I went back down and she offered to come see if she could get it open, stated something about some of the doors are weird. She got it open, no problem. We went and got our bags, came back up and again, door would not open. The girl came back up to show us again. Seems you need to know the "secret handshake" to get it to open! LOL--scan card, listen for it to unlock, then a small beep--now you have to pull the door towards you, then turn handle and push! Whoohoo--nailed this trick by the time we left on Sunday! The lobby was clean. The front desk staff were all very nice. The hotel is pet friendly. The free continental breakfast was pretty typical. They did offer different flavors on the waffles which was neat. The lady was on top of keeping tables wiped down and the food stocked. The room was kind of stinky--thankfully I had body spray lol The one thing I was bummed about is I saw all the reviews on here telling about how there was no housekeeping--but they were older reviews--so thought surly they had rectified this issue by now! Nope. We got back about dinner time on Saturday and as we went into the room, the housekeeping cart and girl were across from my room at the ice machine. Upon going in the room, the beds were not made, the trash not empty and towels on the floor. We asked the front desk on the way out to dinner, he said it was due to staffing shortages. That was the reasons given back in 2020 on those reviews! I would have thought they could have hired people by now!! All in all, we were not really there for the hotel--but all the things to do near by. This was a decent price compared to some of the other places and would prob stay here again, now that I know what to expect .

The lights indicating how much you can bet do not light up and it's hard to determine what the minimum and maximum bets are. The screens are dark and some have lines through them. It's as if they don't care about the older machines and they are just filling space until they can replace them with newer slot games. One slot machine where I sat was very confusing and was not functioning properly. I called an attendant over who called a second attendant that pushed a few buttons and shook the machine, then said, it's working now. They never said that they would have someone work on the machine. In my opinion, that machine should have been shut down for service. The players club card readers on the machines do not work well. Your card has to be inserted several times before it is read. At one point I went to the Players Club desk and got a new card thinking it was my card, but it was my card, but no it was the reader. With all that said, I did enjoy my visit at Cliff Castle Casino, although it was more work than I had anticipated. Between calling attendents, getting a new card, fighting with the card readers and making sure I played long enough to accumulate enough points for the free $10 play, it was a lot of work. Once you accumulated enough points you then had to go to the Players Club and give them $20 and they would load $30 on your card.. just not worth the time and trouble. I would go again if I had time to jump through all the hoops. Otherwise, I would move along to another casino either in Flagstaff or Phoenix. Okay how would you write your exper

Full kitchen, with fridge and freezer, stove, and stove top to cook. They even have cups, plates and they give you dish soap and a sponge to clean the dishes and a drying rack. They also had wifi, tv, and everything you need!! They have a cute loft on top for the kiddos and my son absolutely loved it! They have a a dog potty area, tennis/pickle ball court, playground, pool, hot tub, splash pad area (it was not on when we were there) fire pit, an arcade area, shuffle board, pool table, and a reading area. Definitely was a great fun stay! I love that they are pet friendly as well! They also have good eatery nearby as well!

Arrived at the resort, checked in and given directions to our site. We stayed in a wagon…read more The concept was great but the wagon needs some repairs badly. The bunk beds squeak and the ladder rattles whenever a person is on them. One turnover at night and everyone wakes up to the rattles. The door is cracked and see thru light. Most of the 8 wagons doors are cracked. The people right next door were long term there. I have been to many RV resorts and not one had full time people living there. Met some residents there that have been living there over 2 years. A group of kids (teenager and preteens) arrived in the bathrooms for showers and took 3/4 and the floors were flooded after. Drains working but the kids were wild and noisy while in shower. No reason floors flooded by toilets and sink. I was doing laundry. Dogs taken into laundry room with sign that says no dogs allowed except service dogs. These dogs were not trained service dogs. The day before checkout, The next door neighbors were dropping F bombs every few words and the adults seem to be arguing with 2 young children, 1 an infant, were crying while adults yelling. The pool water was cloudy and the tile on the pool was filthy. The splash pad was so calcified and other minerals that the yellow, red colors were white looking. Looks like maintenance is lacking there a lot. Campers don't follow rules and no one is there to enforce. We left a day early because of the language going on and neighbors. Upon check out reported this to the person at checkout. She stated they have had some issues with the people, yet they are still there. Could be a great place, but needs cleaned up and campers need to be removed if can't follow rules. That comes from management. I would not go back.

Cliff Castle Lodge is... fine. Not great, not terrible. Just fine. It took a little bit of effort…read moreevery time to get the door to open because it seemed to stick for some unknown reason. Also, the ice machine on the 2nd floor didn't work. The room had a smell I couldn't place that IDK like dusty air freshener and maybe grandma used too much cleaner. The pool? Slightly murky and full of leaves. Staff? Gave major "ugh" energy. We had to check in at the casino itself and to be quite honest, there were pretty darn rude. But here's the thing... here's something about it. I loved nighttime out on the balcony. The casino's solid, the view is stunning, and it's quiet in a kind of sexy, empty way. Perfect for disappearing for a night. Not ideal for a honeymoon, but perfect for a "don't ask questions, just kiss me" kind of escape. Like if you want a secret off the beaten path place to take your lover that you're hiding from your friends kind of vibe. Not a place I'd bring someone to impress, but for a low-key escape, a hot little fling, or a night where expectations are as low as the room lighting? It gets the job done. Don't forget to get your rewards card at the casino because the buffet there at night has a wonderful surf and turf, and that card gets you a coupon. Also, There is some pretty cute stuff in the gift shop. I got this really amazing clutch! Highly recommend

There was no coffee maker in the room but had the coffee and items there, the light fixtures either were broken or didn't work. There was no onsite management to complain to. If you had an issue you had to drive up to the casino front desks to complain. The card key both stopped working. And no we didn't put them close to cell phones or anything, left in truck in sun visor for that very reason. One half role of toilet paper . Toilet also somehow was plugged up on second day so at 0230 in the morning it flooded the bathroom with water as to the toilet kept running. Then where was the breakfast located at? Never was told anything about it. The main building was locked up and says take all issues to the casino front desks which is a 1/4 mile away. Yes the place is pet friendly, so friendly that there was dog droppings everywhere around the pool area. My dogs went out with me and stepped in some and came back in and got it on the blanket that we had to ask for the bed in the couch. Yes we had to ask for extra blankets. For a sweet this is worse than a motel 6.

Where were these other people that supposedly worked there protecting and watching children? There was no one in sight watching the children. No one to help my tiny child at all until another, older child saw my poor defenseless baby and stood up for my daughter putting herself between the aggressive boy and my baby, repeatedly blocking the aggressor for several minutes. That little girl was even so sweet as to sit with my daughter while she was scared and upset until they finally would pay attention to me and let my daughter out! Where was the adult care taker that is paid to do this same thing a little girl did!?! My little one was sad and confused as to why I could see her through the glass but could not help protect her myself. They are locked in the play area and I couldn't even help my own child when she was crying and helpless!
